@@gamingph3412 I mean... Can they even do that? Considering what happens *right after* the High-End fight? It would be strange to have a filler recap and only then go back to that
As the child of an abusive parent I know exactly how Todoroki feels..... All your life you’ve had this resentment toward your mom/dad... “Why did you bring me into this world if your just going to abuse me? Neglect me? Hurt me and my family and then suddenly decided you want to change?” My mom left me in the care of my grandparents over half my life, and when she came back and tried to do better I didn’t want to accept that, It’s hard to admit but I hated her, but she kept trying (Just like Endeavor) to face her past and atone for what she did and eventually I (Just like Shoto) opened up and decided to give her a chance and we now have a healthy/loving relationship and her grandson is a big part of her life which some people don’t have.... And that’s why Endeavor is one of the best characters in MHA.... because he is indeed a Hero! (As you just witnessed) But he isn’t perfect, he’s made mistakes, has regrets and (Just like all of us) is trying to change and be a better person than he was....and that’s just awesome 👏👏👏👏
Cordel S. Glad to hear you and your mom were able to build a healthy relationship despite all the misfortune and past mistakes, let’s hope the same can happen between Endeavor, Shoto, and the rest of the family.
I'm so moved by your comment, so even tho it's a year late, I'm just gonna respond anyways. My parents were a bit abusive (as they were pretty strict and hot-tempered, almost like Endeavor) and as I kid I thought I could never forgive them, ever. But as I grew up I could see things I couldn't when I was younger, and realized that they still loved me through all that. They even softened up A LOT and apologized as the years went by. (which I greatly appreciate cuz once ur an adult and have chosen to think that something is right I know changing the way you think is hard) Right now, I love my family more than anything and we have a healthy relationship going on. I'm not particularly a big fan of this anime (I watch it for Imon and Abbie's reactions) but I have to say that when I watched this episode, it shook me to the core cuz of the similarities that I could find in my family and the Todoroki household. (before that, I thought Todoroki's story was just another plain domestic abuse story that every other anime has) And this is why I have to agree and say that Endeavor is one of the best characters in MHA, maybe even anime in general. People make mistakes, and even though the past cannot be changed, the present and future can be changed. Btw, you are such a strong person. I believe you went through so much more than I did. Thank for sharing your story, bless you.
This comment is everything that needs to be summed up in one take. Endeavour isn't perfect. He's never claimed to be, and he understands his faults more than anyone else. He can't change the past, but he can continue to move forward. And sometimes that's all you can do
This might be the start of Endeavor's redemption story, but I can already start talking about why he's one of my favorite characters in the series. All Might was basically a god in this world. He was a monolithic figure of strength and justice. Endeavor isn't that. He's no symbol of peace. He has no sacred torch passed on to him. He's just a guy. He's just a man in a suit. He's mortal. He's flawed. He's seen some shit. He's done some shit. And he still has a lot to pay for. But he's also the one out there fighting for all of us. And he's doing it in a world where God is dead. WIth no one else to take his place.
My favourite scene was when the kid basically said stfu and look and you saw the flames coming from the building. Also like how the writers indicated with this episode how big the gap is between all might and other heroes which means if there wasn't someone seeking to reach all might's level like endeavour then this noumu would've killed everyone in that city including hawks and endeavour
He obviously couldn't have killed Endeavor. Endeavor isn't Endeavor if he isn't seeking to Reach All Might's level which means by your logic the nomu wouldn't have killed them all with Hawks and Endeavor since there is a guy among them Who's been seeking to Reach All Might's level. _That guy being Endeavor._
Did y'all catch the metaphor of this whole battle? He fought against a warped twisted being who sacrificed everything for more power, lit up like a phoenix, and he burned away the version of what he Could've become and rose out of it like a Phoenix. ;)
@@madmoxxi7397 You wouldn't believe the amount of people who don't understand the concept of Metaphors until it's shoved up their ass and comes of their mouths.
What I wanted to point out was remember the times when fans were sending death threats to Horikoshi about Endeavour having a redemption arc? It was around this time in the manga around second half of season 3(?)
The best part is, the next episodes after this will address his redemption even further. He is endeavoring to be better, but it does not guarantee him forgiveness, that is the key part. It’s not the end of his redemption, but his start

In my opinion it is smarter than that nomu & has lots of ability especially regeneration....but S1 nomu matched with almight speed & power he had to go beyond 100% to knock it off yet he survived...but high-end was matched with hawks speed & slightly powerful than endeavour...we clearly know the gap b/w almight & other heroes...
This one is overall more fit to fight in any circumstances but the one in season 1 is tailor made for All Might. I think All Might would have defeated this Nomu too if he still has his S1 Power.
Not a manga reader. This was explained in S2 I believe. AFO - All For One (the villain) thought his brother didn't have a quirk and saw him as weak and fragile (which he was) the guy kneeling down on the floor. So AFO gave his younger brother a quirk that stockpiles power which came back to bite him as I mentioned earlier that the younger brother had a quirk and it was a quirk that allows him to transfer quirks, which led to the creation of One For All.
@@HolyShitItsHim1 AFO is pretty greedy and powerhungry, so my guess is he wanted a power "bank" to collect interest, which then he could withdraw later on.
When this part and some of the other Endeavor stuff that happens right after, came out in the manga, the creator Kōhei Horikoshi, got huge numbers of death threats, especially from the U.S. because having Endeavor try to redeem himself was supposedly endorsing abuse.
@@thejediofuspartii538 Of course abuse is a horrible thing, but to claim that someone that was abusive can never change and try to redeem themselves is insanely simple minded and reeks of a half witted puritanical extremist.

The oldest sibling in the Todoroki family is Touya, but since he isn’t around anymore Fuyumis the oldest, Natsuo is the middle child and Shouto is the youngest
that high end noumu was just like endeavour in reality. remember noumus are made by human beings. endeavour killed the high end, the person who was similar to endeavour. obsess with power, quirks. honestly, its sad that highend noumu died cause he is exactly like endeavour :/. and when he said "thats why i created..." endeavour s quirk had a heat problem thats why he used his family. "thats why i created...them" what he meant. and yeah, All For One's brother is really looks like Shigaraki cause they are intentionally meant be compared. They both are prisoner of All For One after all. AFo tried to control them.

Endeavour only changed once Touya’s quirk activated and he had stronger flames then even Endeavour had.

@@TheUltimatum10 yeah and Endeavor reflected on it and his past and changed in this episode. He wants to try to make amends for what hes done. Hawks even mentioned noticing a change in Endeavor during the fight.
@@Sol-hd7pz And the fact that he was basically the only person who seriously considered it being Possible to surpass him. To everyone else, All Might was a paragon. A symbol. To Endeavor, he was a goal line to cross.

After rewatch #50000, I strongly think Hawks allowed himself to get hit by the nomu. As he was playing support, he was slowly sending away as many feathers as he could to amp up Endeavour while staying just fast enough to dodge Nomu's attacks. In the end miscalculated slightly. Epic teamwork.
Even if he does feel remorse for his actions Its impossible for me to respect him knowing what he did. I like he is trying to be a better person. Now we understand why endeavor was rough with shouto, back in season one he mentioned something about quirks marriage, since he knows having a fire quirk makes you vurnedable , he ended up being with their mom which has the ice quirk, after all the experiments they tried shouto cane out having the ice quirk which makes him the perfect combination. Now he can use the fire at full power without overheating and same with the ice as well .
not gonna spoil, but this was hinted at when all might was revealed to have considered todoroki for one for all. bc one for all is the "Power to store power" it means that the previous one for all users, could have passed down their quirks, meaning that deku could have awakened a new one.
Something yall probably missed and what alot of people missed is that the high end nomu was sort of a symbolic win for endeavor bc he saw himself in the nomu bc of how the nomu was in wanting more strength and power and being warped and twisted/evil bc he saw that is who he was and could've become worse if he didn't change . Him killing the nomu was his way of putting his past to rest and finally moving forward to become a better hero/father/husband and a better man in general.
20% the anime didn't have any for any reason (i'm assuming that season 5 is gonna start with a more in depth flash back of the dream) but the scene in the manga is filled with exposition and he has a short convo with OFA who states "you can currently only handle 20% of the information rn"
Can't believe I watched all your MHA reactions (what was still available anyway) in like 5 days lol. I love how into the series you two are. And the various running gags (not trusting Cementoss, "Justin", etc.) kill me lmao. Subbed :D
When she said "he is like a Phoenix" I really started thinking on how Endeavor is trying to face his old self. He is trying to get better, so he is a phoenix out of the ashes into his new life a better hero and a better person. He wants to be the dad that he never was.
Its SO cool how the hero’s think so well together. Endeavor cutting the building into tiny pieces so it wont fall on everyone, while also attacking the nomu, and Hawks catching all the pieces to lower collateral damage. They show the obvious gab between pros and our wonderful students.
Also side note: Endeavor's weakness is his own flames. As we saw it over heats his body and starts to shut down his body. This was evident in season 2 with Shoto when he refused to use his fire side against Deku... Shoto body temperature kept lowering freezing his body. With Endeavor's ambition and his own weakness he sought out Rei and made 4 kids... Shoto being the only one with both Ice and Fire quirk. But after All Might's retirement... he realized he was going down the wrong path. About Midoriya.... go back to season 2 and remember that match with Shinshou vs Deku. To refresh.... All For One's brother was assume to be quirkless. AFO forced a stockpile quirk onto his brother which mutated with his brother quirk to become One For All. All For One is NOT related to Nana Shimura by blood... but that's all I can tell you... wait for the villian arc for more details. Now that's High End nomu... High End Nomu's are in a different class from the Low End models from previous seasons. High Ends are not only stronger... but can talk and think. That's all I can tell you because more info will come later on.
@@maroo747 bokunoheroacademia.fandom.com/wiki/One_For_All Really don't like using Wiki but this info here also tells that All For One forced Stockpile quirk was forced upon his brother who was thought to be quirkless but had a quirk that does nothing but passes on his quirk to another.

I remember like a year ago when you guys talked about people coming after Horikoshi for redeeming Endeavour and these last two episodes were when it was happening
One thing I found interesting about this fight is how all mights fight against AFO there was a helicopter providing a more “cinematic view” of the fight while Endeavor’s fight didn’t have the same view to the people in the show. His fight was just a news reporter and a camera man on the ground showing that endeavors turn as number one hero is going to be a lot different than all mights
I'm proud of him for doing his hardest burning away his past self, proving he can be a hero his son can be proud of and attempting to repair the damage he did years ago
I'm really liking this redemption arc for Endeavor. Especially during the fight with the nomu at the end when he was commenting on the similarities between his life and this new nomu, obsessed with being the strongest, created to have multiple quirks. Almost like his first big step in becoming a better person was to defeat himself
Idk if it was intentional but when Hawk's was falling while talking about his back being small. He was looking at Endevoir's back which blazed like a summer sun. It reminds me of Icarus who's wings melted when he flew too close to the sun and fell back to earth. In that scene his feathers were being burned away to push Endevoir forward and thus he was falling back to earth. Through out we find that Hawk's was inspired and aspired to be a hero like Endevoir but he also kept speaking as though he could not be the one to make others feel safe. In a way, his story was of someone who wanted to reach the sun but found himself falling short. In a way it sets up Endevoir, not as a god whom none can reach like All Might, but a sun so bright it comforts those from a distance, and punishes those who stray too close. I think it's fitting, the man who tried to surpass god and failed, became the sun for others to see and feel safe.
I dunno why but when I was watching the episode, I never thought Endeavor was gonna die even once. Not a single thing he did registered as an “I’m gonna take us both down together” attack. I couldn’t tell you why.
I think it was all the bad omens? The flower petal falling, Shoto's left side activating without him intending it to, or the fact that when he got stabbed All Might grabbed his wound (bc of phantom pain I imagine, but the image it creates is quite ominous). Endeavour's actions really didn't seem like a self sacrifice to me either, but the outside factors did for a bit, then I realised it wouldn't be a very good decision on the writing side and convinced myself he wasn't gonna die lol.
So, this redemption arc (I fucking love redemption arcs) has been in the works since Kamino. Watching All-Might's final fight, seeing All For One in action, there was actually a point where he said "what did I do all this for?!" directly referencing the things he did to his family and his overall obsession with strength. Then, you look at the conversation Endeavor had with All-Might about "what it means to be a symbol" and you see he's finally starting to see things differently, especially when he tells Shoto "i'll become a man you can be proud of". This new costume (in case you didn't notice) and his "just watch me" statement are his way of showing the world (and his family) he'll be doing things differently
I gotta say, while I still really hate Endeavor, especially in retrospect, I gotta say, this was a well-deserved win on his part. It was also a well-deserved scar, but that’s a whole other can of worms 😅
Yall are in for a rollercoaster with the continuation of the pro hero arc and the next 2 arcs that will be in season 5 and that dream is just the start.
I'm going to be frank... the picture with Hawks in the end credit.... I never seen in the manga. However it's important now in the current arc in the manga.
I can tell my girl with the dreads really had a hard time trying to convince herself to have some kind of empathy knowing Endevors past but also knowing that he was willing to change, this was so great to see.
This episode was very much like the Superman vs Doomsday in the comics, a crazy strong creature obsessed in killing the strongest thing it finds against the overpowered number one hero, even the end of him falling with the Nomu, was the same way the Doomsday fight ended, I love this so much!!!
That regenaration connection about overhaul was good, i didn't actually think about it and mr. Compress did indeed take one of overhaul's arm so maybe they did fuse it with the nomu some how. Good prediction if it turns out to be true.
You guys were freaking out over this scene so I’m not sure if you guys caught it but when Endeavor said “Bioengineered human, you are me....from the past or another future. Burn up....and be put to rest”. It was Endeavor talking to himself and pretty much getting rid of his past self, burning up his power obsessive self and starting anew.
A lot of people are saying this is Endeavor's redemption arc, but personally, I feel that this is more atonement than it is redemption. Lots of stuff he has done cannot be redeemed by mere actions or heroism but he is trying to atone for them and this atonement depends on the reaction and acceptance of his family members and that is what is important to take note of. PS I read the manga and I am very pleased with how this pans out eventually. I think the decision Endeavor comes to make is a sad but necessary one

I’ve heard that the network that it airs on has them contractually obligated to do a recap.
As the child of an abusive parent I know exactly how Todoroki feels.....
All your life you’ve had this resentment toward your mom/dad...
“Why did you bring me into this world if your just going to abuse me? Neglect me? Hurt me and my family and then suddenly decided you want to change?”
My mom left me in the care of my grandparents over half my life, and when she came back and tried to do better I didn’t want to accept that, It’s hard to admit but I hated her, but she kept trying (Just like Endeavor) to face her past and atone for what she did and eventually I (Just like Shoto) opened up and decided to give her a chance and we now have a healthy/loving relationship and her grandson is a big part of her life which some people don’t have....
You, my friend, are one of the emotionally strongest people I have ever seen
INCREDIBLE INTAKE INDEED!!!!
WIth no one else to take his place.
my God, you made the story so poetic. almost like a greek legend or something. you should be a writer dude lol
That also explains the name of his theme
JUST ANOTHER HERO
CorrectO
Damn that's deep😩
And he did it all through hard work and mastering his quirk, not by being given a special quirk-he’s like Bakugou or even Mirio in a way.
11:26 probably one of the most satisfying reactions i've ever seen
true!
Such a good moment for Endeavor 🔥🔥🔥
My favourite scene was when the kid basically said stfu and look and you saw the flames coming from the building. Also like how the writers indicated with this episode how big the gap is between all might and other heroes which means if there wasn't someone seeking to reach all might's level like endeavour then this noumu would've killed everyone in that city including hawks and endeavour
lee facts that news lady was quick to judge that fight hell I would say the same thing if that was my favorite hero

What I wanted to point out was remember the times when fans were sending death threats to Horikoshi about Endeavour having a redemption arc? It was around this time in the manga around second half of season 3(?)
I have been wondering about that, thanks!
The best part is, the next episodes after this will address his redemption even further. He is endeavoring to be better, but it does not guarantee him forgiveness, that is the key part. It’s not the end of his redemption, but his start

this nomu is stronger than the one all might fought in season 1
In my opinion it is smarter than that nomu & has lots of ability especially regeneration....but S1 nomu matched with almight speed & power he had to go beyond 100% to knock it off yet he survived...but high-end was matched with hawks speed & slightly powerful than endeavour...we clearly know the gap b/w almight & other heroes...
Yeah, the one in s1 was just custom made to take on All Might. It'd be like making Endeavor fight against a noumu with fire resistance or something.
This nomu is stronger than the all might fought, the Manga already show that
This one is overall more fit to fight in any circumstances but the one in season 1 is tailor made for All Might. I think All Might would have defeated this Nomu too if he still has his S1 Power.
@@gkjustgk9371 He only had to work that hard because the first Nomu had crazy regeneration.
I’m not surprised most of them can from the US

that high end noumu was just like endeavour in reality. remember noumus are made by human beings. endeavour killed the high end, the person who was similar to endeavour. obsess with power, quirks. honestly, its sad that highend noumu died cause he is exactly like endeavour :/.
and when he said "thats why i created..." endeavour s quirk had a heat problem thats why he used his family. "thats why i created...them" what he meant.

The best moment was when Hawks said "You were the only one seriously trying to surpass him". Endeavor honestly was. He really thought he could rival All Might. He finally did. Plus, the self-reflection........damn. Let us put respect on Endeavors name from now on.
Hawks does not know that Endeavor is a garbage of a person who hurt Shoto's mom and isolated Shoto from his brothers.
@@TheUltimatum10 yeah and Endeavor reflected on it and his past and changed in this episode. He wants to try to make amends for what hes done. Anyways I dont think Hawks comments were about his personal life, it seemed he was commenting on Endeavors pursuit of strength to rival All Might, not so much comparing him in morals.

Not gonna read some notes or guide book if there is some info we got wrong or misunderstand it and we have to read those note and guidebooks and go further and check the manga than it's his mistake for not making it clear and obvious for us in the anime

Its SO cool how the hero’s think so well together. Endeavor cutting the building into tiny pieces so it wont fall on everyone, while also attacking the nomu, and Hawks catching all the pieces to lower collateral damage. They show the obvious gab between pros and our wonderful students.
Endeavor is number onr cause he has done even more hero work then prime all might. And yeah he is the strongest
Abuse is stronger? YIKES.
This is how you finish an epic season, with the new number one hero giving everything he has just as the previous one.
Also side note:
Endeavor's weakness is his own flames.

Idk how these girls did not rage at "5th season to be continued" I was crying and yelling XD quote"NO WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME!" 😭😂
Idk if it was intentional but when Hawk's was falling while talking about his back being small.
This was a huge, intense and important character development for Endeavor. What a unique and awesome way to end the season.

In the manga those two random heroes that appear briefly to long range those grey nomu actually slow Endeavor's fall.
In netflix, theres a additional episodes for mha season 4 I think its a glitch or something.
Endeavour gave me vegeta feels. All the time training and fighting to be number one then u get it and u feel empty cause what u want is ur family.
I wish more people could understand this.
