Day9, you misunderstand the purpose of witchwood apple. Obviously the 2/2s aren't worth it. The sole purpose of running the apple is to fill your hand with cards. Then you can play a mountain giant on 3, or a huge twilight drake on 4, or armor up with ferocious howl.
I mean it even happened to him on the reveal stream I agreed with day 9 assessment when I first saw the card but when I saw it in action that is a deck defining card right there mountain, twilight, the new 5 mana taunt, howl that’s 8 cards in your deck (2 of each) that want a hand that means witchwood apple enables a third of a deck to be incredibly powerful that is worth a card slot
The deck won’t work. Day9 knows that’s the point of witchwood apple and a. is joking b. doesn’t care because it changes nothing. in a few months when hand druid is top tier I’ll feel dumb but it would surprise me.
wild growth serves its purpose: mana ramp. skip mana 3 go to 4. the apple requires: play on turn 2. turn 3 play and hang 1 mana. turn 4 play 2 2/2 minions.... that is a total of six mana used over 3 turns. You can put stronger minions out per turn with every other class in that same time frame.
I really want to see a combo deck with Dollmaster Dorian, witchwood piper, elven minstrel, Baleful banker, Malygos and sinister strikes. It only has to work once to be awesome.

Dire Frenzy seems ridiculous. +12/+12 in stats for 4 mana. I suppose it could be reasoned that it's slow, but Bonemare was a bit slow too and this feels like that level of power, on crack. It's incredibly consistent on top of that, it works well with so many beasts I could write paragraphs on it. Maybe it's just fine and helps Hunters enough against the other decks. I dunno. I kinda fear it.
If Handruid is a thing, Witchwood Apple will be good. The ONLY reason to run it is to fill your hand with 3 cards. You don't play these 2 mana 2/2's until you have nothing better to do. You get +2 HP on Twilight Drake / Bewitched Guardian, able to get Mountain Giant out quicker (turn 3 with coin), and can easily use Wispering Woods for seven 1/1's. Overrall, if next expansion has more Handruid support, this card will be run 100%.

Oh and because it doesn't go though divine shield. And snap freeze feels like the new ice lance to me... Well except it can't damage a hero... Finally Nightmare amalgam dies too easily, as it dies to all crab and "kill x tribe" And I just MIGHT start playing rogue with Tess Greymane. Love taking card from other classes and throw them at them :D
Book of Specters combo: Emperor Thaurissan + Drakkari Enchanter - Next Turn - Lorewalker Cho + Faceless Manipulator + Faceless Manipulator + Book of Specters + Book of Specters + Mossy Horror. Fill your opponents hand with slightly smaller Sprint cards that discards their removals - Mill Mage top tier.
So piper draws banker, which you then play to get shudderwock to put a copy of itself in your deck which you can then draw using the piper's battlecry ability? Seems legit to me. (I know you probably need to play piper and banker twice for it to do that, but hey. You'd probably want to run two of each in such a deck anyways, right?)
What I feel people Mis about genn (the even arch-type) is you will have the mana to use your hero power on every odd turn so on 1,3,5,7,9, you play 2-c and HP a 4- cost and Hp and so on So it could read do your hero power for free on every other turn until you play your death knight which is pretty good

The 10/10 for 10 is a buff to the card, once its played it counts as a temporary buff and is silence-able. It should not stick when using Dire Frenzy, you should just get the 4/4s.
Hearthstone should have a mechanic where all your unused cards add to your dust count monthly. That way there'd be an upside to all these cards in my collection just collecting dust.
If you want echo to keep the stats you have, play Eternal. ;) Though echo functions differently there. It clones the card once. So a 2/1 with echo, you get a second 2/1 with echo. But say you play a card that buffs the next creature in your deck. You draw that card, it's got echo and it's buffed. Boom. Second card also buffed.

Shudderwock & Zola the Gorgon combo seems to be super broken if you give them taunt with Wyrmguard and copies with Saronite Chain Gang. Every turn you'll be looking at a wall of minions, especially annoying if he used corpse raider for the deathrattle.
Like most expacs, the strongest most meta defining cards will be common cards that synergize with new mechanics, and rare-higher cards that deal with older play-styles. Paragon of light + Bell is a 5 mana 4/6 taunt lifesteal. Sounds pretty good to stabilize against aggro. The question is: How often you'll get those 2 together? And do you survive to turn 5 against aggro? I don't know.

Nightscale matriarch + vivid nightmare + circle of healing = 4/9, 4/5, and 2 3/3 whelps for 10 mana.
