    Is there any chance you would do another coarse on neuro but more like this style? I preffer the faster kind of stabby neuro if you know what i mean i would buy something like that in a heartbeat im good at creating basses but i suck in intros and those fast feeling drums

  • @xOBS3SS10NX

    Is this a viable technique for dubstep songs as well? Sounds like something Marauda does for his sub considering it glues so well with his basses

    • @Letsynthesize
      @Letsynthesize  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d say yes! Some of these tearout songs has more distorted than warm subs but overall these styles overlap each other

    I'm curious about when add sub, must need to cut main basses low end? if i low cut i feel lowend empty even if add sub.

  • @JohnTronMusic
    @JohnTronMusic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video btw but i dont understand why you shouldnt put a sub on high pitched basses? i thought its needed cause there are no sub frequencies in there and it will sound empty without a sub

    • @Letsynthesize
      @Letsynthesize  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Can i get a Hello no, not always! A synth sound does not need a sub, only bass sounds need sub. You need to make an interesting arrangement and if the sub is always there, when does the song breath? You must let it breath! No need to put sub everywhere

      This is wrong advice IMO. Listen to your favorite songs. they have sub in many places with a synth sound like in his example. You need to think of your D’n’B song like a band and figure out where everything sits/has its place. I’m not saying it’s necessarily always has to be with that that synth in his example BUT if the groove would benefit from well produced low end punch with that synth sound you sure as hell better find out how to get them to punch together. Again listen to your favorite neuro and you’ll hear the sub there. Buy a sub if you don’t have one. Otherwise you won’t experience enough tracks of how producers use the sub in their mix.

    When you say sampled Neuro sub bass, do you mean just another copy of the orginal bass but then low passed and such or do you use a feature in albleton which I don't have In logic x . I'm currently working on a track where I've made 2 separated basses, a low solo one with a higher one built around it and it still lacks decent sub regardless of EQ ect. So I'm intrigued to try out this trick but I'm just not sure what you mean by using a sampled sub. Over creating a new one in serum or phase plant. Advice appreciated. Cheers

      Just take a long sustaining sample from a sample pack that has very nice warm sub and use that low passed instead of a sine.

      @@Letsynthesize where do you control the pitch bend of samples in an audio or midi track that isn't using sampler? That part went too fast :p

      Also choose Complex or Complex Pro warping mode because in Beat mode you won't hear the effect.

      @@Letsynthesize Thanks this helps, but how does it make the sub and bass sit better together? You increase the pitch 0 - +24 over the course of the same time in both samples? Sorry I'm not understanding so easily how this makes the bass better

    Why would you not want a sub when the bass is high? I'd like some low sub on a high note bass tbh

    • @Letsynthesize
      @Letsynthesize  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course it depends on taste but i experienced that its just ruins the picture if that sub plays all the time. Leave air for the listener!
