- How to CORRECTLY Take Patrol Heli in Rust | 2021 Heli Guide

This beginner tutorial will show you how to properly take the Rust heli most effectively, as well as how to get the most loot from Patrol heli. This guide will go over the best guns to use, how to get them, the best base design for taking heli, the best way to take heli, how to take heli, and most importantly, how to guard heli loot.
I've noticed a trend lately with people wanting to take the heli in rust, and while its obviously a big part of the game, not many know how to do it correctly. So today i decided to teach all the newer players that followed their favorite streamers like Myth, xQc, Frost, and Blooprint, how to take the helicopter in Rust.

Solid video. I have a tip for you: if you de auth your tc and have someone else offline who is auth'd on it, the chopper will not shoot normal rockets at your base. I can explain more; this is an old trick to circumvent an old problem.
After 1000’s of hours of rust SOLO, I have never taken a heli. I farm Bradley nearly ever night I’m on, many times. can even take with grenades real easy once you now the AI. Never took a heli, I’m going to tonight though, you inspired me. Funny thing is I always build a heli/flank tower next to me to overlook my main base. This current month wipe, I’m on a cliff overlooking sea so perfect time to do it:)
When Heli does a rocket run, it will usually fly in a straight line over you and then come back. Run to the opposite side of where it rockets and wait for it to fly into view. This is usually a good time to get hits in at it's not weaving and has to turn to come back. You can see it fly by after rockets around 6:02

I made a heli base on the water a few days ago, it was my first time taking it from a base, and not the ice lake glitch on console. It landed right in the water, and I jumped right into the water with a full scuba suit. It felt like an action movie
Ok this just reminded me of something my friends and I did. One time, our neighbors were taking heli from their heli base. We SCUBAd up and raided their farm base while they were taking it, dove back into the water and swam back out to sea after ransacking the place. Once they finished taking heli, we swam up, stole that too, and then swam away again. It was hilarious… until we got home and looked over the hill to see a 12+ man following us home.

Combat gloves a must... M249 with muzzle. Always keep food, syringes and extra ammo in a small box away from windows preferably with a chair near by. If timed properly the heli should crash near the base. The best way to aggro imo is HV 5.56 with bolty 8x zoom then switch to M249.
Actually alternate between horizontal and vertical embrasures. You re half right about the vertical ones. See all the bullets you put in them while straffing ? Plus it compels you to remain standing and moving. There will be some times where the heli is at a good height for a prone position and in your line of fire all along the horizontal embrasure. That s where you can remain still and proning and you can sometimes take it the quickest.
I started the game 4 days ago and thanks to this tutorial I managed to shoot it down already but my friends stole the loot with the excuse that I'm too new to have access to this good loot.

I got really lucky got a tommy and ran oil got a row ak ammo and an lr took it for lighthouse lol
What server were you on so I can take heli for the first time

Me and my squad always die to the rocket run. What can we do to prevent that from happening
Id recommend having doors leading back into the middle of your shooting floor. That way, if it starts to come and rocket, you all can just run in there and shut the doors.

How much 556 does it take to take heli?
Depends on the weapon. I usually have about 2 stacks if I’m soloing it but it’s been a bit so I don’t know the exact number

I just know the recoil pattern. Comes with thousands of hours in the game lol. If you really want, you can go onto an Aimtrain server and look at the pattern and practice. ❤️

@Al Biss Look at 5:25 the left side of the screen. He's enabled no recoil and a God mode on this server after he almost died to the heli at 4:40. He doesn't have "thousands of hours." He's a newb.
@@cocainecarl4200 The purpose of this vid is to show a How-To, so activating a God Mode for the sake of the demonstration is fine with me.
And I see some recoil, but he's just very good at controlling the LMG pattern. That's what I think. But thanks for your comment.
why would you record a how to video at night? whats inside the "core" of that base?

I got a problem were it just never comes near my base it like purposely avoides the base

yea its really annoying, especially in fights or roams.
Not sure if you know this already, but if you only have two pieces of clothing on, and no tools/weapons higher than stone/bow, then it shouldnt target you.

we gonna talk about the fact that he said that the ak had more dmg than the lr against heli? bc no it doesen´t.
After looking into it, it seems you are correct. They do the same amount of damage. Its just my opinion that the AK is more viable, but I never said LR wouldnt work either.
@@Darknesslayer actually the LR 300 is more accurate, as it has a slightly lower recoil i believe, however the damage ratio of the LR was 10 points lower than the AK. you were correct in stating that. however, it may have been changed since your video was first done, as they did change the recoil model to be random now. they did make the LR300 harder to use with recoil now too, to bring the AK into balance with it, so in the end you may be more correct than you realised. the original poster doesn't know how to read the statistical information on the weapon.
LR300 damage = 40. AK damage = 50. LR300 recoil 400, AK recoil = 6.0.
IF the LR300 damage is more than the AK damage, it's because it's easier to control, but with randomised recoil patterns, that might be a bit more different now. the fire rate is also slower on the AK as well. those numbers might bring them closer together, but for a newbie, the LR300 might be the better weapon with more control over it's firing. i myself would choose the LR over the Ak as even after all the time i have played the game, i STILL cannot use the AK lmao.

Uh no? Maybe in your opinion, but that also requires you to go to launch site and take it from there. Additionally, heli has better loot.
