I didn't even REALIZE the transition from the triangle group formation that extends and shifts to stage right into the woozi shadow bit was an extension of the shadow idea and now that you said it I am even more mindblown by how clear the vision is. This album and comeback is incredible. I'm SO glad they renewed in full and that we get years and years more of this excellence. BLESS
Me too! I only know that Jun is Woozi's shadow, but the extension? Wow, this is why I love watching reactors who analyze seventeen choreography since we got more information about the hard work SVT gives, and just to give us amazing performances
Hi Elliott, before anything, I’d like for you to know that although a lot of carats look forward to your dance analysis, I personally don’t want the pressure to ever take away the joy you feel when watching seventeen & their cool choreos. I’m glad you decided to change the format a bit and did a blind reaction this time :)
About the choreo, yes!! This looks tiring since it’s high energy from start till end and the frequent level changes too. During their pre-recording for stages, kfans tweeted that they all collapsed on the floor right after the cameras were off. Seventeen themselves have also mentioned somewhere that the choreo is tiring and compared it to HIT, so you were right, it IS tiring. Every time Hoshi’s part comes on I can’t help but be amazed by the energy he has because he dances like his life depends on it sheesh 😭 Oh also! The part where you mentioned about shadows, it’s true too! Jun acts like Woozi’s shadow in that part & it’s my fav part of this choreo simply because I find it fascinating. They first did this in their 24H choreo (I think) where one member dances on the floor as a reflection of the one dancing while standing up.

Second, YEEESSSS the shadow thing is so cool, especially since the height difference between Woozi and Jun makes Jun look like an elongated shadow of Woozi! Then when Woozi pulls Jun up it's like the shadow is shortening as the sun goes overhead. And I didn't notice the segment leading up to it where they form a moving shadow as a whole group, but I think you're absolutely right about it. I also like how they take a second to acknowledge the coin flip sound within the choreography, it's a fun little highlight 🥰
21:32 yeah i was so mad cuz not a lot of people realized that those drop was tiring af😭 especially since in the last chorus they really did the choreography with 100% energy and drop really hard and fast lol- i was waiting your reaction cuz i know that you will definitely notice that drop lol-
anyway about the dance cover, i hope you do the whole choreography lol- must be tiring but i really want to see it😂
I can already feel myself running out of breath just watching them, and the knees as well with all the drops they did. AND THEY SING/RAP AS THEY DANCE. THE ENDURANCE AND STRENGTH THEY HAVE MYGOOOOOOD

21:16 This is so interesting, cuz I would've thought that "Hit" or "Call Call Call" would've top the list of hardest SVT choreo (tho I'm not a dancer so I legit wouldn't know) but if there is a cover of "Hot" I'd love to how the other two choreos would compare
What I really enjoy about your reactions is that you add in lessons here and there and/or explain the background (storyline wise at times) for each move. Like I really really enjoy that about your reactions.
I totally agree with how you said Hot choreo is tiring, especially the parts when they drop down??? and I'm not even a dancer lol. This is definitely one of the most intense SVT choreos along with Hit and Getting Closer. And many others I can't think of right now lol

I thought the same Seungkwan looked great this particular comeback I think it's both the hair style and he lost a bit weight which make it perfect. He looked so handsome in this era.
I was thinking that HOT's relatively simpler than their other choreos, but apparently, since I'm no dancer at all, HOT is hard af... wouldn't have known without you, hope you're doing ok~

When I first watched their 'hot' dance practice..i was amazed but watching dancers reacts to this makes me appreciate it more because it makes me realized how hard the choreography is and each step and details is precise and also the story/meaning/feeling they're trying to convey.

There was also a shot of the shadow dance concept in the MV! If you turn the subtitles on you can see that it’s at the exact point the lyrics talk about a shadow
References to Peter Pan are everywhere in the concept of their latest album Sector 17. I strongly recomend the song shadow. It's completely about an adult who doesn't know how to be, if not an eternal child.

I loveee watching them dance! They are so in sync and just have a swag about the way they move. Of course the song is amazing too! the move at 13:58 was popularized on tik tok but is a known move done by HBCU drum majors. They used to be litttt lol
Just want to mention the "tiktok move" is actually a popular step from HBCU marching band drum majors. It kind of became popular on Tiktok, but it didn't originate there!
I'm always amazed by your dance analysis. Even though subtitles are off, you analyzed parts of choreo very well. Even on your other vids! That's why I love watching your reaction videos and I always wait gour release whenever there are Kpop cb u know.

Yes yes!!!! Yes to a cover and yes to this video in general! I actually personally love doing something similar to this as well when it comes to comebacks! I usually use the MV as a way to get a first view into the vibes of the song and whether the song ITSELF entices me to keep going. Then I try and find a live stage so I can see the choreo and camera work at its full potential! Sometimes watching the choreo will make me like the track more and sometimes the MV has already hooked me in so it's always a toss up to which is the more important aspect of the two LOL 😆 I'm honestly okay with type of style because while your dance analyses are important to us, your own happiness is more important!
