#3 Gaius is such a pain to do fast and I absolutely understand getting resets trying to do the sword thing, I've tried it casually on PS2 with my own intuition and desire to stop doing the stupid "pls hit the plate" game during Time Attack attempts and gotten it all of like once, its a hard thing to do and I'm unsurprised that even practiced and refined its a challenge to do consistently
This was so cool!! SotC has always been one of my favorite games. I admit I'm new the speed running community so I'm a bit confused on something, I could have sworn they're missing 3 colossi?? The snake one you run away from with Agro, the minitour with the long beard you grab, and the tortoise that shoots lasers at you? Are they not in the boss rush?

Happy to answer that! So if you look in the lower left hand corner, that yellow circle you see? That's your in game stamina, and every time you charge a stab, a white dashed circle appears inside of it, starting from the center and working its way out. This indicates how much a stab has been charged. If the white dashed circle reaches the outermost edge, that's what we call a full stab. A half stab would be if we only charged the stab halfway, so the white dashed circle would reach the edge of the innermost, darker yellow circle. We use percentage stabs like a half stab, .9 stab, etc to help us get one cycles on some of the colossus fights, or just to deal the right amount of damage without wasting time doing nothing but full stabs when we don't always need them. I did fight those - just using different strats and in a different order than you might expect versus the casual strats for the game :3

How does one make "half a stab"?
