To be fair they haven’t added anything that took away from the product this year. Pulsars we’re added last year and this year they actually added trophy autographs which are a nice new chase. With curry and other big names on the checklist. So I think it’s a little better then last year but regular prizm hobby is brutal and price is crazy
Singles all the way. You should do a video where you compare the hits from a box of Prizm vs the haul of spending what the box costs on singles from the set. Would be eye opening how bad boxes are

Oof. I didn't buy Football Prizm hobby because $650 was a ridiculous price. The Basketball Prizm has far less value and came out at the same price or higher. Just nuts. At least in football there's 1/1 Black chasers. Neither of these boxes and most, if not all, other hobby boxes should be more than $225-$250. I sure hope a breaking point exists and hobbyists reset the market back into sanity using our wallets. It was sad to watch but thanks for the content man.

You know it's bad when you are already defeated before you open the box. Still don't know if I would be happy paying $300. This is a low 2's product, but breakers will always keep this stuff bubbling above 6/7.
Paolo, Jabrari Smith, Mathurin are the main guys. I've been loading up on Jabrari Smith's cause I think he'll have the most All-star nods when the fat lady eventually sings. If Smith can have an AD type of career, this is a win on the investment in the long run.

@@user-wm3gf6qc4x I have 30 Chet rookies. I offloaded my L.Ball (hornets) cards and flipped them for Chet rookies, numbered rpos, and numbered cards. Hoping he has a huge year. I'll flip those next year for whomever is undervalued. From what I saw in summer league, Chet was very dominant. I think he's a 10 year perennial all-star when healthy. His value might over inflate on his rookie cards when demand gets high after an all-star game or two.
I opened a FOTL for my channel and man I got obliterated as well. But man going into these things, I've already conditioned myself that $850 is just an expense for a first look/review and not expect any returns.

Rough box, should have bought one off backyard breaks. Can’t base a product off of one box, it’s a very high risk/high reward product. Would you be saying it’s so bad had you pulled a color top rookie? Prices are stupid high right now, Walker Kessler orange /49 is at $455 ending tonight. Doesn’t take a gold anything to break even but it is tough if you’re getting your own box. Ceiling is why you buy this, not floor. Maybe explaining that better would actually help the people watching to understand the price point. Not justify, but understand.
I think it's all over priced.Ypu whiffed on most of the 20 plus chances on Prizm. But on the Contenders you get two autos and a couple numbered cards which still don't have much value.

Someone has to open the 1/1s and so on. I bought a $130 box of hoops and opened a /10 lebron hoopla and an Antman hot signature. With that box, at least you have reasonable potential value. Some of these boxes are bloated with BS. This happens to be one of them.

I messed up and bought this hobby box for $700 including tax and it was garbage. Just ordered the FOTL from a reseller for $1075. Heard those are better this year. Hope that one has some hits 🙏🏼

@@lawcane you were right. Just opened it. Screw Prizm. Never buying it ever again. My two FOTL signatures were non-numbered Willie Green and Pau Gasol. I got a blue Prizm Johnny Davis rookie and it has a line in the middle of it. So between the hobby and FOTL boxes I spent $1700 and got back probably a couple hundred in cards. 😐🤬

Panini Elite is probably best value box out of the rest. 2 autos, short auto checklist with rookies + stars & lots of on card autos. Literally saw someone pull a Curry GenreGraph on the second break I participated in. The dude paid $40 for the GSW spot and got that on card Curry auto going for 2 grand.

As I've discovering painfully it's becoming increasingly much much better just to buy the singles. personally, I love the rookie contenders bought a box and got basically nothing spent 120 bucks and I got eight autographs, including two of the players I was hunting.
