The iskall street lamps would probably look better with a top cover, like those street lamps that have a bit on top to direct the light only down. Would add some detail and a more modern vibe!
I was gonna say blackstone pressure plate then I realized it's smaller than the light block
it's not supposed to be modern though..
OMG, a wild Wrathia pfp 😍🔥
I was thinking a finial on top would finish Iskall’s lamps, but how to implement it? Button? Pointed dripstone?
You could also add something right under it like an anvil for decorative support
A sewer system would be cool. Especially in a murder mystery, convent escape route.
ooo yes that’s a great idea
Stress is the most underrated builder on the server. She creates some really interesting architecture.
ikr! Blew my mind just now, those little townhouses look soooo good
Agreed.
You should get Ren and/or Skizz involved in writing/planning your murder mystery! They're both self-described "theater kids"
But that doesn't mean that they write too :/ I know Ren is good at coming up with ideas for stories, I don't know about skizz.
Stress will do just fine without them.
@@adalon378Skizz is an excellent storyteller. Been watching his streams for quite a few years at this point
Either way, the murder mystery will turn out amazing, I just KNOW IT!
"Self described" mate skizz was actually a theater kid.
I definitely need a goat horn of Iskall saying meep meep 12:20 😂
"you can send emotions" hahaha can't wait to see Joel's next episode
Ideas for the area behind Iskall's houses across from the dock area:
1) make a small park with benches, fountain, and maybe gardens or little picnic areas
2) make a spooky, little graveyard
I love how interconnected everything is over such a large area with everyone's bases. Makes me want to develop my base further and expand the reach rather than cramming everything into a confined "village" area for convenience.
Stress if you don't want to build the entire interior for every single house, because you probably won't need so much space for the game anyways, you could do the thing that you often see in video games and add locked doors with nothing behind.
You could use iron doors for some because they can't be opened, or you could use any door, make a tiny black room behind it with a sign reading "Door locked" to simulate like a popup in a video game.
I love this. Iskall trying to convince you that its gotham and the entire mess about the Inn is hilarious. Good luck fixing the fan!
I still say False's river should be diverted through a canal down the centre of the murder mystery street... Make it based in Venice 😂
Omg the texturing is looking so good! Bdubs has some competition lol
The blue (teal) house is like a Perry house
I am so exited for the murder mystery coming up, keep up the great work!
Iskall's lights would probably look better with some trapdoors on the sides of the froglamp. I'm imagining mangrove, acacia, or maybe even copper.
Or birch.
Just kidding
Houses coming along so cute! If the street comes to an end maybe make a cul de sac with a larger house at the end? Not really a mansion but something bigger than the ones on the sides and stands alone.
The London lamps as Iskall calls them could work but maybe switch out the pole for polished black stone instead of deepslate bricks? One of those times where some sort of black wood for fences and trap doors would be amazing.
All this street needs is a big yellow castle and it's Balamory
Whats the story in Balamory?
@@_Meai_ NO.
@@Fyreflier Wouidn't you like to know?
@@_Meai_ 😭
@@Fyreflier i'm sorry but you set me up 🤣
To make lamps look better add slab on top and hopper under frog light
If I'm picturing the map of the server correctly, it would be really ambitious, but you guys could connect to Impulse and Bdubs' cyberpunk city
The houses are so beautiful, I love the texturing
that would mean crossing all the way through pearl's post office. also far more ambitious than you are even imagining, it would be 6 to 7 times the size of the current cyberpunk city
also why would they ever do that considering both the alley and the city have plans to be separate minigames
I think it's good to start building few interiors already, because the story of Murder Mystery might be inspiration for the design but the interior design might also be an inspiration for the story ;)
You know, Grian built a similar street as his base a couple seasons ago. He might have a good input on the lamppost design!
STRESS!! if you put a street in front of your base you should call it ✨"memory lane" ✨ because its the Sentimental Stress Season!! :D
nether brick wall & fence would look good as a drainpipe!!! especially with a little armor stand nether brick slab tilted downwards at the end!!
If you are from the future, the iskal episode where they build together is #19
this needs to be up higher for future people
A suggestion for street lamps, deepslate wall as a base -> netherbrick fence as a pole -> a hopper to connect the pole to the light -> the froglight -> and a cap (maybe a deepslate slab or a carpet).
I didn't hear the fan until you pointed it out. Now I can't unhear it. What have you done?! 😂
this alley is already looking so cozy
and i love it
btw why not make a plaza connecting all 3 bases (with their respective "streets") to the alley?
0:42
Iskal's first lamp idea would be nice if the froglight was replaced by a copper bulb.
the little town is looking incredible! I can't wait to see it finished!
The street is looking wonderful and cute!
Ask Skizz for the Mangrove roots, as he has lots from cutting down mangrove trees
OMG STRESS THAT’S LITERALLY BURANO! It’s amazing really!
a little cafe with a lake view on the corner might be cute
I believe the Iskall episode is No. 21. (If not, it's No. 20.) Just so the information is here. Hope it helps someone
Reminiscent of season 8's big eye shopping district. I love the houses so far!
Make a half mud, half clay machine. Would be easier than going to the mangrove swamp every time.
If the building on the end of the street is not large enough, a stone and brick pier with benches and a tree overlooking the water could look nice
You should make some street buildings wider for more space and variety
Stress your little houses and all your street looks wonderful! You are one of the best builders in the server, and I love your bubbly personality. You are a breath of fresh air 💜
The timelapse music is giving Great British Bake-Off vibes, and I love it.
the buildings for the murder mystery are so freakin cute that i just had to add one or two to my modded world! the texturing and colors on them are just so beautiful and i just love them so much!!! thank you for the inspiration Stress💗💕
Stress: “This reminds me nothing of gotham”
Also Stress: Builds a dark and sinister looking house.
Iskall talking about cleaning his room and procrastinating is extremely relatable. Please remove those horrendous street lamps... the lanterns look heaps better.
With those gutters on the street, it would be really cool if you could find some way to get them full of water when it's raining. Maybe some dispensers with water buckets underneath to waterlog the stairs?
For a character on the murder mystery, I'd like to recommend "The Butcher", a brash person who is actually incredibly skilled with their trade, able to break down animals as quickly as humanly possible.
A few years back I played such a character in a Jack The Ripper themed murder mystery event.
I love the murder mystery street so much Stress! If it was a real place, I would definitely visit!
14:38 I think the wooden fence post lampposts need to be made out of the deepslate wall blocks just to give it more of a modern city feel, as the wooden fence posts just feel more medieval village like.
You could try a modified version of North Pole, Alaska’s candy cane street lamps, using levers for the curve and some sort of dark post-you can also use a redstone lamp for a more detailed light, triggered by the lever on top.
Stress' videos always lift my spirits. Especially when they also involve Iskall Lots of laughing and banter.
These days it's starting to be hot in the towns, so it's nice to have some kind of trees or general green staff on the street so it catches dust, makes shadows, produces oxygen and makes a better microclimate.
“Scooched about,” is my new favourite phrase….
Inn & Out would be the perfect name for an Inn with an arched street path through it
The third house on stress's side looks like Perry the Platypus, and it kept distracting me throughout the video 😂
5:28
You should also add some other buildings, like a police station, a forensic lab, security/surveillance company, weapons shop.
For your noise problem, have you tried a Fourier transform? What it does is take a recording of just the recording environment and then uses that to filter out the background.
You could ask different hermits to decorate the different interiors! Have them pick whichever calls to them
Loving the build this season, Stress! So cozy and colorful!
Iskall and Stress have the best banter I love their friendship sm
you could consider making a deal with Skizz for Mangrove Roots.
they can be crafted with Mud Blocks to make more of the muddy mangrove roots.
Absolutely loving the murder mystery street. Where you wasn’t sure about how to do the return behind Iskalls run of houses why don’t you do a bigger building on the corner, like a pub?!? Imagine like an east end style L-shape pub on the corner as a feature ☺️🧡
Seems like all the hermits got setup upgrades or some sort. Nice to see them happy about it
Stress, I LOOOOOVE the music you’ve been using for your timelapses!!! The flute solo is giving me LIFE! 😍😍😍😍 (as you can tell by my username, I’m not biased at all)
I really liked the new time-lapse music you've been using! It feels mystical and also energetic!
I know I'm way late to the episode, but Nether Brick has a Dark Fence option. :D Loving this mini neighborhood in the back alley of the neighborhood.
You could end the road with a culdesac or roundabout with a bit of vegetation in the center. Just a round bit of road for people to turn around in their cars easily.
Some old houses use big chains as drainpipes. So maybe instead of using fences, you could use chains.
The Stress and Iskall Show is my favorite thing to watch every week. 😂
Every time I look at your town, I just see a bunch of houses that are trying to sing in a choir.
If it's a murder mystery village, maybe some of those row houses should have interconnecting secret passages
the murder mystry street is coming along so well and the colors used are so vibrant! i love it =)
Next to docks you could have a fishmarket. Instead of having the road do a L bend you could have a little square for other market stalls as well, possibly with a governmental building or church built at a 45 degree angle at the edge of the square. I assume you'd want a place to gather for the game, so that could be a good central location for that. You could also add a little smugglers den underneath the docks if you want to have a bit of fun with it.
Sewers is a possibility if that makes sense for the game design, or if you need more space for stuff for it.
The Chiswick Semi-detached Murders...can't wait!
Maybe add some stoops and different foundation levels for the cut houses? :3
This is what I would have wanted X and Zeds wool street to look like if this didnt exist
It actually kinda reminds of of the city in Batman:Gotham by Gaslight but colorful
Iskall just wants someone to do the settings on his pc so he has someone else to blame if it does not behave as it should^^
Very relateable❤
Stress with just few stacks of diamonds: i need to keep the economy going.
While other hermits keeping whole chest full of diamonds: i dont know if this will last me a month.
You can make the streetlamps better maybe by putting a slab on top of the froglight and replacing the bottom one or two blocks with a cauldron, a full block, or a full-block on top of a cauldron? Such a fun episode heheheh cx 💗💗💗
One thing I'm wondering about the Murder Mystery game's set (I've nicknamed the location 'Ripper' or just 'Rip'/'RIP' Street for...reasons) but I'm wondering if those little fenced trees you see in fancier neighborhoods would be "too much" looks wise. Iron Bars would be the thinnest footprint, and would still take up a 3x3 space unless you made an armor stand into a tall, thin tree that could fit the gap of the 2x2 square instead.
Just thinking the openness of the road could do with a little more 'life' despite being all about the opposite thematically. It'll be just fine without it, though. 😄
Iskall's "I'm Batman" was so funny omg
Gorgeous! All the houses are so cute! I especially like the 2 blue ones next to each other. Simply lovely.
Lovely project! Can't wait for the murder mystery!🎉
13:02 *Iskall:* You know this word? Inn. I, N, N, N.
Stress, you should contact Pearl cause you can deliver things via Pearl herself. Including delivering all the CATS and fish to Iskall!
Maybe blue lanterns for the streetlights?
Also have you ever seen the movie Dark City, I think a poster right at the end with a giant beach scene, but all worn might be a cool vibe.
The joy you radiate is just amazing. Thanks. I'll keep watching.
Guitar nerd here: you need a noise suppressor not a noise gate, the gate will "open and close" when you speak so while you're speaking, the fan will be audible but it will also sound choppy if the gate is not fast enough.
A noise suppressor will allow you to increase the threshold on your to a point where it just cuts out your fan and not your voice.
drop a bunch of uninhabited boats around and you could probably make a killing selling the cats to scar now that he has the mobs permit.
You should build a huge cat statue in front of Iskall’s base with the rear end of the cat right in front his door 😂😂
Really love the buildings. The texturing, everything is just perfect ❤
If you ever need an option to cancel noise and you are using an Nvidia GPU, the Nvidia Broadcast software works very well. Also, Iskall should know that if he just copies his user folder from the old PC and then puts it in his new user folder on the new PC, all his settings should copy over and his setup should be minimal.
The street is gorgeous! I love this season, a lot of hermits that were kinda inactive or dealing with life things last season are now the most active hermits.
This reminds me of “whats the story in balamory”!! took me forever to remember the name!
I'm crying 😂. It could be an inn. Yeah or an in and an out...
Your houses are sooooo cute! I love the street too, you're doing so fabulous with those and your shop!
Stress might i suggest you look up river drain bridges in regards to you street/river issue, they are small man made rivers that get over grown as they are left and i think it might work for that space.
next to the river, a village square or a place open , like a park, where you can sit and rest next to the water?
A small warehouse at the end attached to the dock would look nice
Stress, about the stret lamps... try replacing the last deepslate wall below the froglight for a hopper?
I think we need a new goat horn of Stress saying "I have to respectfully disagree" XD
The corner of the street, you could have a dark alleyway to include somehow in the game.
