I know some people don't approve of Shanice Williams playing Dorothy..and some truly torn up by it. But again do know that nobody approved Diana Ross to play the part, critics shunned it, the original director left because of it they were originally going to choose Stephanie Mills as Dorothy though she was only 21 she could still play a child but sense Diana begging for the part they had to change the script so don't be mad at Shanice for looking older than 18..again like some people...but also remeber Diana wasn't always a favorite. So I appluad Shanice for a wonderful performance and no shade to Diana I love her but it was just bad casting.
DriveAustra I'm talking about how nobody approved of Diana playing Dorothy and how the originally wanted Stephanie Mills to play Dorothy sense she played Dorothy in the original musical in 1975 but it seems Diana Ross wanted to be Dorothy and seeing how Berry Gordy was helping produce the movie with his company she got the part but critics and audiences just didn't like Ross as Dorothy. That's what I'm talking about

Well that’s like a 100 years old. The wiz is still pretty recent. Diana Ross is the only one still here.
