How have so few people seen this?

It's a niche technology. Even 3D printing lost a lot of hype as people thought it was a star trek replicator

@@mostlymessingabout The technology is still a baby considering its not common for them to deal with metal

    Great technology!
I felt bad for the gentleman in the blue shirt though...- he got to answer not a single question if I correctly observed this interview - also while the questions were precise and very goal oriented I felt that that "talk about" request was used quite redundandly and ad nauseum - otherwise great video, thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the constructive feedback! On occasion, our interviewees like to bring along a guest to share valuable use case scenarios or to speak on their involvement in a partnered project. For that reason, not all of our questions applied to both parties. But don't worry, that gentleman in the blue shirt is Gene Granata of VERICUT, and we gave him his time to shine in this video about how simulation assists DED. th-cam.com/video/RnL-8BfZFv4/w-d-xo.html

Agree with the OP re. "talk about". After the first few uses it just sounds rude and disrespectful

It was a great explanation I am doing research for which I want the dataset to train the AI model to optimize directed energy deposition using laser can you provide me with that

I think DED can go ahead of powders 3D printers IF. If add CNC in tandem with the DED.

Hello Sir, thanks for this video,, i am also currently working on DED and i want to know this
1)what are the essential process parameters of DED?
2)What effect do these process parameters have on wear surface of a component?
3)are there available materials online i can find this?
    Thank you very much.

This information may be useful to you, you need 2+kw fiber laser
