Hi guys, little update. Shortly after this video was shot, Hyundai gave the Grand i10 some updates. ABS with EBD is now available in the Sportz and Asta variants.
in my humble opinion, i as a customer should never be pushed to pay extra or premium to get the safety packs..!! i mean..double standards ..!! just cuz a country has rules where safety kits aren't given that higher importance, doesn't mean u can get away with simply not providing them in the base variants of your Car..Atleast Maruti is fixing this malicious business tactics..but Hyundai..good god, u expect a premium to give us the safety equipments..

I have a grand i10 , believe me it is having a lot of features as compared to swift. In the speed of 150 160 km also it's satbility is awesome. Mileage,AC and othed interiors are really awesome.
Swift is no match to the finesse and elegant design of the Grand i10... And we drive a car to reach our destination and not race like a maniac... THUMBS UP i10

Review is clean. But the things that Grand i10 is better in real world condition. Yes Swift has plenty of safety features, rigid chassis but what about quality it is abot 950 kg!, i10 weights over 1150 kg and far better. And about fun this cars are not made for race, there are mer and bmw exist for that. And I am riding both this cars, Grand is clear winner as per quality, comfort, stability and overall space.
The swift might have more features and standard equipments than the grand i10 but its built quality is not even half of what the Hyundai offers. Also the grand i10 looks more elegant and poised. It looks as if the swift is halfhazardly built. Maruti please be done now with your cost cutting tricks...it's high time!
I was looking for this comparison of 2 hot selling cakes before booking my car. You guys are really right all the specs shared and actual capabilities of both. I was totally satisfied with all the specs and performance for grand i10 but for a namesake just tried a look on new swift and its stolen me at first look. The success story , design, mileage and Suzuki service had an upper hand on Grandiose 10. It's been a month, its really nice and the performance in highways remind same with 4Adults+2 under 18 teens in house. Practicing to avoid the jerks at lower speed.

Ashish Pandya disagree bro. Not just for the price. Diesel cars are more fun to drive due to the immense torque they deliver. They have enormous pulling power. Also diesel cars are more fuel efficient.

I loved the way you too fought and then ended this video between the two cars...Bt one major point that was missed is Valid thing is Swift has better highway manners then grand i 10...But a big but, grand on his own isnt bad either...It may not inspire you confidence on twistys but i own grand i 10 with an older deisel engine 1.1 which lacks punch...it performed good be it performance or mileage or highway manners...And with the new and a little bigger engine i guess grand does give a good performance...And a decent handler even on highways...nonetheless,video was crisp and point to point...Nice job dne fellas...
but build quality also matters for safety. just making the chasis strong doesnt make the swift more safer. i10 is more safe than tin can swift any day hands down
i have compare with swift VDI with Grand i10 sport diesel after review i have buy yesterday Grand i10 sport diesel because swift rate is almost 50k more than i10 and feature is good in grand i10 like LED screen, Rear ac, Fog lamp ETC..... in swift 2018 they compromise in jumper quality because of ground clearance only one think is good in swift 2018 is new design

Maruti is only for fuel economy and low maintenance for other factors Ford, Hyundai, Toyota etc.. are way ahead of maruti. Maruti can't think about quality.. Now a days Tatas are also better then maruti... New swift is not at all value for money.. it's selling at huge numbers because of its name.. old swift was much better then this crap..
Grand i10 gets ABS with EBD + Dual airbags from Sportz varient, about isofix those baby seats are rarely used in india and people who drive cars in this segment dont buy them.

Maruti Body is weaker than an egg shell!! Its an absolute Tin Dabba.. Dont even need to speak of the cheap interior quality of swift..Everyone knows it.. And its 1.3L old laggy diesel engine is no match to the refined hyundai engines.. Grandi10 stands as the clear winner..
I have both Swift 2015 and G i10 2016 at my home and trust me, apart from the lil bit extra driving fun, I FUCKING HATE SWIFT TO THE CORE! It has rattles all over plus the sheet metal is so thin it gets dented very very easily plus the NVH is so so bad in Swift. Maruti cars just DON'T AGE WELL. People always swear by Maruti's so called "Better service network" and "cheap maintainence" but in my case it's damn opposite. Maruti service guys just want to rip your pockets off no matter what! So far, I'm not at all impressed with my swift and I absolutely HATE IT! So, for me, it's the grand i10 which is the PERFECT SMALL CITY CAR. DID I MENTION THAT MY GRANDPARENTS JUST LOVE THE REAR SEATS OF MY Gi10?
The grand i10 only offers ABS in the top variant. It also doesn't offers safety as well convenience features like isofix mounts,ebd or projector headlight in any of it's variants. The Swift on the other hand offers ABS,ebd,dual airbags,isofix mounts as standard.

And swift baleno dzire ignis breeza ciaz rear and front bumper are light because they have used crumple zone. Because if any object impact on vehicle it absorb that object on own in order to protect passengers
