I don't think people realize how serious valley fever is. A friend got it and the spores lodged in his lungs, it spread systemically to his muscles and joints. He was hospitalized for a month, almost died because Drs. don't know much about it. With medication everyday for life, it's under control but it stays dormant in your lungs. He has good and bad days with it. Also, I believe schooliepalooza is at scaddan wash Feb 7-14 this year. Thanks Tom and Zen!
I'm in Lake Havasu right now in a canyon behind a hill to block the wind, so I haven't seen as much dust as there is in Tom's video. Just waiting till it calms down before heading down there. Staying indoors is a good idea especially if you have respiratory issues.@@a_bus_and_a_pyr
Sounds like your leaning towards the minimalist life style......I try to do the same. No credit cards needed. Very peaceful there, thanks for the update. 👍
Thanks for another great video. I like your down to earth, relatable style and I love your dog who has a twin in my house. If trump changes his mind about invading Canada I would like to take my Prevost down there one day and hang out.
I'll be bringing an electric bike with me. I'm feeling a little ambivalent about it. It's big, and maybe a small dirt bike would be more versatile. I'll probably go with what I got. Thanks for the update.
@@seanwilson6521 there are e bikes out here everywhere, small ones and big ones, most of them I see stay on the roads since the sand and gravel can get deep in the desert
Have to admit Tom I could not cope with all the dust. You said in an earlier video if you don’t cope with dust quartzsite is not for you. So different from Utah camp. Does the dust erode things on the bus? Do you have to do more maintenance? I ask this because somewhere I read people don’t realise the damage that environment can do? How are the plants growing from Utah. Quartzsite seems a really harsh place to camp. I bet zen your coat must get dusty.
@@Rescueluv it doesn’t show on camera but Zen has a brown tint to his fur fur the sand and dirt. The sand is not bad on the bus especially if the engine is not running to pull it into the air filter but maintenance is crucial. Utah trees are still growing and getting taller each week.
I've heard some of the seasoned camper's that go there every year. Say Q is a giant catbox, lol😁 They say every rock and bush has been pee'd on. They think that causes valley fever. Idk?
it's all about the money, helps you pay little rent else ...do you owe a home base not the bus? those emergency expenses you cannot budget for...so besides lil rent you save on heating expenses and cold / flu medicines
Gotta mask up in that dust! Valley Fever weather, puppers to
Tom- Just get one of those folding wagons, and maybe you can hook it to the back of the E-bike for ZEN
Thanks Tom annnd Zen 😁✌️

Thank You and Zen for the Great Video. Stay Safe, keep posting and I'll keep watching 🙏👍🐕🦺🇺🇲

Valley Fever killed our neighbor so for some people it can be fatal. Love that Zen !
Hi Tom and Zen, We have had winds in So Cal too. Sad about the fires. Ya not much of a raise and Medicare took a chunk of it.
