Comments from "Bert Pert" / drummer with Freewill - 4/20/2011 ... Thank you for the compliments! And for posting these videos. As far as my name goes... it's PERT. Of course Neil's is PEART. But mine is PERT. Robert ... BERT ... BERT PERT, GET IT? And as for the Harley talk ... it was 'them' those Canadian TV people who said Neil rode a Harley, NOT ME! Thank you very much! My riding a Harley has absolutely nothing to do with Neil Peart!

@Kaledrums - Hello, Bert Pert here. I know Neil's name is PEART. But my name is PERT. As in Robert ... BERT ... BERT PERT. It's a 'nickname' given to me BEFORE I was even in this Rush Tribute band. As YES I KNOW ... Neil rides a BMW. It was the Canadian Television people who got that detail wrong. Please don't blame me for that.
@sethalos I'm in a Rush tribute band. I'm also in 2 other bands that do original music. We do the Rush because its fun and challenging. Being a good musician requires obsession, by the way; whether you're playing originals or Rush tunes, half-ass is for cubicle drones.
I saw the Rush A Show Of Hands videotape on laserdisc I was obsessed with his raccoon mullet and I have a raccoon mullet and the wal bass like that of the Show of Hands video I met Geddy Lee in the winter of 2019 at the Rush Fan Day in Cleveland during my junior year of high school and during the President Trump era and I saw them on the Time Machine and R40 Live The Big Money Marathon Turn The Page Prime Mover Manhattan Project Closer To The Heart Red Sector A Force Ten Lock And Key Mission Territories YYZ/ Drum Solo The Spirit Of Radio Tom Sawyer 2112 Overture The Temples Of Syrinx La Villa Strangiato In The Mood And I saw the Presto Tour in 2016 on the Time Stand Still Doc during my freshman year of high school Subdivisions Superconductor Show Dont Tell The Pass Closer To The Heart Manhattan Project Scars War Paint Tom Sawyer 2112 Overture La Villa Strangiato In The Mood
@sethalos - ... "THIEVES"?- OH LIGHTEN UP ALREADY! ... "LIVING OFF OF SOMEONE ELSE'S HARD WORK" - HA! You actually think we make a LIVING doing this! HA! Yeah right! WAKE UP! WE'RE JUST HAVING SOME FUN! THANKS FOR WATCHING ... G' DAY!
@bertimuspertimus You know, fun is one thing, obsession is another. Charging people money to come and watch a pretend Rush band is a bit out there don't you think. If you are talented enough to pull off Rush songs, then create your own music and take a chance. It's cowardly to hide behind someone else's hard work because you don't want to put the effort in to coming up with your own music.

It's both cool and ridiculous on how tribute bands think they're that band. All that talent they have gets used over and over on sumone elses songs and not their own. Would rather see the real bands.
I was a bit freaked out by these tribute bands. Although I can understand their love for the music, and the fact that they would like to cover some songs, it bugs me that they are living off someone else's hard work and talent. To me they are nothing more than talented thieves.
I use to be exactly like these guys. Then I discovered a wealth of progressive rock. There’s just too much music out there to deprive yourself. This is cringy as hell
I`m the fans Number One in Spain... i lolve Rush since 1980 and i saw some concerts in EEUU and europe... greetings...
Neil Pear rids a Red BMW to his shows, not a Harley. He's been riding red BMW's since his late wife got him his first one for christmas.
They're playing at The Clubhouse in Tempe? Man, I remember that place! Wen't there a ton of times. Wished I could have seen them there.
Neil rides a BMW
Wow, this really defines obsession.

I've seen rush quite a few times. You know what? They make mistakes, too.
Fans need to get a life sometimes.
Rush still rules.

Amazing that the narrator pronounces Neil's last name properly, yet the guy "playing" Neil pronounces it wrong.
