I honestly don’t understand why the lots are so big, but there is only one house. In my opinion EA should have added 2 or 3 houses on one lot to spice things up. It would also just make more sense

Not at all. TS2 you could have multiple families living on the same lot, completely separate from each other. The roommate feature makes them part of them unable to be controlled, but part of the same household, shared bills... vastly different

I also hate it when the door of the bathroom goes directly to the kitchen, because where I live it is mandatory in every household to have at least two doors between a toilet and where you prepare food, due to hygiene reasons
I used to be friends with this girl when I was a kid and at her house the back door was in the parents’ room. Granted, she also had a side door so I guess it’s not that bad.

Challenge idea: take one of your “solid color houses” and renovate it by ONLY changing the swatches on the existing furniture so it becomes colorful

Idea for a challenge: each room of the house has a random time limit to decorate/furnish it
Which sounds like a good idea but then you get 8 seconds on kitchen and 30 minutes on bathroom

I really like this neighbourhood and its style but the lots are SO big it's impossible to build something that fits. Like filler houses are so tight against each other and then there's you with your enormous piece of land like you're some kind of millionaire?
What about a build challenge where you have a set amount of time (2-3mins) to "shop" for furniture/lights. Then, you have to build the shell and furnish the house with what you picked out, not being able to go back to purchase other items and needing to use everything you pulled out.

I would love to see more corkboard options and have the ability to put other things on them like photos and kids' drawings.
It would also be pretty cool if we could have something like the kids room string light photos but we can put our own photos on it instead.
I'm so mad that it's so hard to find good swatches in the sims 4. NOTHING EVER MATCHES! Every time I start a build I am so frustrated by the lack of matching swatches so builds always look a little off and I was so frustrated with Kayla that she couldn't find a good front door swatch. I wish we had the sims 3 swatches back, because then all the wood could match!!

I’ve renovated this lot before. It’s such a big lot I had to add a back house and then the story for the family who lives there developed and then I made them and then I needed to make their neighbors and then I started to make a save file. All because this lot is too big.
Me: what house is this? I don't recognize it at all. Is this even a real house in the game??
It's definitely the house my famous Sims live in. I just reno'd it so much that it's unrecognizable. 😂
A couch actually tends to be less performance intensive than a wall light lol

I have a pet peeve of doors not being placed the way they would naturally open (even though I play with all walls down). So for example in the kids room she made, I would have to flip that door so i would open toward the wall not toward the bed. I don't know if that makes sense or if anyone else does that, but I always loved everything about Kayla's builds except reckless door opening direction.

This is my favorite starter home in the game.Tried 100 baby challenge few times.First few time in different houses,after i started watching Kelsey Impicciche letsplay of 100 baby challenge(she started this challenge in that Inner Circle house,watched her 100 baby challenge since first episode).So it's my go to house for challenge and just for playing.

I’m so happy you are making another video renovating with EA’s restrictions. They are my favorite ones!
Actually the EA rule is not about how many objects there are but how many DIFFERENT objects. For example, you could have 30 plants but they should all be the same plant (that way slower computers only need to generate one item and multiply it)! I learned that on a video by the girl that did the ecolifestyle crane build for EA

I actually like this house, so easy to build on to and make a great house and yard, front and back, I always fence in the back yard completely
Kayla could have limited time, budget, and items and she'd still make a better looking house then i ever could
I feel like EA builds the way they do because they want gamers to go to the house and feel like they could do better, and then DO better. Makes us feel good.

i listed every item in all the ea starter homes i have (11) , to begin looking for real restriction rules. so far- they all have between 39-72 objects (including windows doors and landscape) and almost all of them have toilet paper as their only decor item.... so great start...

Am I the only one who doesn't watch Sims videos for months but keeps following Kayla and then suddenly bingewatches everything at once, plays the Sims for like 4 hours at a time and such?
If you’re doing EA restrictions then, and this is kind of cruel, you should only be using items from base game and whatever pack that world is from. Everything is always made so you don’t need other packs for it to work so you should not be using items from other packs in order to replicate the challenge EA faces.
