Bokuto was my favorite hq character from the start, but that was initially solely based on his energy, his influence on the court, and his natural tendency to inspire those around him, even his opponents. One of my favorite mini moments from s4 was when Bokuto and Hinata met at the nationals before it all started and he said to Hinata: I won't go easy on you when the net is between us. Sure, this is a promise, but notice how this is one of the top 5 aces taking an amateur team seriously. He doesn't just take the face value of the team, he believes in their ability and determination. Nekoma roots for Karasuno for the Battle at the garbage dump, but Bokuto roots for them because he knows they'll win! The man is so freaking wholesome, and understanding. He knows he can afford to be emo because his team has his back. He knows how to hit the ball and where. He is very game smart and it's a shame that the majority of the fandom boiled his character down to him being a himbo. The Mujinazaka match is the 2nd most important match of the nationals (in my opinion) after the Kamomedai match and followed by the Garbage dump battle. And I swear if they don't show this match at least as much as they showed Nekoma vs Nohebi, I will be releasing my inner Akaashi kinnie on the makers of the show. Bokuto may not be the protagonist of the show, but he is such an important character to Hinata, and the match is such an important one, to the core of what makes Haikyuu!!, it needs to be done serious justice. Also Bokuto may have instigated Tsukki's inspiration, but it was Kuroo who is Tsukki's true teacher. Bokuto is more Hinata's teacher and we keep seeing them refer to each other as teacher/student throughout the series. Also, I didn't mention how Bokuto was the only one who could tell Akaashi was getting worked up during the Mujinazaki match, and he also managed to tell Akaashi to rest in a way that did not further trigger his anxiety. As someone who has anxiety (and an Akaashi kinnie lol) this legit brought tears to my eyes. So. Freaking. Wholesome.

So glad I watched this or I could have missed the reason for Bokuto's growth in the manga. He was so ever reliable when he played with our grown up little crow.

I haven't read the manga, and although you gave disclaimer I couldn't stop myself from watching the video bcaz even though in the series it's is shown that he is a double edged sword,I felt like even though the story is not about Bokuto I don't know why but he became my FAV character from the anime.Bcaz one thing that caught my eye about him is even if he has his low's when he is in his touch he is the best and most reliable
The fact that im about to cry because Bokuto is literally my favourite Haikyuu character (along with Kuroo and Tsukki) and BOKUAKA I JUST-THEM-even if you don't ship it just THEM AND THEIR DYNAMIC YES-
You won't believe but the series and your narration of all such videos have been - good good foundation for bringing myself back up... specially the Hinata narration in brazil training arc. I too am in a new country and that one was very special and close to my heart. Thank you
What i love about Bokuto is how wise he actually is underneath that loud and proud personality of his. Also when he sleeps, he sleeps on his tummy, like the owl his design is based off of
Man your videos are always top notch, your editing and narration along with the music really stands up. Also @ the 13 minute mark adding the way of the ace lines was truly epic. Keep it up!!
In the Black Jackals vs Schweiden game, Bokuto realises that his line shots were getting picked up, so the next play he smashes a cross shot. Akaashi, in the crowd, reflects on his highschool days, and the game against Nekoma where Bokuto's 37th weakness is expolited, that being "when he's excelling at one certain aspect of the game, he completely forgets how to do anything else". It was then that akaashi realises that all the "weaknesses" in his game when he was in highschool were overcome. He was also the unsung hero of the Schweiden game, and even scored the game winning point.

So glad I watched this or I could have missed the reason for Bokuto's growth in the manga. He was so ever reliable when he played with our grown up little crow.
This is the definition of a underrated youtuber
One of your vids came up on my recommendations and I decided to give it a watch. Probably one of the best decisions I've made because I absolutely love your video essays on Haikyuu (one of my favorite series). Keep up the great work!
your analysis is so accurate it gives me goosebumps. Your analysis also helps me know about things i didnt know, bruhhh, Keep up the good work
Thanks! Glad You enjoyed, it’s all I could ask for :)
I started the manga because of your videos a while ago and just finished it. And this was the game I was waiting the most to read. Everything about this is great, every character, every play, every thought, every single tone of emotion on their faces. They are the protagonists!
Thank you to Furudate sensei for this amasing series.
Thank you for this and all your other videos! Always waiting for the new ones))
The moment I saw Bokuto introduced in the anime, he was my favorite. Just a loveabe character and it was great to see his character development later on
When you talking about match i have a goosebumps.

fukurodani's shirt is the most beautiful one
"Smash every ball in your way"
Love the video, such a good inspirationly video showing that if you love something and want to be the best you need to work.
The only thing I wish you included was the clip where he's talking to Tsukishima about the love for the game :)
I LOVE YOUR HAIKYUU VIDEOS THEYRE AMAZING, you deserve tens of thousands more viewers and subs man.
Thanks so much dude, I’m so glad that you enjoyed! It’s all I could ask for.

Bokuto would be a lit anime just saying
I wouldn’t mind a hey hey hey spin off series.
THANK you so much for the spoiler warning
Haha no worries I’m extra cautious about the manga videos :)
The fact that im about to cry because Bokuto is literally my favourite Haikyuu character (along with Kuroo and Tsukki) and BOKUAKA I JUST-THEM-even if you don't ship it just THEM AND THEIR DYNAMIC YES-
Bokuto is a Diva Wide Receiver
Bokuto's a different breed.

Amazing video!! 🔥👍
Hey hey hey!!!!
You won't believe but the series and your narration of all such videos have been - good good foundation for bringing myself back up... specially the Hinata narration in brazil training arc.
I too am in a new country and that one was very special and close to my heart.
Thank you
Crazy video, I got goosebumps more than once
That means the world to me, I’m glad you liked it :)))
@@HarshReviews I'm telling you, keep on making these masterpieces! The amount of work you put into them is so so so worth it!!
What i love about Bokuto is how wise he actually is underneath that loud and proud personality of his.
Also when he sleeps, he sleeps on his tummy, like the owl his design is based off of
If someone brings out Bokuto's 100% then he will become unmatchable
Oikawa ? Atsumu ?
you deserve wayyy more subs bro. your videos are beautiful
That means a lot to me, thank you :))
Man your videos are always top notch, your editing and narration along with the music really stands up. Also @ the 13 minute mark adding the way of the ace lines was truly epic. Keep it up!!
this video is actually amazing
Thank you :))
Great video, love the manga panels
Thank you so much!
He was also the unsung hero of the Schweiden game, and even scored the game winning point.
i really like your Haikyuu videos. Thank you for making them.
I just realized I never knew Bokuto's first name!!!
Bokuto GOAT
