RUSH allways did & allways will give what the fans what they want. A great show. And im proud to say ive saw Rush in concert 24 times. And hopefully will get to see them another 24 times ! Rush Rules !!!!!
DREAM JOB! I SURE DO MISS LOOKING FOR RUSH CONCERTS EVERY YEAR AND GOING TO THEM WHEN THEY ARE NEAR. I SURE DO MISS THE BAND BECAUSE THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! GETTY AND ALEX, IF YOU ARE EVER READING THIS MESSAGE, I PERSONALLY WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR OVER 50 YEARS OF GREAT MUSIC, GREAT CONCERTS AND GREAT TIMES! YOU WERE A HELL OF A GREAT BAND THAT LEFT THE STAGE ON TOP OF THEIR GAME. YOUR BAND WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! THANK YOU!
As a stage crew member and forklift operator for 3 years for Peter Gabriel Vince gill Luther vandross. lollapalooza and Garth brooks and George strait. It is so cool to finally see my favorite band in the world do this. It is grueling work 16 -18 Hours a day. My longest stage setup was Garth which lasted 3 weeks from setup to tear down. Hats off to these guys!! I sure miss seeing Rush live though. I've seen them 26 times from California to Madison square garden in NY on my birthday. Many thanks to this incredible band for the music magic and incredible memories.
As someone who has done local stagehand work for many bands, I can say that it is hard work and it is eye opening to see how a concert comes to life. I've worked for 21 Pilots, Journey, Bastille, and many others. And I can say listening to them backstage, it is really cool.
Finally someone puts on a video of what it's really all about . I work in the biz as well and Big thanks to Kevin for showing alot of people out there it isn't like all the 'old days' stories they've heard about drugs, partying all night long, women all over the place.
When I saw RUSH during the S&A tour in Moline IL. the F.O.H. sound was amazing!! Probably the best I have ever heard them, and I have seen them over 20 times. Their live show is always incredible, but this one was the best as far as sound goes. Kudos to the entire crew, without you the show does not go on. If you have never seen RUSH, WTH is wrong with you?? Even is you don't like the music you will walk away amazed. It's not a show it's an experience. I hope to catch another show soon!!
Wow. What a wonderful pain in the ass! Thanks to the crews that always made this a possibility. I'm hopeful that you were rewarded in the ways you deserved, in the end...
@TitaniumByFire Venue of that size needs alot of speakers. Alot of speakers need alot of amplifiers. Alot of amplifiers need alot of equalizers, crossovers, modules. Alot of all that needs alot of cables. And everything needs to be controlled, rigged, and generally: plugged in.
You have NO idea how complex their setup is. This isn't a hometown rock band. Each of the members have their work cut out for them on nearly every song, they all have samples to trigger, Geddy alone plays Bass, Keyboards, foot keyboards (Moog Taurus type pedals), triggers samples AND sings. Each of those items has to be wired in. Plus, RUSH isn't known for some of the best sound in the business for nothing. A few amps will not cut it in a stadium.
Looks a lot of guys looking at this have been involved in this aspect of the business. Does anyone have an idea what it costs to put on this kind of production every night? I'm sure these guys (crew) don't work for peanuts, why would they? The responsibilities of keeping things on schedule, moving, engineering, etc. look to be rather daunting.
What happens if one of those semis crashes and equipment is ruined? Is there backup? Seems there should be three of everything like in an airplane. 8,000 people @ $50 per head - BIG BUCKS!
If you go from their first album it's just over 30 years. The guy doing the narrating probably read a script, and really about the music? If it pisses you off so much, then why did you even bother watching. CHILL OUT
I dream to see Rush live every day. They are musical gods.
I hope you saw them. I was born in 1994. I was deployed every chance I got to see them. I will never forgive that.
RUSH allways did & allways will give what the fans what they want. A great show. And im proud to say ive saw Rush in concert 24 times. And hopefully will get to see them another 24 times ! Rush Rules !!!!!
What year was you first Rush show?

At 1:18 is the J.L.C. in london ontario. I think. I went to that show too! SWEET!
When they are waiting for points, it means where they need to hang the lights and PA system and what not.
@TitaniumByFire this is not just three guys playing rock and roll
Wow a lot of coffee goes into setting up a Rush stage😀
Why must every documentary, whether it be about rock music, submarines, knitting, weasel sexing, have this generic inane rock dirge in the background?
Because..... just because
Re: rock music in bkground
I've heard the 40 millions albums sold for about 10 years now. Is there an up date to those numbers?
With downloads and other reissued music and vinyl it's probably over 50 million now.
I sooo do not envy them!
background song at 4:16????
160,000 Watts = 214.6 Horsepower

@SchecterGuitar689 It is pronounced, 'Pea-ert', but most people say 'Pert'.
anyone know the name of the song that starts at 0:06? Big rush fan but I think I've never heard that one!
TooL
Amin Sameti it's not a RUSH song.

@SchecterGuitar689 ...that is how it's pronounced ....
wednesday :))
Really Kevin, and what are your qualifications that you can make that judgement? Or is it just jealousy?
Christ almighty...the logistics!
Caralho. muito foda
No offense seriously but i think you're exaggerating, i doubt ANY rush concert would sound awful
its becouse he got permission

CHILL OUT
Is Steve Carell narrating this?
Sure thing buddy...
Keep trolling :)
Do the musicians appreciate what these guys go through every day? I would imagine most good players do but do people like Madonna have a clue?
trolling?
I gave up fishing in high school.
Why not use Rush’s music in the background. I’m already over this. Ugh!
Agree. As a life long Rush fan, I bailed out at 7 minutes. Couldn't stand it.
Geddy Lee has totally lost his great voice it makes me sad to think i grew up with Rush and to hear his vocals are fading fast.
i mean, it’s been 40+ years... i’d hardly call that “fast.”
Joe wolfy007 I think your ears are fading GEDs vocal is as strong as its ever been 😎
this background kid-rock garbage is headache inducing
Yep, made it unwatchable.
This guy is a clown. I went to see Rush a few weeks back and the sound was awful.
I've seen them 3 times and they were the best sounding shows I have ever seen. You probably just got unlucky.
