Dude, I watched like 3 times 4-5 tutorial, and nothing are compared to yours, no bullshit straight to the point, absolutely amazin. Thanks for this, it made me understand alot of things ! Cheers'
Nice production on the video and good explanation. I was surprised you were able to do it so well in 34 minutes. Couple rules you missed; you forgot to draw 2 and discard 1 for your research at the end of round 15 @18:47. You also did not raise your TR when you flipped an ocean at 17:20. At 21:16 you gained the extra plants in error from nitrogen rich asteroid (you get them if you have 3 plant symbols on cards, you only have 1 in play). Finally at 28:47 you could have spent 14MC to inc heat 1 more time to win at this point.
I played my first solo play through and completely messed it up! I thought Once I played one of my phase cards, I wasn’t able to play it again that round! Which meant I barely built anything, or gain any resources!! This helps a ton. Thank you!
Good game, fun to watch. Kinda like I remember although I do miss the map strategy. Truly a game that could benefit from a dedicated croupier and a shoe for the cards. In finishing school when everyone else was doing lighting round mental arithmetic like that I was busy gnawing on my crayolas. Different strokes. 🖍
Thank you for the play through, Dale. Having seen the game and owning the original, I will stick to the original. I do both the solo variant and an AI found on BGG. If I did get it, it might be to introduce the game, but not really for me.
At 9:00 how did your MC Production equal to 13? I know how you got "7" since your TR tracker was on 7, but how did you calculated you'd get 13MC? Wouldn't you get 9 MC instead? TR is 7 + MC Production is at 2. Where did you get that extra 6 to go with the 7 to equal 13?
You can keep your "poo"tatoes Mr Damon, dale shows us how to get the job done 👍. Very enjoyable playthrough, Thank you dale it's always much appreciated.
Great, now you’ve done it. I ordered my copy, it will arrive Monday. ;) Been playing the original on my iPad a lot, this one looks way better. May I ask where you got the playmat?
@Sascha Kleiber I made this channel just to get other people to buy games that I bought ... so you are welcome. ;) I got the game from Kickstarter and the mats were an add-on. Not sure if they went to retail. Hope you enjoy the game! :)
@demo4444 I'm really not much on this style of game, and it doesn't fit my regular play group ... but I'll probably keep it for when I'm with other groups. Feels like a solid game, and the components and art are great. Small box, easy to teach, lots of decisions. What type of games do you generally enjoy best? Hope that helps, and happy gaming!
@@DaletheCasualGamer I'm kinda all over the place, but in general, solo games with strategic and tactical elements. I really enjoy Marvel Champions, which is how I discovered your channel, but other games in my collection include Renegade, Jaws of the Lion, Dark Souls card game, and now TM: Ares Expedition. Have you played Imperium: Legends/Classics by chance?
@@demo4444 I have not tried Imperium, have you? I looked at it once, but it wasn't available at the time ... and since then, too many other games have been "magically" appearing. lol
Did you miss the extra 4MC when you played production in some of the first turns? I watched on a phone so your math was my main tool to check accuracy. Also very last turn looks like you had enough MC to add one more point by using UNMI's ability. Looks like the game went very well. That last turn seems to be where you can usually terraform as you can Production and Action to buy a ton.
@Isaak Anderson. It’s always a possibility with me. And yes, the last turn was huge … wasn’t sure I was going to make it as each round can really ramp up and copying the AI actions hurts a bit. Thanks for watching! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Is he right? You did raise your TR, so got extra MC during production for that - you don't also get an increase in your MC, do you?

@Jarrod Babel Thanks for watching, and the rules assists! :)
Watched it start to finish. Clear, brisk and made the game seem like fun. Excellent, really!
@Ian Evans. Thanks for watching, and glad it looked fun. :)
Awesome gameplay! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! :)
Just sitting down to do my first solo play through as you posted this!
@Matt W May your first terraforming go well! :)

good playthrough bud... just got this... so wanted a refresher so I can play it... thanks..
Hope you enjoy the game! :)

@Matus Sedlak. You are welcome for the play through … and terraforming the planet. ;)
Question: How were you able to play the green card at 16:41, thought you needed a development phase for that?
The previous card allowed me to play another that could be a green card. Hope that helped! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer oh I see, missed that. Thanks for clarification!
Brilliant. I've played solo 4 times. Never came close to victory.
5th time will be a charm! (Hopefully!) :)

@Bryan Scollick I think this game is more "Race for the Galaxy" than the original "Terraforming Mars", so I can see this not scratching that itch.

Ok, I figured it out! Still learning the game. You had 2 MC production + the "Bonus 4MC" from the Production card. Makes sense now!
We miss you dale. Hope you’re doing well.
I’m doing alright, and hope you are well too … and enjoying some games! :)
7:00 How did you come to the conclusion "Pay 6 to raise TR rating" ?
It's on the corporation card. Hope that helps!

@Bill Oatham. Planet terraformed … but I’m sure it could have been done more efficiently, but plenty of potato soup to go around. :)

Thanks so much for this play through. I just got my copy and I’m looking forward to playing and comparing it to the board game.

You should raise your MC production per each TR you advance. You did not raise it almost all game even though you were terraforming like crazy.
