@@PolarBearProblems next time go to major cities like white run. and do the seweres theres skeevers down there, easy xp for low levels. i think every major city has sewers in the mod
Recommendation for Wildlander, I started in Riften, but Whiterun should be good too. Start picking plants! Start leveling you alchemy and eventually youre gonna be making decent income from selling you potions. Buy some good armor and some good weapons. Depends on your playstyle but if you did like me and played a lightarmored melee/archery build, going into combat I first fired some shots from my bow, and then when they enemy got close I waited for them to try to attack me, then sidestepped so they missed, and then I struck hard. This is how to do it, never take on more than 2 guys max at first, even that is sometimes overkill. There is no shame in running away and living to fight another day either!
I always have a laugh when people discover the wonderful world of gameplay / immersion mods in bethesda games lol. These mods are my jam. Only thing I can say is that, crazy as it seems, theyre incredibly rewarding. I play on console so I didnt have the benefit of mod packs. It took me a couple years to fine tune a realistic, challenging but fair game that remained so for the whole duration of the campaign, but once you do there's really no other game like it, and I include all those soul games dem kids love into the mix.
It was definitely quite the experience. I could see myself getting super into this game if I A.) Wasn’t recording, and B.) Wasn’t quite as busy. It feels like a world more than a game, and I would need time to dump into it! What are some of your favorite mods for Skyrim?!
@@PolarBearProblems I have finished listing my 295 mods recently and Ill try finetuning the order some time. On consoles there are some problems with the original engine like script bloat build up you need to be aware. I used to be into super realistic mods. Nowadays my list mixes things up to achieve a balance, leaning into a less stressful realism. There are all sorts of mods and pc has more fine tuned alternatives, but to stay on the combat conversation: I reduce movement speed and implement a wade in water mechanic, prevent jumping mid combat, implement a dodge mechanic, implement a full block mechanic (blocking prevents all damage and poison damage as well, but consumes stamina. You still take damage if the stamina is depleted), implement buffs to archery depending on distance, implement a resistance system for each type of creature / armor type and elemental damage, improve the hit boxes and AI, improve the physics etc. The centerpiece overhaul I opted to implement these other mods is valravn, because imo its the most balanced against its competitors (vigor and wildcat).
@@PolarBearProblems That depends on the mod (or the option you choose). Some "revive" you on the spot in return for a sacrifice (money, dragon souls, soul gems, ...) while others would make you respawn at a certain place (tavern, cave entrance, home, ...). The whole point in the end is to avoid reload, as the Skyrim engine doesn't "clear" the data completely, unless you restart the game. That could possibly cause glitches in the long run or even break quests.
@@PolarBearProblems yes dude! Lorerim is amazing, currently playing through it right now as a heavy armored two-handed shouting build. It's a little hard in the beginning but when you die you respawn so your progress is saved. And there are some good things you can do the first few levels. A. read books, reading books gives you exp which makes you level up, B. do fetch quests, fetch quests give higher amounts of exp and some coins. It's very fun and not too hard to get strong either!
It is louder than a lot of other videos probably, but it’s the same volume as my other videos… if that makes sense. I came over from making music, so it was always about trying to get it as loud and clear as possible. Sorry about that!
Is it requiem based? I'm Leary if anything very difficult without a mod that lets you respawn without reloading. Reloading with heavy scripting will break your save eventually :l
Death alternative mods are incredibly script heavy and come with their own risks of breaking your save or causing frequent CTDs. The wildlander website has some general "safe saving" guidelines which greatly minimize the chance of a save corrupting your game. There is also the save unbaker mod which eliminates the risk entirely but it makes dying in game very tedious. I've put over a thousand hours into wildlander and as long as you don't save while in combat, you most likely won't experience issues. Also the list is requiem based.
@Takyon4520 ahhhh interesting! I did read about not saving for the first few minutes after loading, or within a minute of each other… the combat one makes sense too!
Huh, I've put similar numbers into Lorerim and ZedSprinkles' Phoenix Flavor Fork, both of which use death alternatives. Never had a death save crash issue, or script jank. Most of the time that comes from an incompatibility somewhere else in the list imo.
I plan to! I recognize that there are some games that are more fun to play, not record. When I have like… 10-20 hours free I’m gonna sit down with it and really give it a chance. That being said… any tips?!
What is your favorite Deadric Artifact?
500GB+ of mods later : "Still not immersive enough, Karliah still walks away from the damn chain lever!"
JUST PULL IT
Lmfao that first death was too darn funny!
That cat was so RUDE to me!!
great editing. been using this mod since it was called ultimate skyrim back on oldrim
Oh nice! I definitely want to give it another shot when I have more time to pour into it.
Thanks so much for watching!

Ohhhh interesting! I tried reading the FAQ and almost immediately got overwhelmed haha

Like I owed them money…
Sliding down the snowy hill is very accurate lol. Nice next scientific experiment Bear
Haha thank you. I couldn’t find a horse in time to climb a mountain, but maybe next time!

That’s awesome! Thank you! Im gonna definitely sit down and test it out pretty soon!
I tried this modpack I didn't know requiem was in there and it whooped me
I got it cause it looked pretty. It preceded to beat my ass like I owed it money.

@marconihimself nice! I’m definitely going to have to check some of those out!
Does anyone know if it's possible to install Mantella on Wildlander?
Dude used no critical thinking skills
Thanks for the comment!
Lol kill em with kindness, i respect it
Hmm.... the pack lacks a death alternative mod. Reloading is rather bad for the save file.
Ahhh really? What do death alternatives do?

@henryethagaming1368 ahhhh interesting! You learn something new everyday!!
@@PolarBearProblems it basically lets you respawn without reloading the save to avoid crashing.
Ahhh. Kind of like Outward?!
I think I would've said "nope" and given up after the first hour or so. Don't have the patience for this kind of thing. 😅
I tried so hard… it beat me down, and down, and down…
But it was. Fun experience!
You're honestly asking for it.
For what?
Only list I play Dylan and team absolutely rock
It was super impressive! Something like 550 mods? Crazy!
I wish these were available for console
I know, right? And also, creation club is a scam.
If your computer can handle it I can't recommend lorerim enough
It's wildlander on steriods
Wildlander ON STEROIDS? My computer ran wildlander fine, but I don’t know if I MYSELF can handle it!!
And unlike Wildlander you can start fighting from as early as level One.
Oh really… I’m intrigued!!

I'd really suggest giving Wildlander another go. You can become insanely powerful, and it feels incredibly rewarding when you get there.
