Sorry to hear about the hips adding to your challenges. I've been working on two artificial hips for years now, but I remember the discomfort all too well. Getting settled in here slowly but surely. Can't wait to get back to work again.
Almost texted you the other day to see how things are going. Slow progress is still...progress!! Can't wait for your return! Irish has to look up his own damn gold prices now, since you're not doing it for him!! 😂🤣
It's good to CU Scrapping again Roger! :) Please please please take care of yourself brother. Pace yourself and don't over do it. And don't worry, had a wonderful time with ya bro. We will do it again when I can stay longer. Please feel free to take clips from our live stream together and make a video about it if you want. Stay healthy my friend. :)
Glad to hear your hanging in there. What's shred doing down your way. Heard it was 120 here. I haven't sold any thing for 15 months. Just been sick and bummed out when my yard sold out to alters. Still haven't checked out Olson's yet. Hope they do well though. Competition always helps.
I CU got one of them fancy cordless DeWalt grinders I've been saving up for one I'm getting tired of always almost having to fix a dang cord 😂 That brass radiator is something you don't see much of anymore! Great video Brother
The cordless is nice, especially when you're out on a pickup. When I'm doing motors and transformers in the shop, I prefer the corded. Batteries don't last long when using it over a long period. Yeah...the brass radiators are starting to be scarce anymore.
Roger I'm saddened to see you get even more arthritis I only have one type and it's a pain. as far as the video goes I watch to the end and comment if I really like it thank you for sharing this update with us six stars brother
Nice tear down on the rads. When I worked at the scrap yard we always used torches as well. Glad to hear you have a long term plan. With Parkinson’s I also get the brain fog when I am tired. It is no fun. Hope your hip will let you carry on for sometime yet. Glad to hear from you.
Good tutorial brother. I really hope your arthritis gets to be more manageable. I kinda thought plastipac would start this shady shit again. I hope things pick up for you soon brother . If not you know where I'm at.
Rodger nice to see you again. Im about your age and having some same issues. I have had really really good success with using the supplement Glucosamine chondroitin, a joint lubricant supplement, You have to take apx double dose for about 3 weeks before you notice your pains disappearing, then stick with full dose till most pain is gone. I get them at CVS when the run the buy one get one free sale that way they are pretty reasonably priced. Im looking for a small shop like you found there. Prices are shocking tho. Will be semi retiring next spring but hope to scrap to make ends meet untill full retirement which will be when im in the box. 😊
Paul, thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely give that a try! Sorry for the late reply, but I spent most of the day in bed. I agree with the shop prices!! They have an actual "business use" unit here. 1500 square feet with an office and bathroom, but they want $1200/month plus you got to pay electric and water on top of it. I just made a connection with a local college, and if that materializes...I'll be able to afford that!! 😁🤞👍
I understand the brain fog all to well, I have osteoarthritis and have for thirty plus years and when my blood pressure crashed one day I ended up in the hospital for six days and needed four units of blood product the doctor said no more play inflammatory drugs and the second day my legs got a mind of their own, they started me on very strong pain meds and about a year or two later my short memory took a hike. It was the oxycontin and thankfully a good part of it came back but I still have good days and bad and after back surgery and knee replacement I found out to check the side effects on new drugs and what is in them because after taking two days of a pain med the fog came back and the med was a two part and one was the one I hadn't had in ten years so those pills went in the trash. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
Thank you Robert, for sharing your story and struggles. The strongest they have ever put me on is Hydrocodone, and it doesn't affect the brain fog at all, but if I take two...I notice I get tired and need a nap. On really bad nights, I do find a couple of hits on a joint will let me sleep the entire night. I apologize for the late reply, but today was a bad day and I spent 90% of the day in bed. Feeling better now, so tomorrow is a new start!!
Great video. Funny as I was cleaning aluminum radiators as I was watching. I dont know how many you get but I have the perfect tool to fold those ears over. Ill see about picking you one up if it would be useful.
That would be great! I'm all for making things easy! A couple of years ago, I saw a video where a guy modified a pair of channel locks to do it. I wish I could remember who it was so I could try to find the video again!
Nice to see you, Roger and I've never tried the prybar, I always pry them with channel locks. I'll have to give it a go. I have never got a brass/copper rad, but hopefully one day. I hope you can get the arthritis looked after. This aging thing is for the birds. Luckily I am one. Take care and here's hoping business picks up for you.
Thank you Chris. I apologize for the late reply. I thought I had replied earlier, but I've been having problems with my phone lately and evidently it didn't reply. Today was also a bad day, so I spent 90% of the day in bed.
@@cuscrapping No worries, Roger. I didn't notice, or expect a reply. TH-cam is weird and deletes my comments all the time, so I never count on replies. lol Sorry about the bad day. I hope today is better, my friend.
Yep, getting older sucks but we Scrappers keep pushing every day. That sounds like a great goal to push for Scrapper. Take care of yourself too.

Shred is $110 at one yard, $100 at the other! 😥 When I used to take my copper to Alter in Bloomington, they usually took real good care of me.

@cuscrapping probably not brother. I'm struggling to make ends meet at the moment myself
@@scrappingonthefly77 Understood. I don't have anywhere to go, so I'll probably rewatch the video! 😂👍
