    That's awesome, you are clearly quite skilled with soldering! But whats the benefit of upgrading the memory? Like, technically speaking it's great, but how do you hse the extra memory? Can you load and run more games from it etc?

    you can reduce the bubbling of the ic if you do a quick pass with the hot air to "melt" the flux just a little before you mount the IC on the adapter board

    Hello, in the first two minutes of the video the adapter that connects the swio, gnd, swclk, etc. outputs to the interface that connects to the computer is shown. Could you tell me what that adapter is called and where to buy it? thank you so much.

    • @PrimoAngelo
      @PrimoAngelo  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, the adapter cable is custom and handmade from a female 2,54mm pin header (stlink side) with cable, soldered to a female 1,27mm pin header (G&W side). 4 wires total. I do not know if there are available in the market products that you can buy...

      @@PrimoAngelo Forgive, I don't explain myself well. I mean the connector that welds the GNW. The connector that has 4 EB pins of L. I would like to know the name of that connector to look for it and if you know about a link where I can buy it. Thank you very much for your help.

    Did you find any issue with height clearance with both the chip and the adaptor together when reassembling the console?

    • @PrimoAngelo
      @PrimoAngelo  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, no space problem. As long as the height of the chip + adapter is equal to or slightly higher than the battery, no problem. In my case the height is the same. The plastic of the back even has an "indentation" in correspondence with the chip and this allows for a good margin.

    Hey. We found your upgrading videos so rewarding, and were wondering if any prototype services may help? Such as custom PCBs, 3DP, CNC etc. If so, would love to supply freely and reach any YT collab together! (PCBWay luz)

    Great. What about the iron/hot air temperatures?
    Any suggested solder?

    • @PrimoAngelo
      @PrimoAngelo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Iron 315°C, Hot Air 420°C. Solder 63Sn/37Pb or 60Sn/40Pb is fine. A good flux makes the biggest difference.

      @@tutubi I'm also a beginner, this is the first BGA24-to-SOP8 Adapter (and maybe the last) that I have installed. A lot of patience, a firm hand and a little experience also help with new jobs.
