Another Cancer here and I now live in my 8th house and each one has been hard to leave - some more than others. We always had to follow my husband's jobs and "the paycheck" but each move can bring new friends and adventures. Best of luck and love in your new French home.

This is such a poignant post 😭. So bittersweet. So beautiful. "The house that loved you back ".... I truly believe that. You took a ramshackle house and turned it into a thing of beauty. You're so thoughtful and sweet, taking care of the garden and leaving a "cheat sheet" with information for the new owners. It's such a bittersweet thing, saying goodbye to a home you loved, even when you're excited about where you're going. I love what you said about it never being too late to take a chance and make big changes in life. It's something I've been contemplating a lot lately, during the last year of my 40s. Wishing you everything good for your move! I'm so excited for all the wonderful content you'll share from France. ❤
I think it's wonderful you guys raised a bi-cultural family and made sure the kids have a strong connection with their father's home country. Watching your French Project House journey and hearing your stories has been encouraging me to take steps in getting more familiar with my parents home country - and maybe make it my second home, it's a birthright! 😊

I was soooo excited to see this video. Even though I’ve never met you, I feel like my best friend is leaving me for France 💔. The fact that you went out of your way to clean, prune, and water the garden for the new tenants to enjoy AND also gave them instructions/tips on how to care for the house was just so amazing of you. So much to say here!!! So many feelings, so many memories!!! Everyone has said all the things I am feeling! Thank the Lord for you sweet daughter who gave you that encouragement and reminder we have to do the hard things a lot until we get good at them, so that we all have been able to enjoy the blessing of you and your gifts to brighten our day and lives. About the house being a person I feel this to the core! All my 31 years of life I lived in this house Im in now. Maybe 1 year in the old house which i was a baby then but this house is my soul. Maybe if my dad was alive i wouldnt cry about it n fear losing it so much but its the only place that keeps my dad memories alive n vivid…

I have viewed this multiple times… the empty house tour and walk down memory lane was lovely. You certainly made a wonderful home ( and garden!) filled with delightful family memories. The fortunate people who are new owners of this home and garden( so thoughtful for the tips sheet and to prune/fertilize during everything!) such an excellent handover. You certainly know how to do things properly- the sorting& packing - you really organized it so very efficiently! Hotel- genius!
