- 2011/3/11に起きた宮城県沖の東北地方太平洋沖地震(東日本大震災)が起きた時に、緊急地震速報を受信し、部屋での揺れ具合を撮影しました。このシステムはWeather Newsのサービス"The Last 10 Second"に"緊急地震速報アラームFor The Last 10 Second"というアプリケーションを組み合わせています。東京は推定震度1ですが、実際は震度5強の揺れになりました。揺れの大きかった地域では大変な事態となってしまいました。亡くなられた方々にはお悔やみ申し上げると共に、被災地での一刻も早い救助、復興を強く願っています。

本震発生前から発生にかけての様子がわかる非常に貴重な映像。地震関連の動画は多いけど起きる前から撮影しているのはほとんどない。貴重です。
津波による死者・行方不明者2万人が、この時点ではまだ全員普通に生活していたんだと思うと、改めてとんでもない大災害だったんだと思い知らされる。
「到達」って言った後の揺れがすごくてびっくり･･･性能いいんですね

ある意味貴重な映像かも。
カウントダウンの無機質な声が余計怖さを引き立てました…。

最大震度4、到達推定震度1がということで、あなどっていましたが、大変なことになりました。被害の大きかった方々の安否が心配です。私は大丈夫です。部屋に戻る途中で足をとられて転びそうになり、思わず声が・・・お騒がせしました。

揺れ始めから見れる動画は少ないので貴重映像ですね
地震も気になるけど部屋そのものに目が行った。

予想震度1がどうしてこうなる？って思ったでしょうね…
実際に自分が遭遇した時も揺れが長いなと感じたけど
こうやって記録を見てると本当に長い揺れだったんだと再認識しました。
あの音って本当にテレビの電源入るんだ…
実家に戻ってる時に自宅の近くのこの映像を見て驚愕しました。

自分はその間なにもできないでいるだろう。徐々に揺れが大きくなって恐怖しかない。

しかも北海道から九州の鹿児島まで揺れたってのが
こんな長く揺れてて相当怖いだろうなって思ってたら1:24から更に揺れて見てるこっちが心臓ドキドキした😭
自分も中野区民です。あの時はちょうど昼寝をしていましたが,余りの揺れの強さと長さに驚き、玄関を半分開けていつでも避難できる態勢をとっていました。恐かったです。一生忘れられません。あれから今日でちょうど四ヶ月の時を経ました。未だに行方不明の方々が沢山いらっしゃいます。亡くなられた方々のご冥福を祈っている次第です。
まさか地元の駅観れるとは思いませんでした！

当時小5(東京)で、国語の時間でした。突然緊急地震速報のカウントダウンが始まり、急いで机の下に潜りました。カウントダウンが終わっても地震が来なくて、「来ないじゃ〜ん」とか言いながら立ち上がった瞬間に大きな揺れが来たのを覚えています。当時より精度は上がってると思いますが、緊急地震速報が大したことを言っていなくても、ある程度警戒した方がよいです。
東京でこんなに揺れたんだから、震源近くはホントに大変だったんでしょうね…
僕はまだ幼かったので記憶が定かではありませんが、なんとなく机下に隠れていたのを覚えてます。地震は本当に怖いです。

これ見ると、あの地震が関東に住む自分にとっても、とても怖かった事が思い出される。
それにしても揺れの時間が長かった。
確かに最初は「あれ？地震？w」程度だったのが突如ドドドドド・・・・とどでかい揺れに変わりましたよね・・・。（小学生だったんですが）校庭に逃げる途中も揺れてて逃げにくかったです・・・。
私も東京都出身で足立区です。
この大地震の揺れは私が生まれて初めて体験しました。
1:40あたりからの揺れが現れたときは家から外に一目散へ逃げました。凄い怖かったです。

東京は推定で震度１と予想されていたのに結果的には震度５ということで驚きですよね。

本震当時のThe Last 10 secondは第1報と第3報しか受信しなかったため、後の継続報を受信せず、予想震度が低いままだったようです。(実際は第15報まで発表され、M8.1、最大震度6弱、東京都心では4予想でした)
これはすごいと言うより、恐ろしいものです。。。

断層破壊は3回です。一回目が震度5強で2回目が震度6強です。
3回目は忘れました。

@kbh59938 ダンボールは運よく崩れなかったと思います。ワイヤーシェルフの棚はわりと低重心なので無事でしたが、50センチほど動いており、直すのに苦労しました。被害は陶器の置物がが二つ割れ、ガラスの容器が割れたくらいです。
この地震の後、首都直下型地震とか南海トラフとか結構言ってましたね。
映像内のテレビ台の上とかに置かれてる物、落ちてきたら大変！！てか、怖いです！！
生きててよかったですね。
東京で２分間も揺れたことがこの地震の恐ろしさを物語ってます。

@52ppon is it possible that youtube's date was on march 10th ? i assume there is 15 hour timezone difference between japan and US eastern time EST. I assume the only way to make it into 10th of march is to upload it right after the earthquake in 14 minutes... which is of course possible.

does everyone in japan have that program running all the time or what? that's so cool! but also kinda scary when you know it's coming.
Please, tell someone if this is the big recent earthquake and if the program he used it showed when the earthquake occured .
I also seen a count down at the begining of the video, is that the count down of the earthquake ? There are programs that shows when an earthquake occur ??

It says Toutatsu made (xx) byou which means (xx) seconds until arrival. The map, apart from showing the epicenter also shows the location of his house and that the expected "shaking level" is a 4. The Japanese use a different system of meassuring the earthquakes and meassure the local shaking as well. Pretty sure this is level 6 shaking though

最初の予測音声で確かに？？？？となった
当時は津波の予想高も実際より遥かに低く報道されていたし、地震津波の予測は難しい物だというのをつくづく思い知らされる動画
うちも近所なので、この揺れ方を思い出して鳥肌が立っています･･･。
おそらく前半の予想震度は宮城県沖ので震源しょう。後半の大きいのは茨城県沖のものだと思っています。

@aro004 Wow, that early warning system is really cool. This is the scariest video of the earthquake I have seen... lasting over 2 minutes!? That's crazy! I paused the first few seconds of the vid and I looked at the map and the magnitude scale on the right and it is ridiculous, it was at it's highest point (red). I'm from California, which usually has lots of earthquakes too, but no matter how many there are I still get scared every time I feel one. 1:35-1:50 was ultra violent and scary!
Where can I download that warning app?
I hope that it will not affect our area/place. :'(

@Zeckenmagnet Remember the pretty bad quake in Strasbourg a few years ago? We just had a bad shallow quake in Brittany, France, which is quite unheard of.
when I was in 921 earthquake in Taiwan, I entirely got shocked. The 311 earthquake in Japan terrified me because it was more than 2 mins (not including afterchock), and it brought the horrible tsunami.

実際の東京中野の震度は５強なはず。
私も頭では「４０秒後、震度２地震が来る」というイメージでいたので、実際に来た５強の揺れにはテンパリました。
I can only imagine how a real earthquake feels like. The most powerful vibration in the ground i have felt, was from an explosion under construction work outside my house. Must be horrible to live in the cost and leave you're house and everything you own to protect yourself from the tsunami. Knowing there will be nothing left when you come back.

this video is apparantly from the quake of march 9th 2011 magnitude 7,2 as it is uploaded on march 10th. question is: where were you when this video was recorded, Tokyo? you felt it little less compared to being on epicenter.
@Ulvestorm do you mean the earthquake warning on the computer? it's fairly common, actually. mobile phones, t.v., even local schools will announce early warnings if and when possible

The japanese earthquake intensity scale's highest value is seven (for those interested, details are on wikipedia), enough to do major structural damage, make it very difficult to stand freely (or even with support). On the display, it shows that the site on land near the earthquake has a forecast max intensity of 4 out of 7 which often occur in Japan and are represented by the first 10 seconds of the shaking.
