If Shantae had other continuities: (Summary) 1 Shantae REWRITTEN: Shantae was a princess of the Fenie Realm, a magical floating island in the middle of the sky. Her father was a Scuttle town Warrior, and her mother was the queen of the genies and the Genie island. All life was good until Shantae's father died, and at that point, her mother was protective and wouldn't let her daughter go unprotected. So Shantae's mother decided to place her soul into an amulet called "The Key", used to unlock the realm if she was able to go out into the world. That day came as Risky's parents ambushed, with their youngest and only daughter: Risky Boots, they captured every genie in the realm, all but Shantae, who fell one mile from her home land. After landing in the middle of the forest, Shantae goes out and finds what she can try and find: people. As soon as Shantae stopped to smell the flowers, a pair of bandits (Male and Female) try to attack her, but then, Shantae's uncle, Eugene "Mimic" Rodriguez, saved Shantae by a hair, via a potion to their face that blinded them, indefinitely. As soon as the coast was cleared. Mimic took Shantae as her own. A few years later, Shantae was allowed to go on her own and explore, however, she needed a tool from her uncle: A HOLO-Phone (A touch-screen phone with the ability to project 3d holograms of the map, and interact with the calls). As soon as she gets her HOLO-Phone. Shantae heads towards Scuttle town to go meet the people. As soon as she got to the store, Shantae bought the biggest plush toy she can find only to hear a voice telling her to go find the keyhole for her amulet. Shantae gets a call from her uncle, saying that he has found something was going on in the town. A powerful pirate lady with purple skin due to a pigmentation was invading the town. That pirate lady was Risky at the age of 25, and she was looking for more power from Shantae, and her goal is to take over the world for her parents being poor, and although they are pirates, and that she was picked on at school every second of her life. After a fight with Risky, she leaves a mysterious item known as a "Genie Relic", which can give Shantae or anyone who wears them (they are jewelry), will make them more powerful than before. After Risky Boots retreated, she plots up a plan at her new base (Boots Manor), she hears a screaming voice saying "LET ME OUT", and Riaky sends three of her men to go look for it (tinkerbats are her men). As soon as Risky entered the basement, she heard the screaming louder as she pried a fake wall open, to reveal a dungeon of Liquid Shadow. As soon as Risky got closer to the cell, she turned offf all the Security Measures. This let the Liquid Shadow to attack Risky after escaping her cell. As soon as Risky attacked the Liquid Shadow, The Liquid Shadow evolved into a Shadowling (A humanoid creature that lacks a solid body after falling to receive all the DNA necessary to become a Humanoid Shadow, but mainly looks like a tall, wet shadow). The Shadowling was an experiment, a living being before being sealed away for 150 years. It had a family, but they were destroyed by man. Afterwards Shadowlings still exist, but it is just the one that attacked Risky. After the Shadowling forms, it stretches its arm out to Risky and later whisperers "GIVE. ME. POWER." As soon as Risky looks at the Shadowling, she sees what the intention of the Shadowling was: absorbing the DNA of SHANTAE, as one of Shantae's hair has landed on her. As soon as Risky gave the Shadowling the DNA of Shantae, a much more rebellious Nega Shantae is born. Risky now seeing the power of the creature Nega Shantae was, she want Nega Shantae to be her ultimate weapon. However, being a new soul freed from the dungeon didn't wants to destroy the world. After Nega Shantae declined on the offer, Risky begins a fight with Nega Shantae. After beating Risky, Nega Shantae learned how to use the power of Dark-Art and Light-Art and heads off to tell the world about Risky's intentions to the world.

I knew there HAD to be a prequel (just got myself the iPod version of Risky's Revenge). I must say, it looks really good for an Game Boy Color game.
Happy 20 years Shantae released on June 2 2002 on the Gameboy Color.
love the dungeon music
Amazing graphics for a gameboy game!
0:04 - Matt Bozon also released DuckTales: Remastered which is also distributed by Capcom and based on a TV series that aired on Disney Channel way back in 1987

This game REALLY deserves a remake so that it will be similar to the later games.
Bad thing they would take out her other dances
This game looks like it took a few pages from the handbook for Kid Icarus. Color me surprised!
This game is very pretty.
How easily could you figure out where to go next? I got this game via the Limited Run release, pre-ordered it as soon as I could, but because I’ve been busy I couldn’t find the time to properly play through it until now. I gotta, with Risky Revolution arriving in my mailbox in October! I hit a few dead ends after leaving the first dungeon, I’ve had to turn to your video to find out where to go next!
That cover art.. why does that remind of Pokémon?
Cause she looks like a Pokémon
This game looks amazing, and it really outdoes the Color's graphical capabilities, and didn't this game come out in like 2001? While the Advance was about? That's crazy.
Red Memegineer 2002 actually. This game also had special GBA support when plugged into it.
+NEON 7 what is the GBA Support about?
Gera WallStar I don't know the full details, sadly...
NEON 7 Wow.
Maximeme Wow what?
This is the best game on the GBC. It's even better than the Zelda Oracles games.
the animation for this is pretty slick for a gameboy color game
This game should be coming to Virtual Console for the 3DS (and maybe DSi, not sure) this July. So get both!
If would have been better if Ubisoft distributed the original physical copies rather than Capcom.
I need this in 2019
Wow didn't know Bolo is an OG character
So you thought Sky, Rotty and Mimic were OG?
She looks so angry when she walks
Der ScHlAuChi ist einfach der beste Longplayer! :)
I'm not very good at action games so this is a game I'd never play, but I like having it as background video while I do math on Khan academy.
I can see why not much heard of this game.It was released in 2002.Looks fun I might try this game.
Whiplash..... Every time i watch a Shantae long play my neck always hurts.
