The only good memories of my stepdad is riding into town to pick up pizza. The best'st memory was ignoring the s.d(stepdad) and getting lost in the story. THANK YOU CBS MYSTERY RADIO. I'm pushing 60 now and STILL enjoy the stories.
What a wonderful memory. I was grown by 77 and married with a child. I wish I had known about this radio show. This is awesome! I fell asleep listening. Lol. ❤️🤗 .

Wow just wow. I love these episodes that contain life lessons. At some point in all of our lives we are that bird flying backwards in some ways listening to these stories , wanting life to be as it was then , but knowing full well we should cherish right now. Life is to short to look back. Thanks for sharing these.
Life sucked back then. Energy crisis, no jobs, racial tension, riots and serial killers and kidnappings and whatever other hell ppl had to live in in their own homes. Great times. I couldn't wait to grow up.
I hear you John! I’ve loved this series my entire life and recently turned my Captain on to it too! It makes riding patrol in the cruiser go by faster as well!
I was on a flight to Brunswick Georgia . It was a 30 seater . I had a widow seat right next to the wing . It had been a while since we took off and i was looking out the window .I turned to my friend I was going on holiday with and said, "look the wing is coved with oil ." Just then the pilot came on and said, " we are not going to make it, we have to turn around and go back ." When everyone was off the plane and safely inside, the engine exploded .
WOW OMG. August 1974 & September 1975, I flew to and from Okinawa while I was in the USMC. Both flights across the Pacific were very rough. We were all over the sky. I HATE TO FLY.

I couldn't wait to catch an episode at 10 p.m. I remember all the commercials too. This is great because I'm one of those people that thinks if the past is good then live in it! The adage is not a truism as conceived by many, 'The exception proves the rule' We dont use the word "prove" in the sense it was used when this phrase originated. In the archaic sense, the same word would apply in 'battle proves the mettle of a man', in other words battle _tests_ it. Taken as we use the word "proves" we'd say, 'The exception _disproves_ the rule.'
@@hidden7195 I was thinking of the voice of the computer in "Assignment: Earth" that was used by the character Gary Seven. That computer was voiced by Barbara Babcock, who was on the series several more times, twice as characters and a few times as voices of aliens.
She says I am a women and I not stop working to have children. I a man and you would not have to ask me twice to stop working. I can't understand any person living to go to work unless perhaps if it was your own business. 95 % of German women choose to stay at home and look after the children and receive the equivalent of the minimum wage through tax breaks to do so. I tell my two daughters if you want to have happy family life and watch your kids grow up marry a German .
