I genuinely think that apart of the Wanda childa thing is that fig is so bored without her girlfriend that she's just pschycologically fucking with this guy
I mean if sophomore year proved anything it’s that fig is the gold-standard “absolutely feral and psychotic high schooler” on her own and she needs her emotional support half-phoenix girlfriend to keep her domesticated
If they ever made this into a show like Vox Machina, the scene of Fig and Gorgug dimension dooring and the Fig letting go and Fabian throwing the battle sheet to catch her would go so unbelievably hard

Someone I know has a patch that says "Not all who wander are lost" and I always read it as "not all who Wanda are lost".

I was about to comment this! I couldn't remember if Brennan actually said Reuben's last name in the previous episodes or if we as the audience just saw it with his character art. But he sure says it clear right here

Tbf, this kind of thing is basically 'tuesday' for her (a la the Bison quote; "...but for me, it was tuesday.").
With it all being part of Fig's crippling identity issues. It is one of the pretty morally conpromising things about her... But, you know, her dad is a demon.

ayda is very aware of fig’s disguise self schemes so i doubt she’d be bothered lol
I would like to believe that Ayda is not so clingy/possessive, as well be able to tell what's real and what's not, that she could tell what's what.
i agree with the comments above but yeah i also feel a bit weird with how far this particular disguise has gone. most of her others have been one off occurrences and/or necessary to some extent, this time it feels a little too involved and personal to not feel like... overstepping in some kind of way.
I think for it to be cheating, Fig would have to be even remotely attracted to him- this is more like psychological warfare.
@@jensencaldwell5101while i get that impression as well it feels also quite necessary. With all the weird tension and oddities between the Bad Kids and the Rat Grinders, it seems like a good way to gain information while keeping things amicable. If they are evil then later after planting these inception-esque schemes Fig and crew can gain a lot of information. But if they are good or at least not truly evil and just like rivals, then Wanda can just not be brought up again. If they are rivals that heartbreak could make Rueben stronger or make them less of a threat, and if they are good then maybe it’ll be good inspiration for his songs. Although it sounds harsh, they already don’t like the dude so in all options it wont hurt their school life. This seems necessary and clever to me. Doesn’t shake the feeling that its still a little weird for a multitude of reasons, Ayda for one example.
