- Trailing shoe manure injector demo. How to keep the little boots from plugging up with manure solids. Eric Hoover's experience is the trailing shoe is for separated manure only. The rubber boots are so small. They also are made for low flow rates, not 3000gpm.

We use a similar disc injector on our tank, the key to a good flow is that the hole in the distributor is smaller than the hoses. Ours has 2" hoses and 1.5" holes in the distributor. Anything larger will be chopped up
Out of curiosity, what is an average flow rate for you and how many gal do you spread on arable land and grassland?
Because for us the high driving speed is the limiting factor rather than the hoses
a.Around 2 to 3K gallons a minute is typical..
b. You correct going fast when wanting to put on less per acre.
Either drive fast or have a really wide machine. You can call Eric 610 468 9666 if you have ideas for it. We make these videos as part of our own learning .
With a 3k gallon flow you would have to cover almost an acre every minute to meet German law.
Ah, that makes sense why the European draglines are sized smaller. We think 9K our Pennsylvania gallon acre restriction is bad. Were there is no restriction they do 20K gal acre
Great video. Very informative! Thanks for posting.
Glad it was helpful!
