Thank you and yes, these numbers are amazing. I remember the ls2 and ls3 days when getting anywhere near 500 was almost impossible on stock bottom end!
This car definitely set on kill mode . Nice dyno runs ! Full bottle better weather i can see 700 but where it matters is at the track . Some 9.60-9.80s coming soon so hit that notification bell !! 😎🤟
Yes, Im looking forward to the next time im at the track to see what we can do might try doing some testing on a larger nitrous shot and see if maybe we get brave enough to try that!
Awesome! We have just about the same numbers. My 13 ZL1 is at 668 rwhp and 659 torque with using 50% E85. I still need to add the secondary fuel pump and the lower pulley. I am also going to have the supercharger ported as well. Hoping to be some where in the neighbor hood of 800 rwhp? ✌
Thanks and yes i was very happy with the results. I know the bottle wasn't full, but either way. I rather have a lower reading dyno pull and be out there pulling on higher dyno cars than have a high dyno number but be slowwwww
Hey brother, I have an N/A ‘14 1SS L99 camaro. I have a K&N CAI, ported throttle body (90 mm), stock intake manifold, 1 7/8” shorty headers (got them for $150, the only reason I went with shorties), stock cats into an X piped 3” Borla Atak exhaust. I wanted to do a nitrous kit (max 100 HP plate wet system) as it seems like the best bang for the buck). I’m scared to run nitrous simply because of the fact that the car isn’t 100% paid off yet (still have 1 yr on the loan) and i’m unfamiliar with the safest set up requirements (stand alone fuel system needed, wiring, bottle requirements, etc.) to keep from damaging my car. I haven’t tuned it yet since adding the headers, CAI, etc. I know that currently the car has issues putting the power down safely after adding the bolt ons with the Continental Extreme Contact 275’s I bought last year. When I put the car in “M” and go into competition mode (shut off the TC/ESC) and try to do some pulls (even with the tires up to temp) the car still spins the tires through third gear and gets sideways (which is not something I enjoy). I’ve done highway pulls (60-120…but only in Mexico) against 392’s, 5.0’s, newer SS’s, etc., and normally pull away from them). Anyways…I would like to know what you recommend regarding adding nitrous to my car. The kit i’m looking at includes the bottle, solenoids, plate, wiring, etc. The kit doesn’t include standalone fuel setup, purge kit, nitrous electronic control parts (it comes with a WOT kit) etc. I’m unfamiliar with running nitrous, and really need someone like yourself who actually has experience with using nitrous on our cars (I know mine is 5th gen and yours is 6th gen, but they’re still similar platforms) who can keep me from blowing my car and myself out of the atmosphere with an improper set up.
For your set up I would recommend a wet shot kit basically one that sprays both fuel and nitrous. Wouldn’t do more than 100 shot unless your using a stand alone fuel system which is more complex for a nitrous kit and not needed for a 100 shot. You would have to pull about 4 degrees of timing either in the tune or with a timing retard box that is triggered by a nitrous controller. For a 100 shot a window switch controller aka rpm window controller would work best or a progressive nitrous controller like the nos mini would work also.
I get a kick out of it when people in other states say it's very hot in the dyno area. Haa. Try being here in AZ. Dealing with 120 to 130 degree dyno temps. Car sounds great! As I expected 👍
@@JLSpeed ha ha ha, dry heat or not, its HOT and does feel hotter than anywhere else. I've had my share of Texas and Florida summers. But AZ takes the cake. On a side note, have you thought about bumping the compression by milling your heads? I don't know you heads/cam specs, and if that combination would allow it. Just a thought.
Andres Luna yeah Im not worried about the dyno numbers, a lot of people kept asking so I decided to put it on but I’m more interested in how it performs at the track and the mph it traps in the 1/4 that’s a bigger indicator of how much power the car is making.
lnsper yeah, it picked up some pretty good power, and plugs looked great before and looked like there could be some room for some more timing, but definitely will check the plugs
You do realize that that mask does nothing for exhaust fumes? You need a charcoal canister type painter mask to filter out fumes. Excellent video though. Thank you.
Robert DeLong thanks! And I wish I could have gotten to 600 lol but a dyno number is just that a number. We will see what we can do to make more power down the road lol

Yes it was checked during testing and tune dialing in. Once dialed in no need to be looking at it constantly and having it all logged every time you run the car as long as you don’t make other changes.
John Wizniak no sir, no check engine or codes when spraying. Only codes I have are from the tire pressure sensors due to the drag pack and the airbag light from not having the passenger seat installed. When I have the seat installed and the street tires on the car has zero error lights on the dash
Jorge Loves Speed great. That is awesome is that because you had it tuned for nitrous, because I would figure the air temp code would pop up for out of range. Did you tune, to ignore these?
John Wizniak no it’s not tuned for nitrous I use the timing box to pull timing. And I have a plate so the computer doesn’t see any intake temp changes since it’s after the maf.
@@JLSpeed Ok. I have full bolt ons as well, but I was told if I was going to put nitrous on the car I would need to get a forged bottom end so I didn't break anything. Did you hear the same thing?
@@danmcmannis6413 I heard a lot of that for people wanting to go boosted, but nitrous is slightly different. The biggest issue is the fueling and making sure the fuel is good. That is why i went with the nitrous standalone fuel system to ensure that i had the proper octane fuel c16 to make sure the fuel limitations were taken out of the equation. Being at 670hp with the nitrous, its definitely pushing the engine, but i think these lt1s can handle nitrous much better than they can handle boost. Staying around the 700hp range should be perfectly fine with the nitrous set up if done properly.
I wish it would have gotten that high, but it all depends on the dynos some will read higher than others, ultimately its how the car performs that should be the most important thing.
