I LOVE THIS! I’m a recent convert myself going thru my junior year of high school and I have not felt anything more real than this. I completely felt welcomed and loved and i couldn’t be happier. God bless you in so many more ways! ❤️
feelings < history.. check out the romans, history of their expansion conquer and gods, im a former xtian conversion from hs and now skeptic.. sorry to comment!!! lol i was looking up how to pronounce kwaku for other reason and sticking around to listenin to testimony.. reading comments.. again sorry for negative.. peace !
I started investigating since practically all my life something was guiding me towards the LDS church, but ignored it since I didn’t know anyone that was LDS nor was that close to God. Until I wanted to get baptized as Christian funny how I felt that there was always something better and I walked in the church (LDS) to get out my chest about that something better and little did I know there was. It all clicked and came together everything I wanted in a church and strongly felt like home ect. Now this is my happiness and it literally saved my life. Obviously there’s always has to be critics on things that are even good, so I honestly don’t care what people say to change my testimony it’s my life and I know how much happiness and miracles I’ve received as a follower of Christ. #myhappinessnotyours
@@sarahturner4148 no it hasn't. Name a person in the public eye that has? It's impossible to disapprove it since there are hundreds of questions. FAIR at BYU acknowledges the question as legitimate. When someone tell me not to read something that's when I do. This channel said they would have a CES letter debunking video. but they won't because responses will get torn apart. I believe they want to skip over it so they don't give true believers serious questions they didn't know about. If you're a true believer then the letter should only strengthen your testimony. Give it a glance see what the fuss is about. Don't take my word for it or anyone else's.
J San, the LDS Church teaches the King Follet Discourse. From Joseph Smith said that Jesus was once an exaulted man on a planet and because he did good works he got to be a god. This Goes against the bible with more scripture than i can count. Brother i pray you understand that mormon teaching is an antithetical imposition of the bible Isaiah 43: 10 "Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me." Jesus is Lord i pray you seek out Scripture and see that truth in Christ is better than Tradition from mormonism. They may be kind, but they teach a false Doctorine similiar to what was happening in the first century in the Church in Galatia. Read Galatians 1, Paul says because they were changing the laws of God that gentiles were required to be circumcised for religious practice after the law had been fulfilled and The Greek Word the apostle paul uses for Any Church That makes changes to the gospel as "accursed" but it's Koine Greek Original Translation is "anathema". Which means the farthest distant darkness away from God. I beg you as a brother, you may have been around unChristlike Christians please Come back to the Truth, but don't take my word for it, but Scripture alone, God says to live off Sola Scripture or Scripture Alone. And Scripture is entirely in opposition to Mormon Theology I say this with love
@@Cyber_Cowboy Frankly I find the Letter to be rather poorly researched and sourced. While a few of the presented questions rise to the level of pertinence, mostly it contains previous debunked assumptions or just plain dishonest presentation of documentation.
I am a convert also, I was a Muslim to follow my mother's faith, my father was a Buddhist. I learned the Bible from Pantecostal Church in my early age. Now, I now I am completed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
Hey, thanks for sharing your story. I'm an investigator right now and still trying to wrap my head around everything about the church. I only prayed once to get a sign from God if I am being called or not. I told myself it's not for you. But, I keep youtubing about it. Glad you had you had your own spiritual light. I want that, too.
This is so perfect! I love the point you make to not just stop when you have one question that needs an answer--just keep going! If you pray, the answer will come when Heavenly Father thinks you are ready for it. That's so awesome that you kept searching.
Or you could go straight to God's word for the answer! Praying is great but The Holy Spirit speaking to us is confirmed by God's word and his word alone! Seek the truth! God says thy word is true! That has to be our standard for truth! We can pray and get a feeling that we interpret as an answer or the Holy Spirit speaking to us, but unless his word confirms it it isn't truth!
That was a beautiful, Brother! I was just baptized in the church tonight and I have no regrets! There's people I know who were trying to talk me out of it but I knew this was the right answer. I instantly felt the Holy Spirit right after my baptism myself. Praise Jesus! 🙏❤️✝️
Two years later, how you doing? I’m a life long member, I hang my struggles, but being a member of this church is the best thing that could have ever happened to me spiritually. I hope all is well with you and your testimony.
Lmao. "They were all sitting together" is the most accurate thing I've ever heard. Back in California we all sat together for every meal. Didn't pray or anything like that but we just stuck together. Jocks, band geeks, skaters, nerds. We all just felt close. I miss that. I haven't felt a sense of community since I left the church. Maybe it's time to go back. I want my kids to have that.
I too grew up in California. Our LDS group were tight. Got us all through those yucky teenaged years. Don’t wait to go back. My brother was coming back but put it off. He died before he came back. In those final days, he was kicking himself for procrastinating.
Ya, I had some people In school that I hated. But they were in our ward and for some reason, we all at young mens and Sunday school just were close. No bad blood, just essentially bliss.
Count yourself lucky that you grew up as a member outside of Utah. Growing up I was a molly mormon and even though we were all Mormon it was cliqy as heck for me growing up in rural Utah. I might leave the church haven't decided yet. Thinking non denominational Christian.
Dude... I freaking love this, so much! I don't know why, but I'm super obsessed with hearing others conversion stories! It's just...a breath of fresh air, I think.. A lot of people who grow up in the church, just don't quite appreciate how much sacrifice, and humility it takes to follow your heart, and take that leap of faith.
Yes!!! Mormons are not perfect, but many of us have experienced so many good fruits and spiritual witnesses and blessings in our lives because of our testimonies. There ARE answers and rebuttals to all the questions and attacks on the church. We don't have to be shamed or bullied about how we feel and what we choose to believe. I also kept praying and searching through my questions, but I also kept the commandments and the promises I had made to the Lord throughout my search. It took over a year, but the answer came and I feel stronger than ever. All of the best things in my life come from my testimony of Jesus Christ and following His example the best I can.
LOVE THIS! I'm a convert as of March 24th baptism, I've NEVER been HAPPIER in my #FAITH and miracleous LOVE that I feel is beyond words angelic HEARTS and my lack of knowledge for years was stereotyped because of lack of knowledge , LOVE your AWESOME testimony and HUMOR, LOVE THIS channel!! Keep on keeping on y'all!👏❤🖒👏❤🙏☝️✌❤❤
Thanks a lot for sharing! I love your channel! I met the Church in San Diego, CA, back in 2009. I was renting a room from a member. I got into trouble when I lost a job and the church helped me to find a new one and I got a lot of new friends there. I remember my first missionaries, Sister Bell and Sister Todd. We met at a youth event when we played football with pillows :) That church didn't seem quite churchy as compared to the Russian Orthodox church, but I was absolutely fascinated by the San Diego Temple. I saw it in my dreams a couple of times. And all I knew about Mormons was that they were brave guys who had come and built Salt Lake City in a lifeless desert. I embraced the Book of Mormon, and the more I read the more questions I had. And I still have. At first I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that apostles could be modern and that the Twelve Apostles mentioned in the Bible were not the only people called apostles. But the doctrines of pre-existence, Kingdoms of glory and Plan of Salvation felt so true. I prayed and thought I'd received that answer that the Book of Mormon was true. At least, it's as much of a scripture for me as the Bible. However, as I was in California and that trip was the brightest trip of my teenage years, that feeling could be mixed up with a kind of traveller's excitement. So there were times when I looked into other religions and tried to answer the question: why not Orthodox/Catholic/Lutheran.. And I found rational answers, based on mind rather than feelings. After that I met tens of missonaries here in Russia, saw lots of temples in Europe, attended a wedding of an ex-missionary in the Netherlands, and this year I've attended a youth conference in Turkey. And I can really say that the church does feel like home, whatever country you come to.
Jaide Carstairs you love this ? Hmm 🤔 because y’all believe one day y’all be god ? Smith was lair false prophet. Come and read the real gospel and saved.
Today i got baptized.i just told. My mom and my gf. My mom was okay with it. My gf wasnt that happy about but i pray for it that she accepts my beliefs
I would love to do that but i dont use facebook anymore and i domt have instagram. I am from germany i can create an account i can tell you guys my story
Please never stop what you're doing. My son is serving a mission in Arizona, and I am just now starting to understand how important testimony is like yours, to all of the return missionaries. Thank you
Quite a few years ago I was cutting grass around survey markers in Napa California when an elderly gentleman approached me see’s a wedding ring on but still asks I see your married got kids? I have a daughter, that is my life next to her mother and her bun in the oven. He then asked do you love your family which my response was I would die for my family although I preferred to be around for them! The following words were what caught my attention most” hey boy are you aware that families can be together forever” A great starting point. I state this to all mankind had it not been for my wife Kitty and the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints I would not be upon this earth! I am very thankful and More then grateful for the covenant that I hold and honor doctrine and covenants 132. This I know to be true and they must remember that I have to keep it together in a manner that will put a smile on my Heavenly Father’s face .
Thank you Young man. You’re awesome, your testimony is powerful. Welcome to the LDS church, May the Lord continue to light your path and keep you safe.👍❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Quite a few years ago I was using a weedeater to cut around steaks not the meat steaks, when an older gentleman saw me & approached me. He made an introduction & said my name is William Frank Shepard and I want to ask you a question. I see you’re married do you love your wife? I responded by telling him I love my wife and our little baby girl, and we have another one in the oven! He then tells me are you aware that families can be together forever? That was the start of my conversion. I was so confused as well as disobedient, that it took me a dozen years to do my covenants @ the Las Vegas temple of our Lord. I have advanced and understood heavenly father‘s plan of salvation! I do not have as much turmoil & have the opportunity to help construct the anchorage Alaska temple. Received a call from President Foust as a missionary to help construct the temple. I told him the threefolds of the church are: wash, starch, and iron. Little humor there folks. What better way to perfect as saints then in a temple. Afterwords President Hinckley comes to dedicate the Temple my wife and some of our older children made the cover of Ensign magazine While I was inside of it at heavenly father’s front room. There were 10 maybe 12 people in there and President Hinckley comes around to shake hands. He gets to me with whiskers on my face and says whom are you. You while I was inside of it at heavenly father’s front room. There were 10 maybe 12 people in there and President Hinckley comes around to shake hands. He gets to me with whiskers on my face and says whom are you? I am elder Ronald Hiler. Yes we know of you brother Hiler. A job well done. I thought I must’ve done something really bad for them to know of me. More humor there folks. I responded I’m trying to have the Porter Rockwell look. A small laugh and he moved on. In closing I must say had it not been for my loving wife Kitty and the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints I would not be upon this earth. We must remember spiritual progression makes a major difference!
Jayme Bates So awesome! We are so happy for you :) We'd love to hear your story, if you want to share it via Instagram DM. Either way, congrats to you on your new journey!
Brother Kwaku, u r a member of, the TRUE CHURCH, THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS. U r blessed and continue to be blessed, for time and all eternity.
LOL. all you cults keep making the same claim. I wonder what the Catholics/Jws think. The true church are those faithful to Christ Jesus alone. And he know his sheep. No man made institution is the true church
@WC LOL. I believe I am taking to a brainwashed person here. You sound like someone in a cult. Just like many others who have left. I pray that kne day tour eyes will be clear and you will see the truth of the lord Jesus christ. Because the reality is you are in bondage. You do not even know the scriptures. Heavenly parents??? That's no where in the Bible. We have an heavenly father who sent his Son to die for you. Both of them are not separate. They are both together God. They have existed for all eternity, they have no wives. Any heavenly mother you worship is a man made godess. The one true church is made up of people. There is no LDS in scriptures. They tell you this to fool you so you can't leave. The LDS was invented in the 1800s meanwhile christ and his apostles had a church in the 1st Century AD. if you are really smart and want to know the truth. Read church history, MOST ESPECIALLY READ THE SCRIPTURES(BIBLE) READ HOW THE LDS WAS FOUNDED AND THE TROUBLES OF THE FALSE PROPHET JOSEPH SMITH. You will realize that you are in error. I know they might have also told you any body who says this to you is false. But at least I know you are not a robot. You are a human being find the truth for yourself.
@WC What, my goodness I weep for you. This here proves how toxic your cult is. Now I truly Beleive that the LDS is a cult. So you mean I'm in sin because I'm not part of the LDS. Is that what you were told? I feel for you. How can you be rid of error when you are told you can't be saved from outside the church. It's a tool to keep you trapped brother. I would suggest you watch videos of ex mormons and how they were free. The fact that you keep responding to me and in caps shows my words are fighting something in you bit your brainwashing is rejecting it. Deep down you know the truth. I will post the scripture for you hopefully it helps you. My heart actually bleeds for you that you are in such deception. Normally some of your members say that anyone in any church is ok but im happy at lesst you are honest. Because that is what you are taught. See this Romans 10:9 "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." That is how you are saved, that is true repentance. Repentance has nothing to do with the LDS or Joseph Smith. Or heavenly mothers or infinite God's. Just Jesus Christ alone. All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God but we are freely redeemed in christ Jesus alone. Please don't be fooled. I really hope you read your Bible and see the truth in it and how it differs from what you are taught and what you practice in your church. I know you will not automatically leave bit I hope you have something to think about and that a seed has been sown. Remember I am not preaching that you join my church or organization. I am preaching so that you may find the true christ.
In1954, in a sermon to BYU students Apostle Mark E Peterson said "If a Negro is faithful all his days he can enter the Celestial Kingdom. *He will go there as a servant*. Is that what you want Kwaku? To be a servant?
Mark 10: 44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. 45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Thank you! And never stop making these videos. You have me laughing hysterically and feeling that I am not alone in taking over a year to convert. Your bring to life I think what many or most go through between “feeling it” and trying to explain it to yourself and then to friends and family. You are so honest and hilarious that I am sharing this video with some friends and family because it says it better than I can.
Wow, such an amazing testimony, Kwaku! You have a stronger base than some of us who were born into or were under the age of 8 years old ever have! Your story is a bit similar to my Dad's conversion, except that he just knew that the restored church will come or is somewhere in another land! When he heard the magic words, "This is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ," he just was ecstatic and wanted to be baptized right then and there! But you and I know that he needed to take the missionary lessons, come to church first, and voila! My Mom was so opposed to it until 4 months later she too was baptized with one of my sisters! All four of my living siblings were baptized at different times/years, my Dad never forced any of us to be baptized, except for me which was kind of a default that when you're 8 you will be baptized...you know all these things but just like any other "candidate" for baptism, I was also interviewed by a member of the bishopric because one of my brothers was the branch president and he didn't feel like it was fair for him to interview his own sister! To each his own, really! But, yes, your testimony is so great and your conversion was not so easy! Thank God for the leaders of the Apache Native Tribe! May we all press forward and endure to the end!
OK, Kwaku, it is now 3 years after you posted this....where are you now, spiritually? Never stop progressing, brother, it gets better and better the more you learn and believe.
@@SaintsUnscripted I converted about a year ago. I recently received my Melchizedek priesthood and will be gey my temple endowments next month. I am a former porn addict, male prostitute and homosexual. I was also involved in the occult. I was so depressed one day as I held my pistol to my head Holy Spirit spoke to me with great love yet with a great urgency " DON'T DO IT!!" I told God if HE truly loved me to prove it. A few days later two missinaries came to my door and I invited them in. I knew that I knew what they told me is true after I prayed on it. Converting to the church was the best decision I ever made!!!!
@@iowaguy6470 it’s so enlightening to hear people being saved from god when they were at their lowest, it’s been hard for me to accept god, jesus and the holy spirit into my life, especially because i’m bisexual and never had one of those big waking up calls where the person would communicate with god and/or the holy spirit. i hope to get baptised into the LDS church as soon as my lessons with the missionaries are over. bless you for holding on and accepting the gospel in to your life ❤️❤️
Thanks for the story! I learned about the restored gospel almost a year ago. My parents won't allow me to join, and sometimes it's difficult to stay motivated & keep praying and studying scripture. It's so inspiring to see stories like yours. Thanks for making this video! It's great!
God doesn't hate like so many people that like to comment against Mormons and blacks and whoever they decide to hate on. They just have too much hate in them. God is loving, merciful and Good--unlike some. Those that hate will receive the same unto themselves. That is the saddest existence. On another note: I love hearing conversion stories. My parents joined the church so I was born in it and I became converted when I was a teenager. It's interesting that you said there are so many rules. I see them as guidelines on how God lives that help us to become more like him. He gives the laws and He lives the laws and wants us to learn those same laws. It's all about self control right? That takes time to develop. Thanks for your testimony!
Thank you for sharing. I laughed out loud a few times. Love the ideas of putting questions on a shelf and keep searching and finding and we can come back to the question and find that it makes sense.
I'm a recent convert. I came to know the BOM was true when reading and praying and I was visited by the Holy Spirit and knew it was Him. That changed me and even more so after my baptism and confirmation. Now I'm being ordained a priest and couldn't be more excited. My story is longer but suffice it to say that I'm 41 and feel like a new person. God bless my LDS brethren.
Candersson. You are free to prove it if you want. I was a devout Mormon for 50+ years. I think I know a thing or two about the LDS take on God. Joseph Smith SAW GOD (allegedly), and he said not one word about the beings he saw (God and Jesus) as being spirits or A spirit. All Joseph said he saw were beings of "flesh and bone". Do I need to prove it to you? If God is the Creator, he can choose to "appear" as anything he chooses, be it a spirit, a dove, a burning bush or a talking donkey. Satan appeared to Eve as a talking snake. If Satan can do that, why is it unreasonable to assume that God can appear as anything he chooses?
Keto. I'd be willing to bet that there are many more Muslims who will claim that "spirits" confirmed for them, the truth of the Koran, than there are Mormons making similar claims. I know Catholics that claim The Virgin Mary confirmed for them the Bible is God's word and that the Pope is God's mouthpiece on Earth. Their claims are just as invalid as yours. But, hey! I'm happy that YOU'RE happy! I'm happier than I've ever been and I quit being LDS 20 years ago, and life just get's better and better.
Go ahead and believe what you want but promise me if you have children you won't force them to be Mormons. Remember, your parents allowed you to choose your path so show that same respect to your children.
@Timothy Coll Well that is unfortunate. Where do they live if I might ask? I personally have found many of the faults attributed to the LDS Church are actually the reflection of certain regional cultures.
@Timothy Coll Well, except for my time in the MTC, I've never been to Utah. I have heard stories about how weird the cultural is there. Remember, the majority of LDS members live outside the US, and a majority of those who do live in the US live outside of Utah. So the LDS in Utah are a minority of the whole Church. I have never heard of anyone shunning ex-members outside of Utah. Indeed Utah transplants often remark on how friendly and open the ward is when they move here, and that has been true of every ward I have ever belonged to. My sister, who is an academic sociologist, thinks that a recently published study on regional cultural differences helps explain. Utah, as a regional culture independent of LDS membership has been identified as having a strong persecution complex. Institutionally the culture seems be that of being targeted for being different. This becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy as many Utahians only seem to truly trust close family, and take separations within that family as a close attack. This is not limited to religious affiliation either, there has been research on the effect of changing political parties from that of one's parents, and Utah is the state wherein families are most likely to shun the dissenting member. Practically every family in my ward is either part member or has someone who has left. Makes no difference to how anyone gets treated. We have even had non-members give opening and closing prayers at relatives baptisms, which some Utah transplants were sure was against "the rules". It isn't. Just like white shirts isn't a real thing. It is apparently an Utah culture issue. I really do not understand why you think the LDS Church would care enough to issue a death threat, that sounds a little conspiracy theory to me.
Kwaku with his signature post it notes and sugar packet thing 😂 . Thank you for sharing your story bro! I am a convert as well (grew up baptist and then searched for a while) I love to hear about peoples conversion stories and how they grew into the gospel! You guys are doing an awesome thing. Keep it up!
I was inspired by your story. Thank you for sharing it with us. Bold and brave❤️. Just like the bold and brave people I’m reading about in my studies each week. Thank you!
1:24 “I just didn’t believe God would send some to hell” God doesn’t send anyone to hell they send themselves there by rejecting his Gospel and His Son.
Sounds like a shitty god. So petty if someone doesn't want to be in this weird relationship they sent to eternal torture. Good thing this is all not real.
Yes we did. At the time that we removed the thumbnails, Kwaku had started a new TH-cam channel that contradicted our messaging so we had to differentiate between our channel and theirs since we were receiving messages from people concerned about the videos coming from the same source. We didn't remove any of his videos. We love Kwaku. We just had to change the thumbnails so that they wouldn't be confused with his channel (which has since been dismantled due to controversy).
Mmm interesting to be honest if you don't believe what your pastor is preaching just look into the bible and you'll see if what he's preaching contradicts the scripture or not 😁
Same is true with me. As a Methodist growing up in the South, we'd go to church, hear all about the trinty in the sermon, then at 2 p.m. we'd have dinner and take potshots at what we'd heard the preacher talk about. He could blabber all he wanted about how water could be ice, liquid and steam at varying times, but we weren't buying it. Or about a feller who could be a son to his father, a father to his son and a husband to his wife, all at the same time, but who was _his_ father, and who was _his_ son, and who was _his_ wife? Is he _sure_ he wanted to go down that road? No, I reckon not! Before a person could be a preacher, he had to go to theological school and get a piece of paper. But many returned LDS missionaries knew a whole lot more than that feller with the paper on his wall!
I don't know what I'd do without the gospel. I have never had an experience that shattered my faith, and I am so grateful for that. Some day, I want to be a Sister Missionary.
Without Jesus, you would probably let your natural curiosity drive a systematic exploration of reality which would leave you with the conclusion that religion is just another form of political bullshit... Fortunately, Jesus has saved you from such a horrific fate.
thank you so much for sharing this! I am currently in the same situation, born and raised in a baptist church, never questioned anything until I got older. I stopped going to youth on Wednesday nights when I was in middle school because I knew a lot of kids there and they never acted like a christian outside of church and that just didn't sit well with me. Long story short the LDS church has been in the back of my mind for a few years now, I've actually attended a few services and loved it, its just difficult to go because of my parents being strong baptists. Anyways, its nice to be able to see that someone else has had the SAME feelings as me. Thank you Kwaku!
You know, I get where you are coming from! I didn't have great examples around me growing up either. When Christ asked Peter who he thought Christ was, he answered "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." He came to find this through the Holy Spirit. He developed a testimony outside of the miracles he had seen Christ carry out. No matter what you see, no matter what other people say or do. The only thing that matters is what the Spirit of God confirms and teaches you. That is why in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we invite all to pray to Heavenly Father, to go to Him with all of your questions, because He is the source of all truth and light. Others will say go to the Bible, but I would say, study the Bible and confirm the truths you find with God through prayer.
@@monocuco818 That is completely backwards. We don't confirm what we read in scripture through prayer, we test the spirits and what we believe the spirit is telling us by reading scripture! Our hearts are deceitful! We can have a feeling after praying that may be of God, may not be, the way we know is by testing it with God's word! His word is the truth! That has to be our standard for truth always! Yes we should always be in prayer and asking for truth but we need to trust the Word of God for our truth! We interpret scripture through scripture not simply through prayer or our feelings about it.
@@claireashley427 You have good points but overall are wrong. How can you test your interpretation of the Bible with the Bible? there has to be some overarching authority that teaches you the true meaning of the scriptures, and that overarching authority is God. Go ahead, test the spirits and scriptures this is good. But these things must be confirmed from God or you will make mistakes. Satan may be able to transform unto an angel of light, but he will still teach you things contrary to the gospel of Christ, which means he cannot be the source of light, truth and anything good. He can't cause your bosom to burn and for you to feel real happiness. Read the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Test those things that you read, and confirm them with God. If you don't think you can confirm those things with God, you don't know the Bible, and you don't know who your Father in Heaven is.
@@monocuco818 Absolutely he will teach you things contrary to the gospel! That's exactly my point! The book of mormon contradicts the Bible which is the word of God. I understand that you pray and feel a burning in your bosom and that you feel happiness and attribute that to the Holy Spirit, but when it comes down to it, our hearts and feeling are deceitful. The word of God isn't! As you said, satan himself can appear as an angel of light, he is all about deception! How do you know that the burning you feel isn't a false feeling? We can't trust our feelings! We can only trust the word of God. And if the Holy Spirit indeed speaks to us it WILL be confirmed by the word of God otherwise it isn't true! We should seek truth always correct? Wouldn't you want to know if you were following a false Christ? A Christ who can't save? I speak only out of sincere love for you and for anyone following a false gospel. And yes, the way we interpret scripture with scripture is by matching up passages and putting them against eachother. If Paul says one thing that sounds like it means something in particular but later completely contradicts himself, that first thing he said obviously didn't mean what we thought it did. So we absolutely do need to interpret scripture in light of other scriptures. That is very important, and understanding the true context of the passage as well! Things can be taken out of contexted or proof texted but if it contradicts something else in scripture it is clearly not being understood properly. Does that make sense? My concern is that the Mormon church contradicts scripture in very important aspects. Not things that don't matter or that we just won't know until we get to Heaven, but things we can plainly know by reading the word of God! Again I mean no Ill will towards you and wouldn't take the time out of my day to comment these things if I didn't truly believe that by doing so I am speaking the truth and leading you to the word of God which is truth.
As a black man, don't you know you were an abomination in their faith according to the original gospel of their prophet? ...Jesus was a brother of Lusfer ...really??? A gospel that is subject to change can be changed by anyone!
Michael Rowzee Lucifer is and angels not a human, we are made spirit and flesh so we have a different nature. Jesus is GOD and Lucifer is just creation. We are made brothers and sisters of Jesus through baptism and no angel had the opportunity to do so
@@yourfriendmike4168 that's not what Deno Wa said. They were criticizing Jesus being a brother to a fallen angel. Of course God made his angels, including Lucifer. But, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word, Jesus, was not created as Lucifer was created. They are not brothers nor are they on some sort of equal level.
I almost peed myself laughing, at 8:50 ! "Hmm..anyway.." I've always thought it is so awesome. There are Hopi stories and south American tribal histories of Jesus (aka "Great Creator") visiting and ministering among them! I love this so much! I'm becoming a bit more brave with the idea of sharing my experience and conversion story!
I see so many anti-Mormon videos online. I mean people who claim to be former members who attack and try to find anything little thing out and twist it. It's so nice to see a positive video and glad you found your path!
You cannot twist hard cold facts. Did Joseph Smith marry over 34 woman? Yes. Did he lie about it for over 10 years. Yes. Was one of his wives 14? Yes. Did Joseph Smith marry other faithful men's wives? Yes. The list goes on and on. Often times I find people like you that don't really care about truth... You only care about what you want to be truth.
One thing you missed is that man is not perfect, im not perfect, you're not perfect, we all aren't, not even joseph or brigham, we don' t worship the prophets, we worship God, even then, back in that day, that was normal, it just the end of the great apostosy, so humanity was confused, i think it was a great time as ever for the church to be restored at that time.
Dave. "Twist it"?? A couple of years ago LDS leaders came out with a proclamation, stating that any member that came out as gay (LGBT), they were to be automatically excommunicated. Included in that same proclamation, it stated that ALL CHILDREN of gay/lesbian couples could not be baptized, blessed or participate in LDS functions until they were 18 years old...and THEN it was required of them to denounce their parents and their lifestyle before they could be accepted fully as members. The LDS church claims to be led by Jesus himself---the same guy that said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me." I don't recall there being any exceptions in his plea. SO! I'm as "anti" LDS as God makes em! How did I "twist" that little bit of info?
Coolblu. Jesus HIMSELF promised Peter that there would be no apostasy--that the gates of hell would not prevail against it (his church). Two major possibilities here. Either Jesus LIED to Peter, knowing his church would fall, OR... His church DID NOT fall, but Christ's message of salvation continued on for nearly 2000 years, and the "gates of hell" DID NOT prevail. Which is it?
Coolblubird. YOU, personally, may not "worship" LDS prophets, but some of your prophets have instructed members to "FOLLOW THE PROPHET". You even have a song instructing CHILDREN to do the same. If I'm not mistaken, JESUS' instructions to ALL PEOPLE was to "follow HIM and no one else"!!---which would preclude following ANY prophet or ANY other HUMAN! How about answering gonefishin's question (above) about Jesus' promise to Peter, that the gates of hell would never prevail against Christ's church...yet MOrmonism claims the gates of hell DID PREVAIL (The Great Apostasy)! INQUIRING MINDS WOULD LIKE TO KNOW...
I love your conversion story. I wish I could share mine publicly someday. I am happy to know that you found the wonderful Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. You Crack me up, yet touched my heart. I can relate to parts of your story.
Love this video man,, I’ve had those same questions before. I truly love and believe in the Plan of Salvation. This is such a beautiful story,, could really feel the spirit during it. Made me cry (: God does work in mysterious ways, I didn’t believe in Mormonism for the longest time, but it eventually made its way back into my life multiple times. And as much as I didn’t want to believe, it had finally hit me. (Moroni 10:29) And I can testify that Heavenly Father is our God, that Jesus is the Christ, and Joseph Smith restored Christianity through Heavenly Father. And I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Jesus is the Christ, yes, but he is also God, the one and only God, God the son, one of three personages of the trinity of God, God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The beliefs of mormon contradict scripture. How do you reconcile that? The bible doesnt teach a plurality of God's, it also does not teach that Jesus was created but that he created ALL.
@@claireashley427 LDS does teach that Jesus was the Old Testament Jehovah who created the Earth. We do not teach that Jesus was a created being, so I thinking you are confusing someting.
@Timothy Coll I believe you confusing things. In LDS Doctrine we do indeed believe that there are three members in the Godhead, God the Eternal Father mostly common called Elohim in the Old Testament, Jesus Christ, known as Jehovah in the Old Testament, and the Holy Spirit for whom we do not have a revealed name. We do believe that Jesus was born into mortality, and is the literal begotten Son of God, but that He existed as a Spirit member of the Godhead before his birth, much as the Holy Ghost is now. So while we believe He was born of Mary, that does not make Him a created being in the way that doctrine has been explained to me.
@Timothy Coll Well if I haven't been indoctrinated after being a member for fifty years, serving a mission, attending the temple regularly for most it, it isn't going to happen now. The official missionary discussion version of the Godhead as taught by the LDS Church, is yes three individual members of the Godhead. Three people, two of which currently have bodies, one which does not. Jesus was the spirit known as Jehovah, when He did not have a body, but gained one after being born to Mary. The Hebrew word used in Genesis is Elohim. Now most Christians seem to think Elohim and Jehovah are two different names for God. In LDS theology Elohim is God the Eternal Father, whom we believe has a perfect body, and Jehovah is the pre-mortal Jesus Christ. English Bibles are funny as they often do not make it clear which Hebrew word for God is being used. Mostly LORD all caps is for Jehovah, but not all translators are clear on the issue.
I'm glad you found a church you like and that helps you. I'm less pleased at your dismissal of other churches. I am a Protestant pastor who preaches because the Spirit called me to that ministry and my fellow church members sensed the reality of it. That testimony is no less real than yours. I suggest you focus on the good your Church does and leave other ones alone. Otherwise you're not much better than the assortment of folks that go out of their way to trash your faith.
@@jonathanettinger6970 Basic to your reply is the conviction that the LDS has a lock on the truth. Rather than get into a pointless argument about that, I would simply point out that the vast majority of the world’s 2.4 billion Christians believe that their denomination is true. If you think people go to other churches simply because of personal preference you should sit down with someone from an evangelical or Pentecostal church and listen to their stories. My point is that one can hold to one’s own convictions without disparaging those of others. I would suggest you read “The Cross and the Switchblade” by David Wilkerson to see how powerfully and truly God is working in the Assemblies of God. (Interestingly, Elder Holland is good friends with their General President.)
@@davidstout6051 When you say "lock on truth", what do you mean? I'd certainly hope that people believe the church they attend is the correct, true church, otherwise they're setting aside truth in favor of something else. Yes, the position of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that we are the true church, the church of actual authority and direction from God, but that's not the same as thinking "we have all the truth, no one else has any". In fact, 1. We definitely DON'T have all of the truth. At the least, there is much truth God has yet to reveal. 2. It would be patently absurd to say no one else has *any* truth. But that word, truth, has been contorted beyond imagination. If you believe something is the truth, it's your belief, but that doesn't mean it actually IS truth. Likewise, there is much truth of our existence which none but God know. So, when I say "searching for truth", the truth you seek should 1. Claim to be true. and 2. Be able to back up that claim, or at least make an argument for it. A person attending denomination X may wholeheartedly believe that the doctrines they follow there are the truth, but if that church itself doesn't claim to BE the true church, doesn't claim to have authority to speak for God, then we're left with sincere people putting time and trust into an organization of its own making. I've heard the arguments. I know what Rome claims. I know what the Orthodox claim. I have yet to see many others claim much at all beyond "we're all Christians, the people are the church, just believe these specific things", etc. That said, no, we shouldn't disparage others or their beliefs. Christ wouldn't. But what seems disparaging to you may not be so to me. If we're going to discuss a given topic, then we examine the claims of it, all the parts which make it, and this may include dismissing another's beliefs in the course of refuting their claims. When speaking from personal experience, one is free to point out their previous beliefs, beliefs still held by others, and to address issues of why one no longer believes them. If I used to believe X but don't anymore and I think X makes no sense, I'm going to say X makes no sense and explain my position. A discussion of truth absolutely CANNOT be a place to say all views are equally valid when, by definition, they aren't. Anything more is simply a matter of one's own personality and how they go about things and why. We don't need lengthy tirades tearing into each other, but we shouldn't pull punches just to make sure everyone feels validated either.
Thank you for your testimony. There is so much meanness towards us that is not called for. I've come across many hateful people on TH-cam. I'm waiting on surgery so I've had a bit of time to spare. I'm totally flabbergasted at the flak. I live in Australia and have been a member for well over 40 years. MORMONISM is a strange word to me quite honestly and I have always used our proper name. May your exuberance stay with you as you gain more knowledge.
Thank You Brother for sharing your wonderful testimony story ....... I love this Wonderful Church........I also love the answers to questions that this Church has that make sense to the Mind and sense to the Heart and Spirit.
I was raised in Cypress, Texas as well and that is not an easy place to be in black person, especially in 1974 or 1980 when I was there. It was probably a little better by the time Kwaku grew up there. I went to the church right off of Jones road and Cypress North Houston. They were good people there in the church. Nice job on your testimony! I recognize all of the key elements are there, including feelings and testimony humbly sight for wisdom from heavenly father.
William Frank shepherd was the man who got my gears a turning when he asked me,” hey boy do you realize that families can be together forever?” That was in 1986. I let our people know as well had it not been for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and my loving wife Kitty I would not be upon this earth! I had to wait to get a full measure of the gospel and did our endowments on 5/5/95! I now have the fullness of the gospel which I will share with every individual who wants to know.
Drummer Dog Talk about your beliefs and verify them with the teachings of the prophets and apostles. You will begin to see the validation for yourself just as Kwaku shared in his conversion. How do you expect these things to be manifested to you? On a silver platter? It doesn’t work that way. Be patient and sincere and willing to consider what you currently are not willing to consider. Avoid any doctrine that tries to keep you from considering what you have never before considered. It is the doctrine of Satan to shut things up or to reject unfamiliar concepts.
@@berkeyfamily9828 I mean, I'm always open to believing whatever if there's enough evidence. However, if God wanted me to believe in him why not just come and hang with me? Or if he can't do that do anything that can't be done naturally that I can observe. Last time someone tried to convert me they just got mad that "I wasn't listening" when instead I was just unconvinced. :/
Drummer Dog Have you considered the scriptures? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob covenanted with Abraham that through his posterity along Jacob’s (his grandson’s) children all the generations of the Earth would be blessed. God’s plan is for his covenant people through this line to represent him and be the means of the people of this Earth to learn of the plan God has for mankind. Is your question about why God does not “hang” with you addressed? I can’t tell you why God chose to have a covenant people to represent him, but I can think of many reasons. Starting with the fact that God is a god of order. His order is established through having a covenant people. Does this help you?
@@berkeyfamily9828 not really. I'm not sure I understand all the words you used to be honest, but I think God is bad at trying to convince people. If I had the chance to govern over a people however I wanted, I wouldn't convince them I existed the same way many fake gods did. Not only that, I wouldn't want anyone to worship me. I can't think of anyone who wants to be worshipped (aside from in certain... kinkier ways).
Okay, I have an honest question. What about Christians who have a testimony that the Mormon Church is not true, or even a testimony that say, I don't know... the Catholic Church is true? Why is the Holy Spirit leading people on different paths if there's one true church? Shouldn't we also rely on reasoning and evidence in addition to testimony?
yes we should. there could be many reasons why others feel their Church is True. Doesn't mean that the LDS one isn't. for example throughout history there have been many good people that aren't mormon, God uses everyone he can, not just mormons.
Good question. I have wonder that myself. I certainly think you should take evidence into consideration when making a decision about which church you should join.
Fay Kaelin John 3--5.......tells how to get into the Kingdom Of God.....many people lived and died without even hearing Jesus Christ! The true church will teach salvation for these people......1st Corinthians 15--29.....this church will fill the earth....
This is the truth. I had one guy ask me if he could prove the Church wasn't true, would I leave? I said yes, but he has failed to reach the burden of proof
I read somewhere that one of the 14 fundamental beliefs of Mormonism is that _truth is determined by feelings_. Lisa For Truth will most likely feel unpleasant from reading that she has been duped by Mormonism, and since falsehoods create bad feelings according to Mormon belief, Lisa For Truth will know that your comment must be a lie. Lisa For Truth knows for a fact she is not worshiping an idol created by a polygamous sex addict, because when she prays about whether Joseph Smith pretended he could talk to god because he kept getting caught sleeping with other men's wives, she will feel bad, and thus she will know for a fact - and the truth is indeed - that Joseph Smith is not a nasty sex addict. Praying about Joseph Smith sleeping with underage and married women makes Lisa For Truth feel very very uncomfortable, and Lisa For Truth will know by her discomfort that what she is praying about is a lie, and therefore not the truth.
Well, i know that I am right and that Joseph Smith is not a true prophet, because God obviously wants us to be happy - and I feel quite happy about not submitting to the only prophet of God who is a massive serial-adulterer polygamist. I know that God wants us to do what is right, and therefore I know that God isn't lying to me when I feel good about reading an article on the official LDS website that puts careful estimates of Joseph Smiths number of wives "between 30 and 40", "a number of women who were already married" (_ www.lds.org/topics/plural-marriage-in-kirtland-and-nauvoo?lang=eng#24 _). I don't feel good when I'm told that I am wrong, and therefore I know that what I am saying is true because I felt good about what I was saying, and I know that when I feel good God isn't lying to me. Only Satan would want me to feel bad, while God loves us all and wants us all to be happy. Satan must have influenced the negativity in your comment because Satan doesn't want you to be happy and doesn't want you to do what is right. Regarding the 14 beliefs - there are 13 Mormon Articles of Faith, but the 14th is yet to be found in the future colonies of Mars. God told this to me once. If Jesus visited prophets on one planet, why wouldn't he visit prophets on another planet?
Wow how odd... Your story is just like mine, but in reverse. I grew up in the lds faith and at the age of 18 I started having questions. I would talk to teachers, missionaries, even the bishop and their answers were like "well I don't know." Why does your faith dwindle? "Those questions are not important." I spent 6 years giving the church, with new missionaries and teachers a chance to help me understand. I heard about the Harvest Church and decided to attend . I found my answer, and no one said my questions were not important.
I’ve never had anyone in the church tell me my questions or concerns weren’t important. Even when I stopped having a belief that there even was a god for a short time. Sorry you went through that, but it’s not the norm. Although I did start to think people thought I was dumb for not believing in God… which could have come from my whole attitude changing negatively for that time. Welp, I hope all is all with you.
I like your Conversion Story mine was Simular as my late 20's I lived in an area with different Sectors. I visited beyond my Catholic. Both at my work at a Nursing home and home I engaged in Visiting other places but it wasn't until I moved back to my home Jehovah's I let in and listened to were Femails but Mormon Missionaries were young cute Men...I was more Curious and had not had my daughter Baptized yet and hesitated on my own Catholic Religion. My daughter than was around 8 years old.... I was given a Book of Mormon and that night when asked to pray about had an overwhelming sense of the truth and I had to join...
Kwaku El personal experience and close friends and family and almost every1 i meet including those who used to me elders. Its impossible to know the whole world. But i know enough to keep me away i was even baptised in there ( which i never got what the dead have to do with the living but hey to each their own) there so i know what i need to know for myself and discerned for myself . Am guessing youv done your endowments rights? Anyway Thank Yeshua for guidance in my life i made the right choice for me. Shalom
So you claimed all Mormons are racist, and now claim that you don't know them all. Which is it? I'll add that the right choice for you, and the right choice are not synonymous with one another. The LDS Church is God's true church on Earth, if you've left to join another church, that's your doing. However, it would be wise not to attack the Saints of God or to leave nasty comments, to make yourself feel better.
That was in fact the thing that never set well with me either. Later after my witness of the Book for a Mormon down the road, I discovered I have a spirit that recognizes truth. So to me when someone feels like God cannot just be this big bad mean guy who throws people into hell for never hearing the gospel or having the wrong religion. You probably have a spirit that recognizes truth. The holy ghost can teach you and help you find truth. And when you find it man is it so sweet and peaceful!!!
Galatians 1:8 - “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!” 2 Corinthians 11:3 - “But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” Revelation is the final Scripture.
Scripture is not what the prophets and apostles preached. It is a representation of it, and unless the scripture you use has been published by the prophets and apostles then you do not have the message of the prophets and apostles described in the passage that you think Paul wrote to the Corinthian saints.
Decides the church is true... "We immediately go to Panera..." haha I don't know why that just kills me hah. Joking aside, I've been investigating the church on my own for about 4 years now. I honestly feel like I believe a lot of what the church believes, but I have had an issue with the topics of women's rights and LGBT rights. I've been baptized as a Christian for a year now and have been attending church for a couple of years- so these are not new topics for me to be struggling with. I feel as though I would not be aligning with the churches beliefs if I joined, but I do feel the spirit when I read the Book of Mormon. I also struggle with having evidence to support my beliefs. I feel as though there's just a lot more to support the Bible. I totally related with your difficulty telling friends and family- some of my friends still don't know I am Christian after a couple years now. I still consider myself quite liberal, it's a fine line to walk. Sometimes difficult to manage.
Danika let me start off by saying, I am a a liberal as well. Fun fact, I'm in the Presidency for BYU College Democrats! I am huge on lgbtq+ fairness and women's equality. When it comes to immigration, the environment, and much of those causes, our Church is very progressive. I'd love for you to send 3 Mormons an email about those topics and I can respond to it!
Danika I am an LDS member and as a woman do not feel opressed, do not feel the need to be a Priesthood holder, do not have an urge to bless the sacrament. I didn't grow up LDS either. I joined the church as an adult about 8 years ago. I was still serving in the Marine Corps at the time. There is nothing about this church that makes me feel inferior. Women and Men both have a lot of responsibilities within the church. Women also perform ordinances in the Temple that Men holding the priesthood hold. This weekend we have what we call General Conference where our church speaks to us about faith and gives us Guidance. You can watch it on LDS.org or watch it on TH-cam through The Mormon Channel. There was a conference last weekend just for women. You should check it out! :)
Danika Hello. As a Mormon turned Christian I'm telling you from my heart that knowing Jesus of the Bible is all you need. The LDS theology is NOT biblical, truly. Jesus is not a created Being, we all didn't live in heaven before we were born, we can't become Gods, Jesus is our High Priest (and the last high priest) who made a way for us to live with God. Bizarre temple work for yourself and the dead is not Biblical. And really, please read the Topical Church Essays on lds dot org to learn more of our history that the missionaries don't teach. The LDS have gotten really good at making worshipping God the same as serving the church. You can only please God when you dedicate all your time, talent, money, all that God has blessed you with and all he will bless you with to the church. This is an actual covenant you make in the temple. Just please stay with Christianity. it's the right choice. :)
Baptism is not a "Christian" thing. Yes. baptism is important and the scripture explains why. It id more than a symbolism it is the burial of the old self so the new Christ Self cam come into your body and take over your life. People do not teach the importance of Baptism any more.
warioman91 it is so crazy, do you wonder why they say, just don't get into Danny conversation or any interactions? Because, poor God is trying his hardest to tell you HEY CHILD OF MINE PLEASE, PLEASE HEAR ME, ITS ME, ITS THE TRUTH! He just wants you , to feel it, they ( ant-Mormons) are terrified that you will have the same experience that all coverts have, a True physical, experience, that no other Faith can provide! It's like I become converted, over and over and over, when I hear these phenomenal conversion stories, please I beg you, give it a chance, if it really is true, think what a difference it will make in your life, I can see now that what these (ant-Mormons ) are telling you that if u get the feeling that even the Bible talks about, (a warmth , a true physical pressure in the atmosphere of knowing, you will only know it when u feel it) they say "don't trust it!, that is the only way God has of communicating it! When u have itu can't communicate it in words, (because it is Gods communication, we don't know the words any more, but God does!! Just trust yourself when u feel it, it really is God, think how your life will be when u can feel this feeling, ALL THE TIME!!!! It's God communicating to u through his servant and co-worker, the HOLY GHOSt!
haha I had the same situation. I was praying if the Book of Mormon is true and the next day Mormon missionaries came to my house. I was like: "Omg what did just happen ?? HOW??" haha that was amazing
So if someone from the Church of Satan had come to your door instead would you have joined them? It seems you are projecting your expectations and hopes for greater meaning and trying to read signs in your day to day live in your own spiritual development. That's kind of reaching a bit and not a good example of critical thinking.
Mormons encourage members or investigators to look for the smallest folly as evidence of God answering their prayer. This is the mode they use to convince recent converts that they have a testimony. I've seen more senior members exaggerate stories to make recent converts believe. I almost laughed aloud when a female member from another ward bore her testimony about the blessings she received from paying her tithes during a stake conference broadcast . She said that after paying tithes a large sum of money appeared in her bank account, and the bank personnel could not say where it came from also .What a load of crap!!!
I converted 2 years ago when I was 16. My step Dad was raised in the church but became inactive so I never had any knowledge of the Church. I grew up vaguely identifying as a Christian but I noticed many holes, unanswered questions and lack of evidence and logic behind the teachings. I didn’t appreciate or agree that God damned those who had no knowledge of the gospel and that babies who died before baptism were damned also. The church came to my attention when I had a crush on a boy hahaha I know I know..... we can relate on that. He happened to be a convert. I began to research and ponder the faith. I first came across the TH-cam channel: “what Mormons believe”. It’s a really cool channel which answered many misconceptions about the church. I started reading the scriptures and most prominently the Book of Mormon. I felt an overwhelming sense of love, comfort, peace and most of all truth. I started to visit my ward which my Nana and aunties went to and started loving the environment and the sense of community. My Nana then mentioned how proud she was of me that I was investigating the church and for some reason the topic of Missionary work came up. After having this conversation with her I went home to speak with my parents about the church and notably about missionary work and how I found it intriguing. Literally during that conversation we heard a knock at the door. Who was it??? The missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I invited them in and mentioned the coincidence of them entering and I could tell they were very happy they met me. I accepted lessons from them and they came to see me every week and taught each lesson step by step. I still remember how powerful the spirit was when I’d learn about the teachings of the gospel. It was so amazing though the miracles I was experiencing leading up to my baptism and I can’t even describe how I was feeling. When I was baptised it was the happiest moment in my life. I couldn’t stop smiling when I left the water. I’ve dealt with a lot of trials even after my baptism and even contemplating leaving the church due to doubts especially when I’d get bible bashed when visiting a baptist church. It was videos like Dusty’s, prayer and a good friendship group which really supported me and now I’m prepping for a mission. Sounds entirely cringe and cheesy but I am very proud to be a Mormon.
In other words he had some coincidences and "feelings" so he said I'll go join this church. Islamists have "feelings" that say to kill those who do not join because they are infidels Seventh-day Adventists "feel" that their "prophetess" is correct so they "feel" their church is the latter-day church Proverbs 3:5&6 essentially say to not rely on feelings---hope this man finds the REAL Jesus
Even better, in Galatians Paul says any gospel that is contrary to the original should go to hell. So even if Kwaku did see an angel, if that angel preached a different gospel, you know it's an angel of Satan. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8 ESV
You very deliberately distorted what he said in a very dishonest attempt to discredit him. If you actually had a point you wouldn't need to resort to dishonesty to get your point across.
I LOVE THIS! I’m a recent convert myself going thru my junior year of high school and I have not felt anything more real than this. I completely felt welcomed and loved and i couldn’t be happier. God bless you in so many more ways! ❤️
feelings < history.. check out the romans, history of their expansion conquer and gods, im a former xtian conversion from hs and now skeptic.. sorry to comment!!! lol i was looking up how to pronounce kwaku for other reason and sticking around to listenin to testimony.. reading comments.. again sorry for negative.. peace !
@@chrissullivan8740 lol.. sorry for the scrambled message
Coverts should definitely read the CES letter. Just google "CES letter"
@@Cyber_Cowboy Oh please. the CES letter has already been disproven and countered by members over and over again.
Wow that's cool and brave

Hey, thanks for sharing your story. I'm an investigator right now and still trying to wrap my head around everything about the church. I only prayed once to get a sign from God if I am being called or not. I told myself it's not for you. But, I keep youtubing about it. Glad you had you had your own spiritual light. I want that, too.
I would say keep reading and looking into it! Moroni’s challenge to read the BoM and pray about it. I pray that you find the truth and cling to it!!
This is so perfect! I love the point you make to not just stop when you have one question that needs an answer--just keep going! If you pray, the answer will come when Heavenly Father thinks you are ready for it. That's so awesome that you kept searching.
amen
Or you could go straight to God's word for the answer! Praying is great but The Holy Spirit speaking to us is confirmed by God's word and his word alone! Seek the truth! God says thy word is true! That has to be our standard for truth! We can pray and get a feeling that we interpret as an answer or the Holy Spirit speaking to us, but unless his word confirms it it isn't truth!
That is awesome! Now by keep searching are we talking outside the LDS church or being bound by what you can and cannot research?
That was a beautiful, Brother! I was just baptized in the church tonight and I have no regrets! There's people I know who were trying to talk me out of it but I knew this was the right answer. I instantly felt the Holy Spirit right after my baptism myself. Praise Jesus! 🙏❤️✝️

Two years later, how you doing? I’m a life long member, I hang my struggles, but being a member of this church is the best thing that could have ever happened to me spiritually. I hope all is well with you and your testimony.

Glad we’re all in agreement. 🙏
Praise the lord I’ve prayed and I’m trying to find a church.
This is so sincere. I like your thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
Come on back, bro. I went down the new age atheist path for over a decade and came back to the church last year. It feels amazing.
Count yourself lucky that you grew up as a member outside of Utah. Growing up I was a molly mormon and even though we were all Mormon it was cliqy as heck for me growing up in rural Utah. I might leave the church haven't decided yet. Thinking non denominational Christian.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful conversion story. Just discovered your videos a couple of days ago. So much to catch up with.
I agree

JEANENE Meyer Lewis CONGRATS on your baptism!! How did you come across Saints Unscripted? :)
I LOVE THIS. This is beautiful, and eerily close to my conversion story. Thank you so much for sharing!
Jaide Carstairs you love this ? Hmm 🤔 because y’all believe one day y’all be god ? Smith was lair false prophet. Come and read the real gospel and saved.

Absolutely loved this. Thank you!!
We need more of this today! I’m a convert and it’s not always easy doing this by yourself. Today there is so much negative towards us.

First listen to lynn wilder's story of leaving LDS
See this Romans 10:9 "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
That is how you are saved, that is true repentance.
You didn't finish the quote, can I have the your source? Just curious
That's how exactly I chose the Mormon church is I looked at the fruit that It produced.. and it was all good.. I've been a member ever since 🙏😎
Wow, such an amazing testimony, Kwaku!

God doesn't hate like so many people that like to comment against Mormons and blacks and whoever they decide to hate on. They just have too much hate in them. God is loving, merciful and Good--unlike some. Those that hate will receive the same unto themselves. That is the saddest existence. On another note:
I love hearing conversion stories.
Thank you for sharing your conversion story, Kwaku!! May God bless you and be with you always!!!🔩

Love this so much. Even though it’s old!!!
John.
God is a Spirit, according to most of Christianity...yet they refer to this spirit god as "HE".
Keto.
As long as Mormonism keeps you from molesting me and my family, I'm happy for you!

Y'all really took him off the thumbnail.
That's so wild y'all crazy.
@Bon Jovi Well almost all regions have their own quirks and peculiarities.
@Timothy Coll Well, I think this is where I need to bid you good day. Rational discussion is one thing, ad hominin attacks are another.

@saintsunscripted did you change the thumbnail of this video, and others featuring Kwaku?
We just had to change the thumbnails so that they wouldn't be confused with his channel (which has since been dismantled due to controversy).
you are amazing person thank you for sharing you conversion and testimony
Mmm interesting to be honest if you don't believe what your pastor is preaching just look into the bible and you'll see if what he's preaching contradicts the scripture or not 😁
Smh
With all due respect ... with all your questions and doubts , it is so difficult to understand how you ended up in Mormonism .
Alonso miguel Lozanoaumne no self esteem , that’s your answer . After all the crap Mormons had said about the color of his skin ..
I don't know what I'd do without the gospel. I have never had an experience that shattered my faith, and I am so grateful for that. Some day, I want to be a Sister Missionary.
Purple Poet11 I don't know what I would do without Jesus.
You shouldn't cease to be a Christian just because you see other people around you being hypocritical about their faith. That's not a good reason.
If God didn't create Lucifer, who did?
@@yourfriendmike4168 checkmate
Michael Rowzee Lucifer is and angels not a human, we are made spirit and flesh so we have a different nature. Jesus is GOD and Lucifer is just creation. We are made brothers and sisters of Jesus through baptism and no angel had the opportunity to do so
eddy J what are you trying to say?
@@yourfriendmike4168 that's not what Deno Wa said. They were criticizing Jesus being a brother to a fallen angel. Of course God made his angels, including Lucifer. But, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word, Jesus, was not created as Lucifer was created. They are not brothers nor are they on some sort of equal level.
I almost peed myself laughing, at 8:50 ! "Hmm..anyway.."
I've always thought it is so awesome. There are Hopi stories and south American tribal histories of Jesus (aka "Great Creator") visiting and ministering among them!
I love this so much!
I'm becoming a bit more brave with the idea of sharing my experience and conversion story!
Awesome conversion story! Thanks!!

Thank you for being here!!
Amen.
Well if read the bible you won't read the BOM
I really enjoyed this. Maybe one day I will have my own video of how I joined.
Is faith about finding what you like best or about searching for truth?
So proud of you, you're very brave.

Thank You Brother for sharing your wonderful testimony story ....... I love this Wonderful Church........I also love the answers to questions that this Church has that make sense to the Mind and sense to the Heart and Spirit.
So you didn’t become a Mormon based on anything that they preach or write in the Book of Mormon?
He did not say that at all...
No way! I lived in Cypress, Texas for about 6 years! I love this story. It's so uplifting to hear about your conversion
I remain unconvinced, aside from personal experience could someone show me some stuff to validate these beliefs?
Drummer Dog
Talk about your beliefs and verify them with the teachings of the prophets and apostles.

Have you considered the scriptures?
Drummer Dog
Ok I’ll try to make it simpler. Do you believe in the scriptures, or would you if you could?
Aloha! Thank you for sharing your conversion and testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ! ❤️
Read about the glories of Heaven.
Praying about Joseph Smith sleeping with underage and married women makes Lisa For Truth feel very very uncomfortable, and Lisa For Truth will know by her discomfort that what she is praying about is a lie, and therefore not the truth.
prove it
damahuob-I've never even heard of fourteen fundamental beliefs, so you are wrong
if you can prove it's wrong. I'll leave
What were/are your questions? I would be happy to answer them without judgement.

So you claimed all Mormons are racist, and now claim that you don't know them all. Which is it?
I'll add that the right choice for you, and the right choice are not synonymous with one another. The LDS Church is God's true church on Earth, if you've left to join another church, that's your doing. However, it would be wise not to attack the Saints of God or to leave nasty comments, to make yourself feel better.

hahahahaha "guess i was pretty shallow cause God had to send pretty girls to get my attention"
Galatians 1:8 - “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!”
2 Corinthians 11:3 -
“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.”
Revelation is the final Scripture.
Scripture is not what the prophets and apostles preached. It is a representation of it, and unless the scripture you use has been published by the prophets and apostles then you do not have the message of the prophets and apostles described in the passage that you think Paul wrote to the Corinthian saints.

Love your story and apologetics!!!!
haha I had the same situation. I was praying if the Book of Mormon is true and the next day Mormon missionaries came to my house. I was like: "Omg what did just happen ?? HOW??"
haha that was amazing
Klaudia Kochanowska God orchestrates in amazing ways :)
You prayed about a book ? Why. That is noway to found out if a book is true or not.
Marysia Rynkiewicz ? Have I ever tried what ?
Like Joseph Smith, I got a vision from God. Different vision but still with God in it and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Your parents are defiantly a lot cooler about it than my family!
All things have their purpose. Things and our experiences are always diff but often meant for us to grow and learn :)
Beautiful! I love your happy joyful way!
In other words he had some coincidences and "feelings" so he said I'll go join this church.
Islamists have "feelings" that say to kill those who do not join because they are infidels
Seventh-day Adventists "feel" that their "prophetess" is correct so they "feel" their church is the latter-day church
Proverbs 3:5&6 essentially say to not rely on feelings---hope this man finds the REAL Jesus
AMEN
It says nothing about what youve just stated
Very well said!
You very deliberately distorted what he said in a very dishonest attempt to discredit him. If you actually had a point you wouldn't need to resort to dishonesty to get your point across.
