Khalif Khalifah at the Nat Turner Library. We got the full story and some extra education about who Freedom Fighter Nat Turner was and why. In this docu-series we'll show you the real places where Nat Turner stood and made history for the freedoms we have today.

RESPECT TO KING NAT TURNER
Look up "My memories of Friendship", by Robert Simmons Deshields Jones. It was registered into the Maryland State archives in 1960. It was written about the time period of 1825-1862.He writes about the town, but also mentions about events, and one of them was Nat Turners' rebellion.
I found out that my great great grandfather was the son of some Turners from South Hampton County VA. They were there in the 1800s. I found out through Ancestry DNA.

It is true that some of the black elders in the 60s did not conteñue to teach their children and that is the reason why our children need to pick up the torch and keep on going. Iam an elder abouth this brother's age and I still talk to my family about important the important things . The suns & daughters NEED to pick up the torch and keep going then pass it on to their children.
I always wondered why my elders never told me about nat Turner. I called my mom and asked her she didn't know who he was and she's 60.
Their Christian they going to protect their master after the 60s. Our black people got lost of their history

I enjoyed your program but I thought you would go farther and really tell his story. After the program I felt like if I came with no knowledge of Nat Turner I still would not know the story I would not be anymore informed.
