- A mysterious demo tape recently arrived at Dr. Light Studios.
Wrapped in parchment and sealed with wax, the only correspondence included with the cassette was a note reading:
Release me.
-The Belmonts
Could it be, this fabled band is more than just a rumor? Tales of an obscure outfit hailing from Romania have followed us like a phantom - doppelgängers from another place and time whose sound and story are eerily similar to our own...
Who are we to reject their request? We digitized the tape, and here are the results.
The Megas present: The Belmonts.
Also available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Music and pretty much all those other streaming services. Enjoy!

*Death is a hunter not unknown to its prey. Yet tonight, the hunter finds himself hunted instead.*
And in these strange aeons even death may die
Which is why I'm convinced if there were ever a crossover of CV and Soul Calibur, Zasalamel would have much respect for the Belmont family. Z is more or less like the reaper, though perhaps not by choice.
It's really hard to write a song about something more badass than, not only killing death himself, but making him _terrified._
I don't think people really appreciate how OP all of the Castlevania protags truly are. Even Death himself cowers before them.
Kind late to comment, but death in the game is a shinigami, mor like a demon then a divine entity level of power, but in the same universe dracula is in that god entity level, and the belmont kill him, so, they are still op xD
Man, considering I signed on forThe Megas about 7 years ago to the rock going on in Get Equipped, I'm not sure I'd have believed myself if I went back in time and told my younger self 'Hey, you're gonna like their 80s synth Castlevania collab even more'. That's raw talent, that you can do something so completely different within the same career and it's just as good.
The Megas is seriously my favorite independent band hands down. This stuff was worth the wait because they clearly don't know how to churn out anything but gold.
Cobalt Kirikizan Think we'll get more Castlevania tunes from them? As well as other VG series soundtracks? Ninja Gaiden's music would be a great fit for them.
this is a good piece of work but the guy who made this comment is my friend and i felt like mentioning to everyone here that hes a gumpus
Is this a collab?
@@MrSilvUr Nope its the Megas under a Vania name.
This feels like a testament to a Belmont's unwavering courage in the form of a song. It's only fitting that you chose the music from the hardest stage of the original Castlevania as the inspiration.
The reaper takes what's his
That is what they say
He wants to take your life
It won't be this day
You can feel it burn
Somewhere deep within
You can hear them scream
What is it they say?
Who's imprisoned here?
Is it you, or they?
You can feel it burn
Somewhere deep within
Death comes for all men
Now you come for him
[Chorus]
You will not be denied
Death takes nobody
Can't stop you tonight
Your heart of fire burns inside
This heart of fire burns tonight[x2]
They cannot cage what's in your heart
Tonight, tonight, tonight
You cannot leave this place
That is what they say
The keeper has the key
But you found a way
You can feel it burn
Feel the flames surround
From the darkness you
You can hear him say
He has the power here
You will take it away
You can feel it burn
Feel the flames surround
You can see his fear
As you strike him down
[Chorus]
They cannot cage what's in your heart
Tonight, tonight, tonight
And now you see what sets apart
Tonight, tonight, tonight
They cannot stop you now no
Nothing can stop you now
Let the flames consume you
Let the fire burn
[Chorus]
I think it's "Death Takes No Bride, He Can't Stop You Tonight."
Shurikens Miner I’m pretty sure he says, “Death takes no bribe”
I always heard it as "You will not be the life Death takes-"
Death takes no bribing, can't stop you tonight.
Gracias por la letra amigo
This song is beautiful, easily my favorite of the 3.
I love this song, my favorite so far.
I gave these songs a chance cause they popped up on my spotify. I almost missed what song was playing. So I came here to get a proper second listen without the song shifting on me before I know what song it is.
and I am digging the 80s vibe to this. I shared it with a friend cause she's pretty into the recent anime out, she loves it too. The perfectly timed lyrics that put a sense of power and somber need into your heart.
In fact. It makes me wish I never stopped playing my castlevania game. I might.. have to go back and restart it some day.
Do it. Dewit dewit dewit!
The Megas are awesome, even if you're not a fan of Castlevania and Mega Man you shall still find their music fantastic.
@@Lucrei.I absolutely DID enjoy all their released megaman and Castlevania songs. In fact I discovered my love of both games so I appreciate their music even more now.
What's wonderful though, is that I was seriously trying to find good synth rock. Gods bless my luck.
Sounds like a pretty good night to have a curse
I absolutely love this mini album.
Yet another songs of yours I love. Hope you guys make a full-length Castlevania-themed album in the near future!
I never actually thought they would do this?!
hope you guy's make vampire killer , the beginning , mad forest , and clock tower
I'm partial to the virtually unknown Eneomaos Machine Tower.
The newest set of songs has vampire killer!! It's super hype!
I wanna hear Divine Bloodlines, Slash, and Cemetery
Will put in votes for Silence of Daylight and Monster Dance
Such a good song!
Which song is this based on? I know what Bloody Tears and Out of Time are based on, but not this one
Heart of Fire, the stage music for Death's level in Castlevania 1.
Thanks
the Belmont family, kicking Death's ass since medieval times.
Plus the Morris's and Alucard, lol
Play at 1.25x speed. Awesome.
I'd be listening to this too if I was getting ready to face the Grim Reaper too
What's the title of the original song? for comparison's sake.
The original song is also called Heart of Fire.
I just realized that Mega Man songs had boring generic names, and that's why they changed them to badass new titles
But the Castlevania songs already had badass, non generic titles, so they just kept them as they were
why the fuck is this an EP and not a full album
he was saying that it was too good to just be a few EPs
it really doesn't
i think you're projecting
A true man is a Belmont man
so, what, people just dont die anymore
yes.
Sorry for necroing an ancient comment, but in case you're somehow still curious (or anyone else reading this comment is)...English localizations of the games incorrectly translate it as "Death", the singular entity, but in the original Japanese he's called "Shinigami". That's a term for *a* god of death, not *the* god of death. Canonically he's just an entity born of Chaos, the power source Dracula uses; he's certainly strong, but he's not the literal embodiment of the concept of death.
@@MisterNohbdy It's also definitely still possible to die after you beat him up.
@@MisterNohbdy They should just call him The Grim Reaper instead.
Death and Dracula disliked this.
Aw man, I was gonna post that! XD
how can they both dislike it when there's only one dislike?
@@brandonwilson955 They must have combined into True Dracula like how they did in Portrait of Ruin. That's how you know they're serious!
"Dr. Light Studios"
gtfo, y'all are too cool xD
