      I hope black people won't get the idea that it's okay to go around fighting racism with violence. But I also hope that it shows ALL people that black lives have suffered to be where they are now. We need to all ease suffering of all races and stand together as humans, not as black people, as white people, etc.. We are all brothers and sisters, family, and we should all learn to have compassion and respect for each other and for our natural rights. Rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

Please spare me your attempt to school me on Nat Turner or any form of human decency for that matter. Investigate the horrors that led to Nat doing what hr did before you judge him. Please don't stop watching the stories of enslaved people. White America is doing everything it can to erase it. We need to remember how evil they were and the victims they tortured, raped and murdered with no consequences. Of course, we need movies that show our accomplishments , our triumphs, etc. but we should not want this era in history, of which we're still suffering, erased or forgotten or minimized. There should be the same "we will not forget" mentality for slavery as there is for 9/11.

      @@infinitecanadian Propaganda lies promoted by liars..there is zero proof that Henry "Nat" Turner killed or ordered the killing of any children, particularly since court testimony from Jarell W. Judkins states Nat said not to kill any poor whites. I have seen the list of the dead. Thomas R. Gray wrote those lies and told those lies under oath in court. Gray lied 3 times under oath about how many were involved in the insurrection, there were 300 involved, lied about Nat's identity, lied about Nat's family and lied about the reason for the insurrection. And when you lie under oath in court, what part of that dubious "confession" should be believed. Only actual witness against Turner was Thomas Waller. And Waller changed his story several times at the various trials in 1831. It's a popular lie that was created before he was even captured. Turner was not even in control of the group until they gathered and was not the only commander. Hark "Hercules" Moore was the other commander, who was very inclined to kill everyone and anyone. Since many farms only had a few slaves, 300 men gathered with guns and horses could not have magically appeared at one location, or even by going farm to farm. In order to garner 300 men, multiple locations simultaneously began the violence. So, while deaths did indeed occur, Turner did not order it, did not condone it, but had no control until the group was actually in his presence.

Free blacks and poor Irish were having their lands seized/coerced from them. @@infinitecanadian That's what you were told. An intentional lie. What testimony in court historically states Turner actually killed a child? What is the exact source? The only existing source claiming Turner killed a child is from the written down "confession". And that was written down and told to the court by Thomas R. Gray. Turner never appeared in court and was never seen in court. Read the transcripts of the court trial. Gray wrote that Turner told him he killed Margaret Whitehead (which some believe to be a lustful crime of passion) and a child that was thrown into a fire afterwards. Gray also testified about Turner's physical appearance, why the insurrection occurred, how many were involved and who Turner's family was historically. All of this was written down and told to the court in 1831 by Thomas R. Gray only, since Turner was never seen or heard from in court.. And I can prove Gray lied 3 times under oath. Lies. Turner never killed a child and there is zero proof he did it himself.

I,WOULD HAVE ALWAYS HAD HIM TO PRAY WITH ME BEING A BLACK MAN BY A DO OR DIE REAL WORD.THROUGH, SLAVERY HAPPENING THIS WAS A BLACK MAN I WOULD HAVE ASKED HIM TO PRAYED WITH ME BY BEING A STRONGER BLACK MAN BY ALL SPECIAL ODDS.

      yes prayer would be good but we were spending all our time (our ancestors) praying when yah /god wanted us to return to him and follow his rules that he told us to follow and every nation follow behind us this is why we lost our rulership of the world and were put in captivity in a land thats not ours serving a stranger for 400 years we were so high before slavery we had the richest everything and acted above the lord that he stooped us so damn low we were worse than dirt it had nothing to do with being black or a the curse of ham we are not from ham thats what they taught us but it was a punishment from yah/ god til this day we are hated the most because we still havent returned to him actually we are in worse state than we ever been yes we are not in a physical slavery but a mental one

    • @christianperkins39
      @christianperkins39 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What dubious sources told you how many slaves he supposedly killed? Was it the lying testimonies of Thomas R. Gray (who lied under oath 3 times in court) claiming he wrote down "confessions"? Gray lied about Turner's appearance, lied about Turner's family, lied about how many participated in the insurrection and lied about the reasons for the insurrection. After all those lies, you really think he told the truth about who killed the African slaves? You do realize at least one White man was caught and killed wearing blackface committing atrocities? You do realize whites (probably the poor Irish) rode WITH Turner in the insurrection?

    • @tate3673
      @tate3673 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@christianperkins39 I have speaking on what everyone knows here in southampton county. if slaves refused to go with him he did kill them. he is not the glamours hero everyone makes him out to be. much like most of the so called hero’s.

    • @christianperkins39
      @christianperkins39 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tate3673 I am also speaking solely on what transpired in Southhampton, VA 1831. The sources that told you Turner killed African slaves are the exact same ones that lied about Turner's appearance, his family's identity, the amount of participants and the reason for the insurrection, but you want to believe they told the truth about what slaves he killed. First, let's be clear in the fact that everyone from free negroes to Russians to American Indians had African slaves. Regarding your statement, "what everyone knows here in Southhampton county", does everyone in Southhampton county know that whites wore blackface committing atrocities pretending to be black? Why were they wearing blackface? Does everyone there in Southhampton county know that poor whites rode with Turner's group of 300 participating in the insurrection? You do realize the reason they lied about his half Nottoway ancestry was to prevent a larger insurrection that included more free blacks, slaves, poor whites and Nottoway Indians all combined fighting over rights to the land that was being seized through conniving court appointed trustees enforcing unjust free tax laws in Southhampton? Is everyone in Southhampton acknowledging this or do they simply prefer to say Henry "Nat" Turner killed slaves? Lies. If he didn't kill all poor whites, he didn't kill all slaves that refuse to fight with them, particularly since Gray is the one telling the lies of what transpired..in Gray's imaginary truth. He is not the villainous murderer that propaganda promoting liars have successfully made him out to be historically. This grand lie cleverly hides the fact that the insurrection was about Turner and many others rights to the land in that county.

    Nat turner was a fictional person, he wasn’t real

    • @christianperkins39
      @christianperkins39 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The person referred to as "Nat" Turner, described by Thomas R. Gray, doesn't exist. Dane is correct on this part. However, there was indeed an insurrection in Southhampton, VA 1831. Nancy Turner did have a son named Henry Turner, who married Cherry (Chary) Turner. The insurrection did have two leaders. Since they only caught 60 or 70 of the 300 participants, they hung someone else who fit Gray's fabricated description of Turner. So, while the intentional misnomer and falsified confessions of Turner are lies, his existence as one of the leaders of the rebellion is not false. Henry Nat Turner was a bright-skinned half Nottoway Indian negro, born of a member of the Nottoway tribe (Nancy Turner), married to a member of the Nottoway tribe (Cherry Turner). The Cheroenhaka Nottoway Indians have a website that lists members of their tribe back in 1808. Two of the names on that tribe's list of full-members are Nancy Turner (his mother) and Henry Turner. (Nat's real name). The person they hung was a fabrication, but Henry "Nat" Turner did exists. Go to their website on dot org and read how he is listed as a "free negro".
