Hey Jason, thanks for following up on this and making this video...but what are your thoughts about the sound quality and maximum sound output level compared to the ML85s that come with the 600/800? I never wear my ML85s because they hurt my ears after awhile and their maximum output level isn't quite loud enough for my hearing loss. -Bill
Definitely. I would say the sound quality is about the same, perhaps a slight improvement. The loudness is plenty for myself, plus the Manticore firmware update added a setting for boosting the loudness to compensate for when using waterproof headphones... it makes the tones super loud. Haven't yet tried that setting with the ML 105's, but it should in theory still make them louder. You can also use them along with the Manticore's vibration feature to improve responsiveness. Hope that helps 😉
Hi Jason, you don't know me. My Ml 85 headphones also came with the wire, and in the instructions it states it is for when your battery goes flat you can still use them. These headphones also work on the Manticore, Equinox 700/900 & X-Terra Pro. I use the XTerra Pro.
I never tried to hardwire the headphones either to the 600 or the 700.. But now you got me wondering. I might be able to use them hardwired to the 540 also.. Thanks Man.. Happy Hunting.. Peace
Thanks for reminding me that my Manticore came with headphones. I need to take them out of the case & upload the software update. But I'll never use them as matter of principle - to lessen the chance of zombies sneaking up on me. 🤪 I've noted that the ML-105 is for the Manticore, Equinox 700/900 & X-Terra Pro, and (as far as I know) is NOT waterproof. 😁
@@Rking4094 I'm not sure how the 900's headphones are, but I'm very pleased with the ML-105 pair. The volume is adequate, sound quality is good and they're very comfortable for me to wear for long sessions 👍

Thanks yes that's also worth mentioning, they are not waterproof 🧐🤙
I have the 900, do you think it’s worth upgrading to the ML105?
