How Alperen Sengun is Quietly Breaking the NBA

Alperen Sengun has been one of the best NBA players this season. He is one of the main reasons why Houston is so much better this year and why you should see NBA highlights. Sengun is starting to look like the next superstar for the Houston Rockets as expected with the comparisons with Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets at Rockets will be a fun matchup this season. Last season, Sengun didn’t get to show a lot of what he has to offer because of a limited Rockets offense but now under the new system of Ime Udoka, Sengun as well as guys like Jalen Green and Jabari Smith Jr. have been benefitting from the offseason additions of Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks, and a lot of other veterans that the Rockets front office have signed in the NBA offseason.
But can the Rockets really make the playoffs this season? The new Rockets offense has been helpful for Sengun as he is now being used by Coach Udoka as the team’s playmaking hub. Right now, the big man is putting up all-star type numbers and he is starting to look like a younger version of Nikola Jokic. Alperen Sengun is not your average center. He doesn’t move like Victor Wembanyama or Chet Holmgren, but he does play like Domantas Sabonis or Jokic. He just might be the star that the Houston Rockets need to get back on top of the Western Conference.

The thing im most excited about is that if any 2 of the other guys (Jalen, Jabari, Tari, Amen or Whitmore) hit actual stardom, Sengun is already a foundation to build a dynasty. Imagine if he turns out being the 3rd best player on the roster with elite weapons around him.

Certainly a franchise player. Jalen Green is not a consistent player and has low basketball IQ as well. He cannot read the game. You cannot build a team around him. Certainly it is Alperen. I never heard any veteran NBA stars praising Jalen's game but all have queued up praising Alperen's game.. Paul George, Kevin Durant, Nikola Jokic, Sabonis, Anthony Edwards and so on.

I think Sengun need a couple more years untill we know if he will become that top player or will he stay as a good regular player. Top players are almost super good every single game.
I also believe that with the new coach he will learn different tactics which will improve his game. He is obviously very talented and has an high IQ but its all up to him.

Yeah man. OKC selected Sengun 16th overall and traded him to Houston for a couple future first rounders

Sengun's floor is Pau Gasol while his ceiling could be Nikola. But that is too much to expect. The Joker is an All Time Talent. arguably a Top 20 player of all time once he is done.

Thunder traded the pick, not him. They picked him because that was Houston's request. It wasn't guaranteed that the Thunder would pick him at 16th, if the trade didn't pursue.
