- Hello everyone welcome to my TH-cam Channel. I am Amber and a fluid artist from Dallas, Texas.
Every year Michaels one of our arts and crafts store gets 9 inch wood hearts which I love to paint on! They are a good price and quality and today I wanted to combine fluid art and blob/dotting art. I was inspired by artist Brandon Rollin who does AMAZING fluid art and dotting art on his pieces! Definitely check him out on his Instagram page @brandon.dot.rollin

9 inch wood heart cutout from Michaels. I did gesso this with 4 coats of white gesso.

Hi Amber, love your blobby art. You mentioned covering with resin. Do you have a display or tutorial of covering in resin? Do you make it deep to cover the dots? I would love to see how you do it.
Thank you! I don’t have video on how I resin but you should checkout Mixed Media Girl’s TH-cam channel. I use her resin and she does lot of resin tutorials. You determine the amount of resin used by how large your substrate is. This heart is 9 inches so I used only 3 ounces of resin to cover…

Fascinating! You’ve got me hooked. I want to give this technique a try. I have those bottles and went to Michael’s today and bought the modge podge. Do you like the Modge Podge & varnish PM better than the Golden Gloss Pouring Medium for the dots? I would have thought the Golden Gloss PM would be too thin to maintain the dot structure. Can you give me your recipe using Modge Podge & varnish?

Medium will always be thinner but you can add more paint to make it thicker. I have the exact recipe in one of my blob videos but the basic recipe is 60% modge podge, 20% paint and 20% gloss varnish…
Wow!! I love how they turn out!! Do you just mix some of the piggy powder with the golden Med. too? I guess it ends up pretty thick at 1 to 1 parts. 🤩🥰
Thanks dear! 🙏🥰❤️ For the Piggies I wet them with GAC 100 and then add gel gloss. After that I add my medium… I basically do this for all fluid art techniques… For Shelee blooms I pour the untinted paint straight out of the can…
Ya, I realized that after I posted it because I always do that myself too!! I have one little batch of acrylic paints to use up and I'm going to try a few blooms. I have everything for them and have done a few swipes but it's time I started trying blooms again!! Wish me luck, lots!! 🙏❤@@ambergoodwinart
