I’ve been testing the 50-60 card piles lately and feel they’re just so much weaker than the 40-45 builds. You less consistently see your good cards and I agree with what you said regarding desires and duplicates, they’re just fluff to hit “60” imo. I’ve also been back and forth on thrust, it’s so so good going second but can be underwhelming going first if you don’t see fusion or they imperm you. Congrats on doing well!
I think the biggest advantage to puppet is your matches are always over in 20ish minutes. I topped 2 events back to back with puppet and only had 1 match out of the 16 played that got close to time. I had time between every round to get water, eat, go to the bathroom. I had no mental fatigue vs my opponents at the end of the day. Puppet lines play under nib, they don’t lose to most main board cards g1, and absolutely cooks snake fire. It is 100% the correct way to play the deck rn
