I'm using X-M1 and X-E1, and the only thing I'm lacking sometimes is the electronic shutter in the daylight. XF10 on other hand works great in any condition. Anyway it's nice to see more really compact APS-C models on the market.
dreamy. been weighting for a small warrior. seemed like 2019-2021 was the end of the era for small but powerful so hopefully we are getting a new generation.
Basically just a rebodied X-T30ii... so it has to be the right price to give up the EVF and additional features over just buying a used X-T30. I'm just glad they are releasing a new actually cheaper camera, as the X-T50 was not it lol
Personally, I don't think they can skim on the IBIS. The Ricoh GR has it, X-T50 has it, the small micro 4/3 cameras it'll be competing against all has it; the thing is they haven't put IBIS in their ILC rangefinder-styled camera bodies yet and this is as good of an opportunity as ever to finally do so. There's practically no real reason to get this over the old X-A series of cameras if it's just going to be the exact same thing but newer. It may not have the X-Trans 5 sensor, but it might have the X-Trans 4 + X-Processor 5 instead for better performance. No viewfinder, a tilting LCD and there you have it, a small but powerful camera capable of competing with the GR as another option for small form factor street beast. If it got the X100VI/X-Pro3 dials, built-in ND filter, and they decide to release a new pancake lens along with it, that would be a bonus.
Anything other than making a true entry level camera is INSANITY! Replacement to the X-M1 is perfect it just needs the same sensor as the X-T3 or X-T2 has no viewfinder and just a tilt screen combine with renewed XC lenses but provide a sensible option to substitute the XC lens for an XF lens or even join with a third party manufacturer. Ensure it has half the Fuji film options that will be enough. If successful it gives the option later for continuing this model but adding a pro version with all or most of the fuji film simulations a better X-Trans sensor a view finder and fully articulated screen. It could be marketed as a bridge to the higher end X-Pro or as a serious backup camera. The entry is exactly that a way to draw photographers into the Fuji eco system something they are crimanly omitting at present and it will no matter come and hit them extremely hard in the future. All Fuji has now is the hope! To steal photographers from the likes of Sony, Canon and Nikon. This will n3ver happen in enough numbers because it js a cutthroat industry and as they steal photographers the others will be doing the exact same with the added advantage of cheaper used glass cheaper used bodies and for most still an entry level priced body lens combo.
Ne deal breaker for me is IBIS. Blurry photos can’t be fixed. IBIS allows me to shoot in lower light , slower shutter speeds and lower ISO. This provides me with more flexibility with hand held phot.
I think they maybe Name it x-pro5 and Skip the "4"... if they Continue to mirror the tech on their x-t Series. They did something similar with the xt40
I bought an X-A3 for 160 euro at MPB last year because it was silver/brown... very cool. That thing is amazing too! If you find one, sofort kaufen! Put IBIS in it and it's all you need.
I only want the Xpro 2, the last great sensor. Everything after is too clinical. Lenses and house. As soon as I can I will get the xpro2. I've got newer Fujifilm cameras but my XT2 is my most used one.
I switched from Sony to Fuji, it's not an issue for me when it comes to the type of photography I do. However for video it would be a dealbreaker in some cases.
Last entry level camera not the xt100, but the xt200 from 2020, which was discontinued in 2022.

oh thats awesome! probably a great shooting experience!

Would love a Fuji XF10 II with built in ND.
I would love to meet successors of xq2 and gfx 50r!
Please bring back the flip screen on the xt100🙏🙏🙏🙏

It really wasn’t it! I’m interested to see what they decide on.
Hopefully it'll have IBIS, the Ricoh GR it's competing with have it.

A video on Dark Vanities says the same
You two are right ✍️
I hope so!!!
I need a successor to my X20 !!

Same. I do think it'll get IBIS however, otherwise it'd be insanity.
My first camera is fuji xa with xf27mm lens
I was pleased with my choice but GAS got the better of me
haha, I know it too well
I'm confused about the xm and xe lines merging rumor. Isn't there supposed to be a xe5 next year?
Might be both, but the xm5 is confirmed for 2024
The XPro 4 will be the next big deal.

@@GoGrJrX-T4 👋
That's exactly what I'm holding out for. Perfectly happy with my X-T3 and X100V until then.

Would be nice if it would have a bayer sensor with a view finder, a nice pairing for my XT-4.
It indeed would, but I would prefer the xTrans4 sensor
The camera company who's been making the bayer sensors for their past entry level cameras has long since shut down, I doubt it'll have bayer.
I only want the Xpro 2, the last great sensor. Everything after is too clinical. Lenses and house.

Ive heard the love for the older Xtrans sensors a lot, must be some truth to it!
love my xpro 2 its amazing
The problem is:
Fujiifilm X-M5 will go face to face against Sony ZV-E10II
For people who look for fuji colors it won't even be a competition. Same for those who seek good autofocus of the sony.
One is photography focused and the other is videography focused, more competition is just more options for us.
All useless with their current terrible AF.
so, boycott?
I switched from Sony to Fuji, it's not an issue for me when it comes to the type of photography I do. However for video it would be a dealbreaker in some cases.
@@LUITESLIFE Same here. The best benefit from using Fuji is that I learned manual focusing in video and build a nice video rig
