The threads at the nib work well for me as it serves as a finger stopper without the irritating threads at the beginning of the nib section - Ancora's older pens have this feature as well. If you can purchase this model at a discount it would be well worth it
I have this pen in green, and it is just grand. Mine looks better in gold trim, and has no sharp edges. The brass piston mechanism is very smooth and works flawlessly.
