      Alex Brivght, cut Jenny some slacks bro. The fact that she has narrowed down her DNA map to West Africa and to a name is as rooted as it can get and that is something huge for someone who had little or no connections to her root. @Jennifer Filer, I'm happy for you to have boldly rediscovered your past. There are two Benin in West Africa, one is in present day Nigeria, while the other is Benin republic, formerly Dahomey. If there are any consolation, we are all closely related and coexisted very closely before the Europeans divided us like Apple Pie in their infamous 1884/5 Berlin conference. Both Benin's were and are still great peoples, so welcome home sis.

Pick up a history book and read, EDUCATE yourself, you won't die!! But I am sure this would be difficult for you to do, as you would prefer to wallow in your ignorance, cos just as they say, "ignorance is bliss" . However a reference in this video will help you expose your stupidity to the world. 47:50 mins to 48:30 mins of this video explains the history of Benin bronze casting and its relationship with Ile-ife. If you are not satisfied(which I am sure you won't be, because people like you prefer to live in denial and arrogance. For someone who manufactures wild preposterous claims like how Benin single handedly put west African history on world map at will, theres no lie you cannot invent 😂😂), I can refer you to other credible sources.

    MYTHS and WEAVE is the literary and artistic movement in circa 9th century Yoruba monarchical country when every myth and weave was thought to be the divine will of Olorun/Olodumare (Amuwa Olorun/Olodumare).
    HOW DID IT START? It started when the heads of the people (full of mints of ideas) were merry with myths and artistic works, when there was an artist in every household, when the literary arts could not be taken for triviality; the society began to find happiness and meaning of life in their mythological tales and artworks. This happiness and meaningful life led to the soft-pedaling movement known as MYTHS and WEAVE. It has since become a tradition, segueing from oral recording and experience to the present age of pen and paper, according to Tai Bola, 1898-1989, a folk philosopher and keeper of traditions. (That the artworks in Yoruba monarchical country is antecedent to the 9th century literary and artistic movement cannot be discountenanced).

      But I will advice you to be a really Benin-centric person by stop disowning the Benin oral tradition which told the Benin people that they had learnt the art and craft of metal casting from the Yoruba people of the sacred city of Ife to which the kings of Benin pay homage.

      If anybody will be jealous of the Edos, how can it ever be the Yorubas? How?
      We don't have any record in our history that an Edo man ruled Ile-Ife (you may have that lie in your history, but we don't); on the other hand, it is boldly written in your history that an Ile-Ife man was the first Oba of Benin. Now you see who's really jealous.

      There's truth to that, the Niri is older, but of a little relevance. Ile Ife and the Binis were still coming down the Nile basing including the Niri which settled that present-day location as well as Ife, these are little communities, the larger community settled in Igodomigodo (present-day Benin city) that became relevant to the world. Check out the old "UPPER GUINEA" map, Ile Ife is nowhere to be seen.

      @Jay Jay I don’t believe almost every African tribe migrated out of Egypt. There is NO real verifiable evidence for this. Most African tribes do NOT speak Afro-Asiatic Semitic languages. The only black African people that speak Semitic languages are several Ethiopian ethnic groups. The Hausa of Nigeria and Niger speak an Afro-Asiatic language, but it’s not Semitic, but Chadic. There are some ethnic groups in Cameroon that also speak Afro-Asiatic Chadic languages. The Hausa have proven genetic links to people in Chad and Sudan, and I can imagine the same for the other Afro-Asiatic Chadic speaking people of Cameroon, but most other West African, Central African, and Southern African groups don’t. The Ancient Egyptians themselves have more than one origin, but principally Central Western Saharan and Nile Valley origins, but also links to people in the Middle East (Southwest Asia).

    • @GuardianoftheGoldenStool
      @GuardianoftheGoldenStool 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jay Jay I don’t believe it. It was difficult to understand what you wrote in your second comment also, because of your grammar, and lack of punctuation. They are only attaching themselves to Egypt out of an inferiority complex imposed upon them by colonialists. The Ancient Egyptians were not black. They had black admixture, but they were not fully black. Similar to most modern and ancient people in Northeast Africa, they were either brown caucasians or a mixture between brown caucasians and blacks.
      Some scholars classify them as them as being apart of a category called the Mediterranean race, which includes people of Southern Europe, North Africa, Northern Sudan, the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti) , the Middle East (West Asia), and South Asia(India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal). That is quite believable, with the closest links to the Berbers of North Africa, other Northeast African peoples of the Nile Valley, and the Horn of Africa(Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea).
      In some cases, there may be some distant links between Ancient Egyptians, and other Sub-Saharan African peoples, or as some Ancient Egyptians share origins in the central western Sahara, there are West Africans who also share these mutual origins, but it is NOTHING overwhelming as in the case similar the way a large proportion of white Americans, white Canadians, or white Australians who share British origins.
      Most Africans don’t even speak languages apart of the Afro-Asiatic language family. That language family is primarily in North Africa, the Horn of Africa, with some Chadic branches in Northern Nigeria, and parts of Cameroon. The Ancient Egyptians spoke a Semitic language, which is apart of the Afro-Asiatic language family. Edo which you were speaking about is not a Semitic language.
