- Hey everyone!! There were a lot of questions on my last video and a lot of you seemed really confused as to what I was doing and what my current living situation is, among other things. In this video, I'm going to address some of those questions and hopefully clear a lot of that up for you! I hope you enjoy 😊

Don't get overwhelmed Marlow. Take it slow and easy and it will still get done. I was in your position a long time ago after my husband passed. I found that by taking one room at a time vs trying to do a little in each room all the time you would be much more satisfied. Example: I took the top rooms to start in that I spent the most time in. Kitchen first, then the bedroom. I didn't do anything else until those rooms were complete. Then I moved to the next, then the next. I was so much more satisfied and less frustrated doing it that way. You don't have to explain things to us unless you feel comfortable doing so. Watching you grow and become your own person in your new home will be fun to watch as most of us old timers have been there, done that.

Take it one day at a time and one project at a time. I know you deal with PTSD, anxiety and depression. Then you add grief and sadness to loss on top its hard. I know. I recently lost my momma and before my mom my youngest son passed away. Death has been a constant visitor in my life. I have lost four sons, my husband of thirty eight years, my daddy and now my momma. I have about 200 boxes of things to go through which belonged to my sons, my parents and some of my husbands things. I opened up one box today and I found two letters my Scott had written to me. Tears flowed and I had a major anxiety attack to the point my friend insisted I go to the ER. I have to say the ER staff treated me wonderful. Its a struggle but tomorrow is another day. One box or bin at a time. I also found letters my parents wrote to each other while dating and then when my daddy was in the Korean War.
So sweet Marlow one thing at a time. Maybe a small project that you can accomplish fairly easily so it gives you the I did it moment. I believe in you. You got this!!

Marlowe you don’t owe any explanation as to your life or any details about it sweetie. It should be common knowledge that if you don’t speak about certain topics then it’s obvious you have your personal reasons for that.
Renovating older houses can become very overwhelming at times… I’ve done this several times in my lifetime and it’s also some of the hardest yet most rewarding work you’ll ever do. I promise you 1 million % that when you’re finished it will be sooooo worthwhile!!! Doing it yourself rather than hire contractors gives it such a personal pride and fulfillment!! There’s also certain jobs that are 100% contractor jobs so don’t be afraid to ask for help when it’s needed.

I moved into my family home after the death of my parents and a divorce. I get “it”. It’s such a roller coaster words can’t describe. You got this girl 👊🏻💪🏼🤟🏻

When you grieve a loss it’s up to you and you alone to decide if and when you want to talk about it.
The 15th of March I lost my precious almost 15 year old Shih Tzu, Bitsy, and I still cry at the drop of a hat. It feels like I lost a family member so it’s painful to talk about it. I will grieve her loss until my heart begins to heal as you will your lovely Mama Jo.

Take one room at a time. Don't look at the wholeeeee thing. It becomes overwhelming. One corner, one room at a time. Whether it's cleaning out or putting back together. 💖
