can we appreciate how Elliot always give us mini dance lesson segments? because as a dancer myself, i really love when seventeen and their choreographers give references to the basics like omg it means so much to me esp the details!
And YES, Woozi & Jun’s choreography matches the lyrics and is meant to be a shadow. Something you picked up on while watching and without lyrics. This is why I enjoy you, you’re a joy to watch and very knowledgeable
I didn't even REALIZE the transition from the triangle group formation that extends and shifts to stage right into the woozi shadow bit was an extension of the shadow idea and now that you said it I am even more mindblown by how clear the vision is. This album and comeback is incredible. I'm SO glad they renewed in full and that we get years and years more of this excellence. BLESS
Me too! I only know that Jun is Woozi's shadow, but the extension? Wow, this is why I love watching reactors who analyze seventeen choreography since we got more information about the hard work SVT gives, and just to give us amazing performances
Hi Elliott, before anything, I’d like for you to know that although a lot of carats look forward to your dance analysis, I personally don’t want the pressure to ever take away the joy you feel when watching seventeen & their cool choreos. I’m glad you decided to change the format a bit and did a blind reaction this time :) About the choreo, yes!! This looks tiring since it’s high energy from start till end and the frequent level changes too. During their pre-recording for stages, kfans tweeted that they all collapsed on the floor right after the cameras were off. Seventeen themselves have also mentioned somewhere that the choreo is tiring and compared it to HIT, so you were right, it IS tiring. Every time Hoshi’s part comes on I can’t help but be amazed by the energy he has because he dances like his life depends on it sheesh 😭 Oh also! The part where you mentioned about shadows, it’s true too! Jun acts like Woozi’s shadow in that part & it’s my fav part of this choreo simply because I find it fascinating. They first did this in their 24H choreo (I think) where one member dances on the floor as a reflection of the one dancing while standing up. I think I said too much, I’m sorry 😂 Glad you (seemed like) you had fun with this reaction! Looking forward to you dancing this choreo next 🔥
Thank you for this kind comment and I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to write all of this 🥲 Honestly, Carats have been so welcoming and kind ever since the beginning of me making SVT content. Sincerely, I consider myself blessed that you all have been so understanding and appreciative of my content ☺️ I think what I cherish the most about it, is that Carats also recognize and appreciate me as an individual dancer/content creator 🥹 Thank you for the extra behind the scenes info! I knew I could count on the comments for adding additional information about this comeback! It really helps my journey a lot! ❤️ [okay now I think I wrote too much 😅 lol]
First: [Elliott crushing over Minghao, Hoshi, and Woozi this comeback] = [Everey carat everywhere] Second, YEEESSSS the shadow thing is so cool, especially since the height difference between Woozi and Jun makes Jun look like an elongated shadow of Woozi! Then when Woozi pulls Jun up it's like the shadow is shortening as the sun goes overhead. And I didn't notice the segment leading up to it where they form a moving shadow as a whole group, but I think you're absolutely right about it. I also like how they take a second to acknowledge the coin flip sound within the choreography, it's a fun little highlight 🥰
21:32 yeah i was so mad cuz not a lot of people realized that those drop was tiring af😭 especially since in the last chorus they really did the choreography with 100% energy and drop really hard and fast lol- i was waiting your reaction cuz i know that you will definitely notice that drop lol- anyway about the dance cover, i hope you do the whole choreography lol- must be tiring but i really want to see it😂
I can already feel myself running out of breath just watching them, and the knees as well with all the drops they did. AND THEY SING/RAP AS THEY DANCE. THE ENDURANCE AND STRENGTH THEY HAVE MYGOOOOOOD
References to Peter Pan are everywhere in the concept of their latest album Sector 17. I strongly recomend the song shadow. It's completely about an adult who doesn't know how to be, if not an eternal child.
I just notice that my boy Jun didn't get so much break time during the choreo, i was like "boom" is he even human? How can he have a lot of energy. Love for SVT 💎💙💙
What I really enjoy about your reactions is that you add in lessons here and there and/or explain the background (storyline wise at times) for each move. Like I really really enjoy that about your reactions.
17:33 Oh whoa! Thanks so much for pointing out that concept! I didn't catch that the shadow concept started at Wonwoo's part. It was so informative. I love the choreo even more now. 21:16 This is so interesting, cuz I would've thought that "Hit" or "Call Call Call" would've top the list of hardest SVT choreo (tho I'm not a dancer so I legit wouldn't know) but if there is a cover of "Hot" I'd love to how the other two choreos would compare
i always love listening to your inputs regarding seventeen's choreo especially. you are a dancer with real knowledge in dancing so i appreciate that a lot. although i'm no a dancer, i love learning new things from you. also, repsect to your view on woozi. it's unchanging from the very first impression when you watched seventeen home choreo back then. love you a lot, elliot!
When I first watched their 'hot' dance practice..i was amazed but watching dancers reacts to this makes me appreciate it more because it makes me realized how hard the choreography is and each step and details is precise and also the story/meaning/feeling they're trying to convey.
I loveee watching them dance! They are so in sync and just have a swag about the way they move. Of course the song is amazing too! the move at 13:58 was popularized on tik tok but is a known move done by HBCU drum majors. They used to be litttt lol
There was also a shot of the shadow dance concept in the MV! If you turn the subtitles on you can see that it’s at the exact point the lyrics talk about a shadow
I totally agree with how you said Hot choreo is tiring, especially the parts when they drop down??? and I'm not even a dancer lol. This is definitely one of the most intense SVT choreos along with Hit and Getting Closer. And many others I can't think of right now lol
I cant agree more, this mv is visual rollercoaster like you said,, and for me, these are thirteen visual attacker, every member shines like sun, soo hoottt
Omg thanks for this vid! This choreo is very great they did so well! tiring as well hhshsjsjsks but i think they said 'HIT' is waaayyy exhausting probably from all the jump and the energy level of that song. 🤣
I was thinking that HOT's relatively simpler than their other choreos, but apparently, since I'm no dancer at all, HOT is hard af... wouldn't have known without you, hope you're doing ok~
I'm always amazed by your dance analysis. Even though subtitles are off, you analyzed parts of choreo very well. Even on your other vids! That's why I love watching your reaction videos and I always wait gour release whenever there are Kpop cb u know.
Just want to mention the "tiktok move" is actually a popular step from HBCU marching band drum majors. It kind of became popular on Tiktok, but it didn't originate there!
Hey homie! I really appreciate you for your amazing Seventeen reactions/analyses. And I appreciate you as a person! So I want to tell you I understand why you're anxious. But please know that we love your content because of YOU. No matter what, you + Seventeen is always a fantastic combo. You always do them justice. And we love to see you so happy and enthusiastic about the insanity that is Seventeen's choreography. But your mental health comes first. If your anxiety takes away from the joy of reacting and analyzing, then please don't force yourself to do so. We love and appreciate you no matter what and we will always be right here to scream over SVT with you. I have no idea if my rambling makes any sense so I'll send you an extra hug to make up for it! 🖤
I'm always entertained when i watched your svt reaction but most importantly I feel like your comment or analysis adds something to it, whether it's about classic dance moves or interpretation of the choreo... (can't say the same to many other react channels) Thank you and I really appreciate what you do here :)
I think now i get it why carats loves your videos so much. Like every svt makes a cb, you are everywhere in my timeline it's crazy. It's amazing. Your commentaries are superb bcs it hits the concept like a bullseye! I love talking svt's music and choreo and you here is like "hi, u wanna talk svt, lezzgoo" fr Aghh i think i need to binge-watch ur vids
I like when you said we should appreciate their moves and effort in dancing. Because of experienced and talented people like you who creates informational (is that even a word? 😅) content like this, we get to know better about what they are doing and appreciate them together. Because I usually just enjoy the visuals, of course lol 🤣
I thought the same Seungkwan looked great this particular comeback I think it's both the hair style and he lost a bit weight which make it perfect. He looked so handsome in this era.
Yes yes!!!! Yes to a cover and yes to this video in general! I actually personally love doing something similar to this as well when it comes to comebacks! I usually use the MV as a way to get a first view into the vibes of the song and whether the song ITSELF entices me to keep going. Then I try and find a live stage so I can see the choreo and camera work at its full potential! Sometimes watching the choreo will make me like the track more and sometimes the MV has already hooked me in so it's always a toss up to which is the more important aspect of the two LOL 😆 I'm honestly okay with type of style because while your dance analyses are important to us, your own happiness is more important! We stan you for you, Elliott!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
seventeen just drop their dance practice videp for darling!😍😍 its really eye pleasing as always BUT on another level…. you need to check that out😁 thank you for always loving seventeen!💎💗
(unofficial)easter egg but like its hella funny: joshua wearing wired earphones. there was this vogue interview with him and vernon, it was a "whats in my bag" type of video. he pulled out a wired earphones during his turn, then vernon pulled out a massive wireless headset and joshua just looked at it and looked back at his wired ones and just AHAHAHHAAH THE FACE HE MADE then i think he took the headset when they were asked to take 3 things from each other's pile
sorry, but that paused at 5:16 got me laughing so hard 😭 i can imagine someone zooming the cam to his face and it was so funny, we had the same reaction
I’m a week late but just want to say that i really love this, i’ve always waiting for ur dance analysis/reaction video because i somehow learned something and it makes me amazed everytime! Thank you for this!!
Just new to your channel as well as SVT, love your reaction videos, i think Im learning more about SVT because of your comments about them. At the same time learning from your bits of trivia.. not a dancer here but its interesting to see your perspectives,.. ❤ more power to this channel
Thank you sm for this reaction and analysis Elliott. Love your little dance classes (and the pouring-the-heart-out session), really interesting for us non-dancers and makes us appreciate the choreo even more. As much as we carats look forward to seeing you on the scene during svt comeback season, I'd like to say that we appreciate any reaction you have for us whether it be first looks or research prepared😊 I know it's easier said than done, but I hope some of the pressure gets alleviated😅. Hope you're doing ok and take care~
Hey Elliott!! We love your dance analysis because you're able to point out things that had an impact on us & also teach us some details that we might have missed ^^ BUT we also love reactions where you just plainly enjoy yourself listening to SEVENTEEN, please don't be too hard on yourself, we already know how amazing they are, sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the moment ^^ I also love how much hip-hop there is in here like the foundations, aside from the krumping ^^ because they actually describe the song as western(wild west) hip-hop and they had a choreo to perfectly match it :) I love the rollout of Hoshi's sides during his solo time, I thought you'd react to that because I wanna ask what genre was that if not vogue-ing?

You know whats so ironic is that I noticed a Peter pan and lost boys concert in my darling video, but I didn’t put two and two together until after lol 😅😅
I know that there is a shadow concept in woozi's part (jun as his shadow), but I didn't notice that it started during wonwoo's rap until you pointed it out. 😳
little fact: jeonghan's birthday is 10-04-95. 1004- read as *cheon* (being 1000) and *sa* (means 4) but the word *cheonsa* itself also means angel, that's why hannie refers to himself as so despite his-- ehem, chaotic cheating shenanigans in their show, going seventeen😏🤣 so the wings makes sense, even more so when they fell down from the neverland-like place they were in at darling so i had the fallen angel reference connected to hannie because of his broken wing that he also threw. also, "for me," it connotes to his mischievous and wicked side despite his innocent angelic looks. basically they just went good boys gone bad here. notice how on mingyu's part at the begin where he made a heart and a bullet went through the middle, shooting the letter l in the word *darling,* with that they were left with the word *daring* which basically sums up the amount of hotness in the mv.

scoups did mentioned HOT is as tiring and complicated as HIT 🔥🔥🔥
And it will be as hard as their future song HAT.
Ok, I'm out...

I'd love to see a cover, this choreography is so satisfying to watch the way they move and their transitions and formations are insane
🥵🥵

Me at 2am: No, continue, you're onto something!

Rigend Film always does such an amazing job for Seventeen's MV, their editing, set concepts and styling are always top notch

Thank you Elliott! My favorite part of comebacks is your reviews!!!
Your Seventeen and TXT dance analysis videos are the ones I wait for and enjoy the most ahhhh thank you for this!
Omg thanks for this vid! This choreo is very great they did so well! tiring as well hhshsjsjsks but i think they said 'HIT' is waaayyy exhausting probably from all the jump and the energy level of that song. 🤣
I thought that in an interview they said that this choreo is as tiring as 'HIT'

One of my favorite reactors, thank you so much for this!
Elliioootttt I'm at work!!!! I need to watch this too 😂😂😂 But nothing short of amazing from our Seventeen boys huh? 😉
We love your dance analysis because you're able to point out things that had an impact on us & also teach us some details that we might have missed ^^ BUT we also love reactions where you just plainly enjoy yourself listening to SEVENTEEN, please don't be too hard on yourself, we already know how amazing they are, sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the moment ^^
I also love how much hip-hop there is in here like the foundations, aside from the krumping ^^ because they actually describe the song as western(wild west) hip-hop and they had a choreo to perfectly match it :) I love the rollout of Hoshi's sides during his solo time, I thought you'd react to that because I wanna ask what genre was that if not vogue-ing?
im so surprised you caught onto the "peter pan" concept since it's theorized that the darling music video was based on peter pan!! there's a video out there that expands on the music video but im surprised u brought that up lol
You know whats so ironic is that I noticed a Peter pan and lost boys concert in my darling video, but I didn’t put two and two together until after lol 😅😅
17:22 HAHAHAHAHA Elliot procesando...
Finally!!! Elliot I Looovee you're reaction.
2:32 LMAOOO u did good though 😭

so the wings makes sense, even more so when they fell down from the neverland-like place they were in at darling so i had the fallen angel reference connected to hannie because of his broken wing that he also threw. also, "for me," it connotes to his mischievous and wicked side despite his innocent angelic looks. basically they just went good boys gone bad here. notice how on mingyu's part at the begin where he made a heart and a bullet went through the middle, shooting the letter l in the word *darling,* with that they were left with the word *daring* which basically sums up the amount of hotness in the mv.
May I suggest you please check out their Getting Closer choreo :') It's so underrated!
Good luck with your dance cover of Hot!
