How drastically the times have changed....😓 In such a great country where in the ancient times women used to walk around freely without covering their torso, a places where every human being was taken care off and everybody was equally responsible for making a successful and harmonical society, such gruesome and inhumane acts against women and disabled is just disturbing and disgusting....😢
This is not a reputable company. They were caught selling user data to data brokers and the "therapists" are not always licensed. As a snake keeper myself, very well researched! Snakes are too often sensationalized as aggressive and vicious. The reality is, these animals are timid and shy, preferring to hide rather than attack. In my own experience working with snakes for almost 10 years, on the rare occasions they do strike, they usually don’t even open their mouths. They’d rather scare off humans than do actual harm. I’m sad the snake was killed, she didn’t deserve that. Neither did beautiful Uthra 💔That man ls vile, an abuser of both people and animals. Thank you, Meghan, for always researching your cases thoroughly and sticking to the facts!! Fun fact: Cobras are considered to be the most intelligent species of snake. They can be taught to come when called and even play with balls
In India, there is a lot of mysticism around Cobras. There’s an interesting story that my mother tells about her childhood that goes like this- She lived in the mountains so they came across a lot of snakes. My mom’s younger brother used to kill them (there is very less awareness about animal protection in India, it was even worse then and snakes still do carry a very bad name), to get rid of them. One day, my mom, her younger brother, their cousins and a whole lot of elders were resting beneath the mango trees. They saw a paie of cobras and my mom’s bro picked up a stick to kill them, the moment he did so, their garden was full of snakes just staring at them. So he put the stick down, and they just watched them all leave in pairs till a distance and then they all vanished. It’s always been a fascinating story to me, vut I do understand that animals do have different ways of protecting themselves and cobras might be able to put people in a state of illusion. They’re intelligent creatures after all.
Snakes especially cobras are considered very sacred among Indian Hindus but over time the respect towards the species has been lost through generations. Also over time the irrational fear of them created through various social norms and gullible belief of the ignorant masses has put the creatures in danger with humans. Even now a lot of people will first attempt to kill a snake if they see it. Although now a lot of awareness is being spread through wildlife experts and snake rescuers but a large portion of the population is still ignorant.
As a south indian, what's really sad is this was probably an arranged marriage. Which means the victim's own parents probably picked the eventual killer of their own daughter.
As soon as you said the fang bites were too far apart I knew the snake was grabbed and held to bite. As an Australian I feel obligated to say this in defence of my many Australian snakes - they don't want to bite you, they only will if you get in their way, so be nice and remember you're far safer with a snake as a woman than with a male domestic partner.
Dowry-related murder cases never end here in Kerala. Even if its legally prohibited to give or take dowry, the society still continues doing the same and it's not different for Govt. employees who sign this agreement not to take or give dowry. The families of the bride thinks it as a symbol of status and the men's family thinks it as their right to receive it. Torturing a girl asking for her father's wealth would never be acceptable in any society... it's the sad reality here and we're losing our sisters everyday due to the same😢
It’s insane how even well off families will make a woman’s life hell just for a car or some money. They value her life so little, she’s just a lotto ticket to them.
Hey Megan I started watching ur channel for a few months now. Actually I am 13 years old and I helped my grandma to write an article on a newspaper on dowry deaths and I specifically added Uthra's case to it too, vismaya's dowry death case was another one that had happened around 2020 too. I am from Kerala and these cases shocks and disgusts me that these people wud do anything to get money even killing innocent lives
I really appreciate that they took animal experts in and tried to recreate this scenario. Because it IS extremely rare for snakes to strike unless thoroughly provoked. It can take a while to reproduce their venom so they typically only want to use it in a real emergency. Snakes would rather run than strike as many of them also use their venom to hunt. Which might be why he also starved the poor thing. Because I highly doubt Uthra menaced the snake or stepped on/grabbed it. Which is actually usually how people get bitten. Some snakes can be more aggressive than others but cobra are remarkably good at warning people to stay away. Cobra and rattlesnakes tend to be rather shy and avoid people when they see them. He tormented two living beings out of sheer greed. What a horrific and painful way to pass. Its also horrifying that he did this to a disabled woman who relied on him for support and likely had no way to defend herself or even get away. It must have been terrifying and I hope she's at rest now. Edit: Omg I just got to the part where she says he ended her BECAUSE HE HATED THAT SHE WAS DISABLED?? I'M - That's HORRIFYING.
In India there is a anti dowry law passed in 1961 called probably Dowry prohibition act. Still Government never stressed on this act as it should have. Now we can see consequences.
Some of these cultures around the world need to be abolished and be brought into the 21st century. From forced marraiges to dowries and young girls being forced to wed men that are 2-3 times their age. As for dowries, it sounds like they are looked upon as a form of extortion. Since the government passed a law in 1961 why are they not enforcing it?? Is it that the tradition is so ingrained that the government does not believe it will change? IF they did enforce it then the minds would change and women wouldn’t be used as a form of property and the would live better lives and the parents would not be subjected to these devious families either. We as women, and girls, are still being viewed as second class citizens and it’s time that this mindset is eliminated. Yet there are many men worldwide who are fearful of women gaining rights as it lessens the hold that they have over us. Women should have the same rights as men and the same freedom as well.
Both the bride and groom's families agree not to tell anyone about this , hence no way for the governments to take action. They mask these transactions as "wedding gifts". Both families always equally contribute towards this crime
Rest in peace Uthra, hope that you find peace in the afterlife, my heart goes out to her friends and family. It's such a tragic story, the husband was a monster

So here my request for you to make a video on Jadavpur University Ragging Death Case. Ragging is a huge issue in India right now even there's Anti-Ragging Law exists in our Constitution. This case is so cruel and so heinous you can't imagine. The victim didn't get justice and the case is becoming colder day by day. Even after that case the ragging and the deaths in the University is still keep going. So, please make a video on this Case. Love from India. 🇮🇳💜

Hello Megan, I have been an avid follower of your work for quite some time now. I truly appreciate the dedication and effort you put into making your videos. I was wondering if you could explore some cases from Sri Lanka, as I find your analytical approach quite captivating. It's confusing to see how underrated you actually are, and I sincerely hope that you receive the recognition you deserve on a broader scale. Love you 🫡
thats terrible. how can he do that to someone he loves or loved, i mean just get a divorce man and work for you rmoney. the cobra after viper, thats just cruel.
I miss forensics. Kudos to Uthra’s father for recognizing a pattern and responding to it. Can a large spider, a lizard, or other reptile leave bite marks or puncture marks like those left on Uthra’s arm? In the United States, death by poisoning is often determined by the forensic pathologist and the forensic toxicologist. Forensic technicians are trained to sift for evidence at the crime scene. In cases of vegetable poisons such as nicotine and opium, it causes contractions of the pupils. In the case of poisoning due to heavy metals and inorganic poisons such as arsenic, hydrochloric acid, or sulfuric acid, the victim’s face and mouth develop corrosion, or in the case of cyanide poisoning, lividity is a reddish color. It is a sad story. Can poverty force a person to mistakenly seek refuge in a life of affluent disgrace instead of living in poverty with prestige?
Definitely make sure you get the time and space needed for your own mental 😂 health, you are always the priority and true channel fane like me will understand that and wait for you

Love you 🫡
Yeee glad to see your videos, ❤❤❤
I feel bad for her, rest in peace, Urethra.

Can you cover the Lipa City Massacre? Thanks! Love your videos!!!
thats terrible. how can he do that to someone he loves or loved, i mean just get a divorce man and work for you rmoney. the cobra after viper, thats just cruel.
