As is tradition, GW have released an errata almost immediately after our video went live. Prayers now successfully chant on an "unmodified 2+" rather than a modified 2+, so chanting with -1 effects (like when using Magical Intervention) no longer fails on a 1 or 2. This does improve all PRIEST units except the Lord-Relictor, but right now we don't feel that it is enough to change our unit rankings. We are keeping a close eye on Ionus, though!
I'm a new SCE player and I did exactly that. Couldn't find the sweet palladors anywhere so scooped up the stormstrikes and rebased them to vanguard. They look really cool so it's perfect haha! Love your stuff, thanks guys.
Neave and the blacktalons are weirdly amazing in deepkin cause Lorai gets access to the Deepkin Lore. So she's able to teleport herself, and then if Neave gets the 3+ tele she can reposition near Lorai. And they are cheaper.
@@Iybraesil We recorded this two weeks ago, but it feels good to have some validation like that! Palladors and Krondys and Prosecutors are all fantastic units, but it still takes a skilled general to win a big event like that
You have very underrated stormstrike palladors, they have 12 movement and 14 points per wound, making them a very good versatile screen that allows you to attack the opponent's screens or defend yourself, the other palladors will also increase their points
I'm going to run a list when I get the other SDG and Knight Draconis built. It'll be 4 SDG, 1 Knight Draconis, 4 Fulms, Lord Relictor, 6 Prosecutors, and Stormcoven. Mission: blitz and score.
Thanks for the content, guys! It's hard to give specific feedback on a 7-hour video w/o any notes taken, but I do have a question; what ranking would you guys give The Saviours of Cinderfall? A??
Personally id rather use Questor Soulsworn. I think the teleport is way more useful, and I dislike having to add another Regiment just for Saviours. Saviours are tough but they're not so durable they will survive a reinforced cav charge, they crumble if your opponent can reduce/negate wards, and if they're on an objective you are giving your opponent a free charge. So you want to keep them on a flank objective... but Questors do that better because they can teleport somewhere useful whenever you need them. People can generally avoid putting WIZARDS into the super short threat range, and wounding on 4+ makes them inconsistent. Questor damage is also better because its not wounding on 4+, can use finest hour, and they dont need to fight wizard/mani. That said I also expect callis and toll to get nerfed hard, theyre in every other order army. The team is certainly divided on the topic!
@@TheStormkeep these are all good points. The deep strike helps you find, but does not guarantee getting the squad into optimal positioning on an objective, while also fighting a wizard. Stormcast are the 1 Order army not hurting for the ability to deep-strike...
Thank for the content! Would like see some videos on list compositions. Also some tactics you use with stormcast in your games ie the power through you mentioned a couple times. It would also be cool if you filmed your own games where one of you brought a different army if you have multiple and talk about your thought processes throughout. Thanks!
List video coming in December! We did some Battle Report videos in 3rd edition, and intend to do more. Been a little busy behind the scenes the past few months, but we are moving back to our regular production schedule
Almost finished painting my Soulsworn... then it's time for the Vanguard Palladors (I will be magnetising the weapons, since I don't trust GW to keep one variant dominant forever).
@edumh22 I'm using the old smaller bases, so will be easy to increase their footprint if Vanguard Palladors are deleted or refreshed with bigger bases.
3:23:19 To be that guy, whilst I agree with all your points on Iridan, Iridan is a they, not a she. Its a tiny thing, but if GW has given a group representation, think we should try and respect it. Otherwise yeah, rules vs narrative is completely ridiculous for them. The fact their mega death axe is worse than a regular questor weapon is so stupid.
Righteous Avengers does not give +1 Hit, but the equivalent ability on the Lord-Celestant gives +1 to Wound and the Lord-Terminos gives +1 to Hit If we said the LC on Dracoth gives +1 Hit during this review then we were mistaken!
No one. Literally no one. Paul- so how about them judicators Jokes aside, great run down and thank you for putting this time and effort into the video. Very interesting in some unit breakdowns
I really dont like the non-bo thats the warrior chamber. To get use of it, i need to include non-warrior units, who would have been better in their own chamber... i sometimes get a + to hit on some warriors, but my reclusians are way worse. Id change it so they would be better close to warrior chamber characters instead, creating a reason to bring thoose...
@@jonasandersson5838 they want to encourage people mixing chambers together ...not sure why though? It doesn't entirely fit the lore for such small regiments to work together. If anything we should have bonuses for building mono-Chamber lists, that would be more narratively appropriate
@TheStormkeep thanks for replying! Yes, it's necessarily restrictive. I guess their idea was a warmaster, hodge podge of chamber units and a core of warrior, but the points math really don't allow that.
We did. "If a friendly unit is the only unit that has Strike-first on the battlefield and it has an ability that allows a friendly unit to fight immediately after it, in what order would units be picked to fight? A: If you are the active player, the unit that has Strike-first would fight first, then you could use the ability to allow another friendly unit to fight immediately after it, and then you would pick the next unit to fight (i.e. three friendly units would fight back to back). If your opponent is the active player, the unit that has Strike-first would fight first, you could still use the ability to allow another friendly unit to fight, and then your opponent would pick the next unit to fight." It does work in the enemy turn, unless the opponent ALSO has a Fights-First unit
The battletome is very dissapointing. Too many poor designs and stuff that doesn't function. One of the few changes I can see is errata some knights to be exemplars. It's weird that there's only two and it's an easy and pretty minor change, compared to changing entire warscrolls. Releasing another prayer lore is also something they could do (like a GHB universal prayer lore?). They could also just change how prayers work, so that they are guaranteed to go off if you have the points (after losing d3+taking damage if you roll 1, that part is fine).
I think there are a lot of quick and easy fixes for many of the bad heroes in the book. Making every Knight an Exemplar and cutting their points would probably be enough for most of them. For example, a Knight-Judicator at 120p and able to be brought as an Exemplar is a very playable unit.
@@Strade8 Hehe yeah I'd love to have powerful priests too, but, praying doesn't have counter play like magic, so you do need to think about how to not make it too powerful and interesting also for the opponent in some way.
