I like your writing but I highly doubt Stannis would ever give up half of his kingdom to Robb
What if Rhaenyra took Gwayne Hightower as a Lover instead of Harwin Strong?
This is so well written. It took me a good 5 minutes to realise this was not part of the book. I’d love to hear you read anything you’ve written yourself. You should post them.
Thank you mate, I appreciate it! I wrote this all myself!
A few problems with this. No mention of melisandra. Also stannis wouldnt have allowed robb to go on calling himself King. He would have taken that as treason. However I think he would have tried to reason with the starks and negotiate their return to the kingdom by bringing sansa ned starks bones and ice back to winterfell personally as a royal progress. Also he would have sent men to try their hardest to find Arya on the way. Renly bending the knee is highly uncharacteristic but in this scenario I imagine he would petition to stay in kings landing as regent while stannis made the journey north. (This would be advantageous for renly because he has a chance to rally more lords to his side and if stannis dies on the journey north he would be crowned king) but I think melisandra would advise stannis to send renly north instead seeing as he is a better diplomat and because she doesn't fully trust renly and in order to make renly fall in line she has to show him the true threat in the north. Robb still fights tywin who is not just angered that he is loosing to a boy but also because his line is ending with the death of his two grandsons. Kat still let's Jamie escape because tywin lies saying he has Arya but renly and his host apprehend Breanne and Jamie on the road. Renly treats with Robb after delivering Jamie Sansa along with neds remains and Sword. Robb agrees to join them and route tywin and after crushing whats left of the Lannister army Robb gets a letter from Jon that Arya is at the wall. Melisandra renly and Robb go to retrieve her and renly has an encounter with a white walker afterwards having a change of heart about stannis being king
You lost me at stannis giving two of his kingdoms to Rob stark
Man if this was an animated series i swear it would be fire
Isn’t it the king of 5 kingdoms now?
I don't think Highgarden allies with the Baratheons in this case. Remember, the Tyrells only married to gain access to the throne. It's likely the Lannisters would have secured that alliance first.
Though this is reasonable, the assumption would be that Stannis, like in the books, is having trouble having children, and is old. It means that Renly is likely to become king soon enough.
Margery would be a princess and eventually the queen in this case. Sounds like access to the throne to me.
Audio is a little choppy/echoey but this is quite well-written! It's a damn interesting thought experiment
What about Rob's sister
*knee-bending intensifies*
Why is Robb in Winterfell? He was well south by this point, was he not?
This is Part 2 of a bigger story. Check out Part 1 first but basically with Renlys support the Battle of the Blackwater happens much sooner and is much quicker in favour of Stannis definitively taking King's Landing. This forces the Lannister's south in an attempt to engage Stannis before he reached the capital which essentially frees up Robb in the North/Riverlands. As a result he consolidates his forces and returns North to defend it and prepare for what comes next. Hence that's why he's in Winterfell when he receives the letter from the newly crowned King Stannis the mannis
@@GOTGeeks88 had the greyjoys not attacked the north by the time Renly and Stannis met? My memory is hazy
In my mind they attacked but since Robb was North he easily and quickly beat them back with minimal damage to the North.
