I've always played the triplets with alternate picking. Is this the way you learned it back in the day? I remember watching them play it in TH-cam back in the day and the alternate picked most of it. Nik seems to play it with down picked

I'm pretty sure you just need to color invert the layer/track (depending on what editing software you use).
