Do either one of you see a therapist? If not may I suggest that you each get a job that you must leave the house everyday. It seems to me that you are not getting out of your environment. I am not saying this to be ugly. I have had chronic depression for many years. ((I am 76). If I stay at home and dont interact with other people it gets worse. The problems you guys are describing are not unusual. It seems to me you guys are dwelling on it too much.
I would imagine that Marlo leaves the house almost every day to help care for Jess. I think they are just talking about stress in general… Not that they deal with it every single day.
@@sherrieh2062 yes she leaves her house but goes to another house where there is the same issues with someone who goes thru the same the things as her 🤔 hope they can both figure it out
@@jackiekaras8722 That doesn’t mean it’s, necessarily, unhealthy. It’s, actually, better to have someone who understands, so they can support each other through this.
I love written lists! They work for me too.. much better than typing it in my phone 😊❤️.. thanks for sharing, always a good topic to discuss and sharing what works for you ❤️
My daughter who suffers from anxiety and depression, just gets paralyzed sometimes to get anything accomplished. Her most productive times are at night. She says she likes the quietness and can think better. I saw this quote that said “you might look at me and think I’m a lazy person, but just know, it took all my energy to just survive today”!
I’m a night person too. Always have been. It may seem lazy to some, but that’s when I get the most done, sometimes, because everyone’s in bed and I can do my own thing. As long as it gets done, is my motto! ☺️
Yes! That’s so relatable. I’ve also heard, you can tell when something isn’t quite right and you’re not being productive vs being lazy. If you were just being lazy, you would be having a good time. But you’re not having a good time, you’re stressing lol -M
Dang you girls depressed me bad 😂 I am ADHD and I promise you now if you get up and just move you will have lots of better days. You rest at night girls!! Sure sometimes we have bad nights, and don’t sleep!! But you still get up to do something. If I get stressed Over something, I do do do, don’t stop! Cause I flat refuse to let it get me down. You’re so young, shew,,, I have a challenged son, so resting in bed all day is definitely out of the question. I wouldn’t want to even if I could to be honest! And Hannah you choose to live with a house full. 🤷♀️ I don’t know girls, this video has rattled me big time 😂. No offense please,,,just my opinions here.
I have ADHD too and just getting up and moving doesn't magically make things go away. The girls are often doing things and go camping almost every weekend. All these things may work great for you it's important to remember everyone is different. Anxiety and depression is not rational nor does it have an age limit.
There’s no age for stress. I work in an elementary school … many young children deal with significant stress in their daily lives. I’ll take boredom over stress every day, all day. Stress literally kills people … boredom doesn’t.
Truth is … you ask for a rebuttal simply by participating on social media. 🤷🏼♀️ I’m a grandma as well, and teach my grandchildren that mental health issues are real and not to be ignored or diminished.
As someone who was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in 2010, it is so nice to hear other people’s stories like y’all’s that makes me realize I’m not alone. Thanks for sharing! ❤
I relate to both of your struggles with productivity and being kind to yourself. I think a lot of people could do with being kinder to each other in general, and more humble and understanding. It's exhausting when people want to tell you how you ought to feel about something. I don't understand why they'll have opinions on someone's life, struggles and abilities when they don't know enough about it, and preach instead of listening. Having someone to talk to who gets it is invaluable, so it's great that you have each other! And thank you for sharing.
I don’t have depression but do have chronic fatigue due to other health issues. I can totally relate to being most productive in the mornings. I get up and get busy fairly early every day because by noon, I’m not going to have the energy to do anything besides sit and read or watch something. I even eat my biggest meal of the day for lunch or start cooking dinner by then because I don’t have the energy to do it later.
So many people (including myself) can relate so well to this. Depression and anxiety can be isolating, so others sharing their struggle make you feel less alone. Great video!
I, totally, get this! I suffer from panic disorder, anxiety, depression, OCD, insomnia, etc. I, finally, found the right combination of meds, about 18 years ago. My best friend and I also have the same diagnosis’s, but diagnosed several years apart. It helps, tremendously, to have someone else who understands, but we can also feed off each other in unhealthy ways, at times. So, we try to take breaks if something triggers the other. I have what I call a Procrastinator/Perfectionist personality. I procrastinate like nobody’s business, but when I get the motivation/energy to do what I need to, I do it all, and I do it right. Which usually takes all day, then I’m exhausted, hence, the procrastination the next time. 🤦🏼♀️😂 I also get distracted like Marlow, and get cleaning ADHD. I try not to let that take over, and go back to my original task. Then move on to the next big thing. In my mind, there’s no right or wrong way to do things, as long as you get them done. It may take me longer some days or weeks, but I do them. I celebrate the small thing’s I do get accomplished and I try to be kind to myself on the bad days too. Typically, the majority of people with anxiety are perfectionists, loving, kind, empathetic, creative, and put others first, which is why we worry about EVERYTHING. It’s no wonder we recluse when we’re peopled out or need extra time to recoup. It makes us who we are, and most of those attributes are something to be cherished. We can’t let our mental health define us, but we also need to find balance and keep working on better coping skills. Try not to take the negative comments to heart, because, unless, they have an anxiety disorder, they will NEVER understand, until/unless it happens to them, no matter how hard they try. Much love and understanding! 🫶🏼
I try not to be too hard on myself. Everyone is different. My mom always loved to clean and kept an immaculate house and also worked. But although she cooked sometimes, she hated cooking. Im the opposite, i hate cleaning (I do it though, just not like she did) but i enjoy cooking 😋. AND I work alot. So when i take chill days i consider it self care.
These things you are saying l have suffered with from when I was around 23 years old… I’m now 66 .. but back then I just had to fumble through with 2 kids .. over the years I’ve had to just get through .. ( I didn’t have a phone or google ) now I know I have ocd . Etc etc .. . My advice for you girls is don’t over think … just bloody do it .. I’ve been on antidepressants for a lot of years .. are you girls on any medication ?read a book before bed ( a novel that you want to keep reading ) until you get get so tired the book falls from your hands and you sleep a good sleep ❤ .
Brava ladies. Very relatable. My biggest (admittedly small) victory has been to force myself to get up early (5 AM!). And the only rule is that I can’t be horizontal for the first 60 minutes and no screens. Don’t knock til ya try it 😊
Thanks for sharing that was very interesting. I love the way you both coordinate your clothes by color and sleeve length. I never do that. I just hang them up on the hanger lol have a great memorial day weekend.😊

All the younger generations these days LOVES that quote! Lol

Meditate. You gals are too young to be so stressed. It's nice to be busy. Wait until you're my age and the boredom is way worse.

Anxiety disorders are much more complex, than just being stressed. If only it were that simple.
Stress, anxiety, depression etc have nothing to do with age...
Seems there are a few experts in this thread! I didn't ask for rebuttals. Can't a grandma just give her thoughts. I mean, I am older and wiser! 😂

Yes!! I can’t imagine where I would be if I didn’t have the support system that I do. Like you said, people that understand is invaluable! -M
Good coping skills. Always be kind to yourself.
