@thunderborn3231 The more obvious reason would be that their record of the summer event tower being beaten wasn't nearly as public as this, so theres a pretty decent chance they didnt know it had been beaten at all

Emo_otican actually being a secret speedrunning legend is literally the most anime thing ever.
Actually, I don't get this; why does he think Emo_0ticon is Pydoyks? The footage clearly shows that Emo was playing _with_ Pydoyks but unless he's playing with two controllers at once like it's No Game No Life, this just show that they know each other, not that they're the same person.
@@MoonIitStrollhe assumed the accounts are tied regardless, because speedrunners often have alt accounts for camera/filming progress. Or to act as a jumping off point to exploit dash/grapple mechanics. Which he notices in the video stream recording that he has a second alt account or friend.
Even so, he can point to one account and that account can send a message with more details. Or deny being the account.
What makes this hilarious is that pydocks/emo release a new record run that is 10 seconds faster than the “43 second” barrier. And he’s probably a console FFXIV player.

Pint spends a year beating a 5 year old record, the next day the legend comes back, destroys the new record by almost 5 seconds using Pint's strats, and then leaves without a word. Gigachad.
He didn't use Pint's starts per se. Em0_oticon used drg dashes instead of reaper

The entire arc plays out like a One Punch Man gag. A hero sees some random dude do some incredible shit, is motivated to rise to his level after years of effort. Then, only after completing a seemingly impossible task the hero ironically discovers that the impossible feat he witnessed was only a fraction of the mysterious random guy's true power and in reality all those years of effort have gotten the hero like 1% of the way there.
Pint achievement is making the legend come out of hiding even for just a minute.

What I absolutely love is:
Pint went and unlocked RPR And DNC and even leveled up DNC so he can use the Dash multiple times.
Em0_Oticon in the video clearly only used 1 dash. So guy literally saw Pints video, brought a sub, unlocked RPR and DNC and just used the 1 DNC dash along with adding in DRG backflip to beat Pints time.
What a legend. xD
He’s wearing both Gaja pieces, so it’s much more likely to be someone who’d already played Endwalker than someone who just resubbed. But still a legend aye

I had no idea about the tower until Pints video, went last night, couldn't find the start, found a green ledge, tried to jump on it and fell so my climbing career ended where it began - on the balcony at the inside of the tower.
I fell off one jump from the top. I haven't been back to Kugane since.

It is the same burning passion that league of legends player have after geting so angry they throw monitor out of window, buy a new one and then still go and click the new ranked game queue. That kind of dedication and passion is what Pint had for this tower. Huge respect.

Nah man. He’s a speedrunner, he has that fire in him that means when he sees someone challenge him, develop new strategies just to beat him, he’ll want to give it a go
He was probably excited that someone actually challenged him and his position on a speedrunning time he got. He lives for that shit. For the race, for its own sake.
people don't know how easy kugane is to speedrun for capable people, from the games that are speedrun this would probably be one of the easiest 10%

Kugane Tower made my usually very innocent, calm and chill girlfriend screech the most insane, hate-filled "FUCK" I have ever heard from her. She almost THREW the controller too. I personally had a lot of fun with it. Frustrating, for sure, but I made it eventually and it was awesome
On the subject of jumping puzzles. Back when I played GW2, I played a Norn and did entire map completion on that Norn set to as tall as possible (this was before I knew there were jumping puzzles)
Norn was considered to my knowledge the hardest race to do the jumping puzzles with because the perspective difference made judging jumps a lot harder.
But not for me, I did that shit faster than most of my guild (we all did map completion together as a guild activity)
I got decently good at kugane tower, got it down to about 3 minutes because I kept missing the final jump, got to the top a few dozen times but still haven't got the sight, some day I'll get it.

It is pretty easy once you learn the jumps. Some are running jumps and some are edge jumps. Each one has a particular method. Once you learn that, it is pretty simple
ya, the kuagne tower was super hard at first. but i dont play using wasd or strafing. Im a mouse movement type of guy. My fastest time up the tower was 1:28. im pretty satisfied with that.
