Brian McClendon also left for the Buccaneers. Marvin Jones Jr. did not live up to the billing. He was also injured a lot. Mykel Williams is moving back outside, which is where he is best. Why we had him playing inside mostly last year I'll never understand. CJ Allen is an upgrade physically over Dumas-Johnson. That's why he looked to transfer.
    Great show Cole.

Any real Duck fan wouldn’t have a problem with your assessment. Big 10 is no joke, and we have come up short in a few big stages so far, but I love what Coach is doing, and the fire he has smoldering right now. He has been been head coach for 2 seasons, and 3 of his losses were to teams that went on to be undefeated, and to two coaches that are a total of 198 - 28 total. Tough way to get thrown into the fire, but he is learning everyday. Great show.

Thanks for your great analysis. As a Sooner fan, I feel really good about the upcoming season. I feel like the only question we have is at O-line and I’ve never had a season where I thought the O-line was the reason we lost games. Bedenbaugh makes chicken soup out of chicken s#^t continually. What I don’t understand from most SEC commentators is the belief that they extend towards Lanning and Sarkesian over Venables. Venables has coached in 8 of the last 24 national championship games winning 3. He’s had 3 straight top 10 recruiting classes and has the QB position set for the foreseeable future with 3 top Texas QB’s in the fold. As QBU, we know the state of Texas is where the best QB’s come from (half the starters in the NFL are from the state of Texas). We beat Texas last year and kicked their bottoms on both lines of scrimmage. Frankly it seems that most SEC commentators don’t realize that we have owned Texas, even though they have averaged better recruiting classes than us. Lanning seems like a good coach but his resume is very thin and he hasn’t won anything at Oregon. Just wondering.

Venebles hate probably comes from the fact that after he won that Texas game they celebrated huge then proceeded to lose to inferior teams like KU and OSU. The path to the Big 12 and a playoff berth was right there in front of them and they choked it away. Had a very soft schedule outside of playing Texas, which was a very good win, they definitely played their best ball in that game, showing that there is definitely potential. He has recruited well so i think they will be fine, however first year in the SEC having to replace an entire O-line makes for a potentially tough year, time will tell. Hook Em!

Ramble on over Georgia State. Not everyone thinks alike especially like this guy. Doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Just different. What happen happens. Just take it as it is and don’t fussy hussy about it. Man up and take it like a real man should. This is what it’s turning out to be until somebody takes control to gets some order to things.

Would be interested to hear what steps you think the mid tier sec teams need to take to shrink the gap between them and Georgia/alabama. I’m a Tennessee fan and would like to know what you think the Tennessee coaching staff is doing that is good and what they need to improve on; specifically do we have the right coaches in the right positions, recruiting, is Heupels system one that can get us into the top tier or is it more so a system that will be fun to watch and always have us competitive but will limit our chances to compete at the highest levels year in and year out

Cade Stover for OSU was not a good run blocker. Mike Hall last year for defense was their 3rd best interior lineman. The others are back. You mention OSU defense will take a step. Do you realize they were a top 3 defense with the top rated pass defense? All the CBs are back. They lost 1 safety replaced by Downs. All 4 starting lineman are back. The linebackers have 1 returning guy that played a lot. So essentially the top 3 defense returns and added Downs. The defense should be #1 in the country. Couple that with their improved offense.

Bama has the dudes at WR. They didn't have a QB to get them the ball . Hopefully, Bama moves on from the Milroe experiment and uses one of the three QB's on the roster. Any one of which will be a better choice

It is not allowed for both Georgia and Texas to be in the 1st tier. Since both cannot be Conference Champs. Which currently a rule for the 12 team playoffs. This disqualifies this Show

This OHIO ST. team Ryan Day has put together will be a bit scary ! -- All that is needed is 100% there. Knowles will work his genius and likely be a top 3 D. -- Kelly may produce the best Offense in the country with this group ? Hard for me not to see 40+ ppg. with their schedule. Howard running the ball occasionally will be all the difference & Chip knows how & when to do that for max effect ! -- Could be > National Champs (?) - if - things go right ?

Seth was the biggest problem on the OLine last year and you guys brought him there so your quarterback will have to chase the balls 30 feet behind him. He needed to be replaced last year at Bama and if there was another option he probably would have been replaced mid season. Lost his mojo
