I love how you play the deck with a high IQ! I played it for such a long time, I just keep learning new lines and the interruptions you can make. Good luck on the regional 💪🏽
Love these in-depth videos! I've been messing around with branded ever since DAMA, and always enjoy seeing a more down to basic build like this one. I will still die on the hill that Dramaturge is a good extender, chain-blocker and free monster negate and I always include it in my own builds, but I get why so few people play it because it can be a brick at times.
I like Dramaturge in builds with Patchwork and more Despias in general In MD havin Aluber to 2 and Opening to 1 means you end up running more Shroudion and High Spirits and Bystials, too bricky with Dramaturge If we had 3 Opening and Aluber, Id run Dramaturge and the Despia field spell, I LOVE the resource loop that Aluber and field spell bring to the table
Great list Galzo, just a little question, how do we deal with RACE going second with this list? I know you play cosmic on the side, but I feel like if you don't run handtraps you need something like Evenly Matched or Lightning Storm.
You got to go with the full 60 card deck on MD But if you do you gotta play the board break approach. No hand traps besides Maxx C. I tried the old 60 card with Maxx C mini game and hand trap stuff. That’s why I tried 40 ish cards because I wanted to see them more. Then 60 card with them and it didn’t feel right because I made the deck bigger without seeing the cards. If you go first you can play through more than you think with hand trap counters. If you play correctly you can dodge targeting effects. And ash won’t kill you. You can still set up reasonably under Maxx C but i run called by just for ash and Maxx C Imo the frightful package is too good. I tried playing without it because I saw a lot of tournament winning decks not running it but made all the different. The amount of gas it gives you going second is insane. It’s still great going first. If you gain block chimera you can break a lot of boards including snake eyes. Plus the resources it gives you is insane. To discard. Or with kit putting a patchwork back in deck after you use the first to extend into branded white or red. It’s insane. But again you gotta play board breakers. I tried super poly. It’s fine but I’d rather not allocate my tight extra deck for super poly targets. I found droplets is slightly better because I can more reliably dodge stuff and spend different resources that are floating. Super poly needs a lot of setup because the right cards need to be on the board. Usually 2-3 droplets. 3 tactics. One talents. Frightful package. And branded engine is enough to break a lot of boards.
Real ones know to play goddess with the third eye instead of Dark magician. It also works as a light attribute for Albion and it can count as blazing cartesia to get you into your Granguignol without actually expending a real copy of your blazing cartesia! Ps. Love your videos Galzo. You keep the branded army going
31 minute gang. I'd really like to see your take on a current Branded MD build, especially after the SHS release. I'm doing 45 cards right now over there as well.
Great content. Wouldn't you say that Kitt might have a case use with Branded Lost + Thrust > Fus Dup > Kitt on the next turn to get back the Branded Fusion from banished? Of all my matches I've done this alot.
So glad I stumbled across you again, and specifically this list. I was getting really bored and frustrated with how Branded was playing and it was sucking the fun out of the game for me, especially since I don’t really have the funds to invest in new cards at the moment. This list has made me want to cook again. Seriously, thank you for making this.
Hey Galzo, your videos are really appreciated! You can make longer videos we'll watch 😁 Can you make a MD version, s8nce there are many hits there, with combos and tips
I love the full gas decklist, 3 albions and 3 droplets. are you confident in this list with bonfire, populus and rollback coming tho. Feels like a well timed main Ash or Droll will hit harder than droplet. And albion can play hard into droll itself which should be very popular.
Currently building a branded deck and have been looking for cards. So far I have been able to replicate some effects of the jester with battle survivor but it hasn't been extremely consistent because battle survivor only works on the field and it is super easy to get rid of.
A very nice deck profile with great expanations I see your point and I play branded 2 years now I rarely lose a mirror match and I would just reccomend you play one copy of branded banishment since it hits a lot of decks is searchable and special summons while acting as a super poly for example fire kings hate to get cards banished and lastly I believe dragoon still keeps value but should not be forced he should actually be played when your hand can support it or go plus with the discard still I loved your list and enjoyed the time you put in explaining why it is a great way to play the deck. May we duel one day hahah
I'm not a fan of handtraps in the side. My side is a mostly for going second with some cards really good going first. 2 evenly (vs lab and Rescue), 3 spellbound (vs flowderezee, snake-eyes, mirrormatch), 2 cosmic cyclon (for the fire king field spell, flowndereeze field spell, anti-spell), 1 feather duster (vs voiceless, flowndereeze, rescue, lab), 2 iron thunder (going first is good to have both a negation and destruction, with all the decks like snake eyes, centurion, lab, voiceless that have multiple traps or continous spells it's almost guaranteed to destroy something), 1 druidswurm and 1 magnamuth (not good enough for main deck, often you have few resources in the gy you would like to banish), jinzo (to reborn with sanctifire, worst case tribut summoning it over Albion or Cartesia, basically auto win vs Lab and stunn decks), 2 gravekeeper's incription (if your hand gives you a field that can play around this card's effect, it is sometimes auto win vs some matchups even when used going first and is really good going first and second vs snake eyes).
Fair question here, if you play droplet as a board breaker, why not prefer it DRNM ? Is there a particular reason (as pure breaker, cause of course droplet is a quick spell and thus can also be used to block opponent during his plays) ?
It is such a shame with Dragoon being power-crept out. It was my go-to turn 3 in my 60-card build. Ty-Phon is just such a good out now. I think 45+ is the way to go for Branded moving forward, guess I gotta get those TT Thrusts
While I enjoy the build, I would like to suggest running Duality. Tributing Aluber can get Herald of the Arc Light and Bystial Lubellion can get Borrreload Furious Dragon. I only run one in my build right now, but it has never been a brick in my testing. Don't know if you've considered this, but it's been working well for me.
It's a quick play. Set it, wait until your opponent's turn, force the interaction. It also gets denied if you need to open with Branded Opening (which I run in my build,) so I can understand the hesitance towards Herald, but I feel the benefits outweigh the risks.
What about handtraps? I don't really follow with the format change and what not. I don't even know where to find those informations so I really have no idea how I should build my deck for. Apparently last time they were really heavy on them? Why
any thoughts on using the new yubel cards in branded despia? I think the trap and the fusion would be a nice addition to the deck, but personally I would like to use yubel in a fusion focused strategy.
Hey there Galzo! I love this Deck Profile but what would you say should/could I play if I have no Thrust in my possession? I currently run Crossout Designator + Ash, Veiler and Imperm. What would you recommend with your stance against handtraps?
For someone who doesn't have access to Thrust, what would change for the deck profile if I wanted to take it to a locals? I have the Chimera core as wel.
Something Ive always struggled with isn't making the side deck, but know what cards from the main to side out... What are the usual targets to side out going 2nd?
have you tested the version of the deck taht runs allure of darkness and 2/3x tragedy mercourier? think it's too bricky? it sounds really good on paper when you draw right but awful when you draw poorly
New watcher here, I'm still playing the older branded despia deck, very close to your budget build! However, I don't have granguignol (yet), but I do have 3 cartesias, would it be worth it to play cartesia without granguignol for the time being, or should I just leave her out until I have granguignol?
Granguignol ties the deck together but I would still run her even without it. It recurs back to hand so it sets up branded in red/fallen of albaz discard etc… and it’s another poly where it helps make Albion without branded fusion if you hard draw albaz and a way to her
Instead of druiswurm in the side I play shifter because I’m still on dragoon so you can just shifter them plus put up a dragoon and that’s pretty strong
I know I'm running a little late, but how do you think it would feel without the Thrust package? I can't afford it and probably still won't with the MZMI print, so if I cut the Thrust pack entirely out, would you say these ratios are still worthwhile? I've been playing Branded Despia kind of non-committed as I was looking for a solid Deck to call my primary, but I really think this is it, I get the best results, the most engaging games, and I don't feel like I'm stuck tuning out of the Duel with nothing to do on the opponent's turn like I did with Scareclaw and Marincess.
If you don't have Thrust you absolutely need Nadir. Thrust and Nadir are similar in that they let you make Jade on your opponents turn if your Branded Fusion gets ashed.
@chaosstorm0967 I wouldn't say it's mandatory necessarily, but having a card that can accomplish what Thrust into Fusion Dup does is very nice. Nadir can be your saving grace, or a very nice turn ender that sets you up even better. You could turn to Crossout instead of Nadir, but then you would need to run even more main deck cards to make it really work.
I don't understand the importance of Quaeritis since you also run Masquerade, could you elaborate plz? There are very niche cases where it's useful at least in my experience with the deck. About High Spirits, it's arguably the most versatile card in the deck. The way you describe it, Branded King could be better in its place for your playstyle, but I'm in love with subtle interactions like Albion send for cost + chain High Spirits reveal that Albion where the opponent will never Ash Albion but have Droll ready and instead of going for a random draw I just add Cartesia that can be Special Summoned (or Quem if no BraFu) and extend my plays. Sending the revealed card is optional too so you get the Fusion mill for free anyway.
@@DStates I get that, but it isn't pro-active while the opponent can either remove it when they establish a negate or through battle (force BP, activate eff, make another beatstick then BP) and Dusk can also summon Quem. For example i have this spot for Starving Venom due to a lot of Purrely but i consider this the flex spot of the deck
Question : is Blazing Branded King good? I think this one is like a double edged sword (i mean a literal double edged sword not the equip spell one) maybe i need more flight time with this one
I’m only a casual player but it’s very very good in my opinion. Honestly the double edged sword keeps the card from being too broken and it’s a limitation that yugioh needs at this point. The amount of negation this card can do, along with its recyclability just cannot be beat. If this card resolves, you should still pretty much be able to break through your opponents board even though only one of ur monsters isn’t negated. Give it a try!
Am I insane or did you just forget to mention why you didn’t play Beast or Regained? I’d love to know your reasoning, I’m toying around with my build again after watching this. I previously ran a 45 card build with no magna, no gold sarc, 2 Quem, side decked super poly, and crossout + ash + Imperm and Talents (no $$ for thrust), and while I had great success with it at locals, it always felt like something was missing
Hi! i have a question : How do u play throught shifter ? its my big problemes every time i want to build a differents branded list where i say to me " fuck this package die on shifter" i know if i can resolve brafu its not a big deal but sometimes we have some hands with no brafu or easy acces ( like aluber/opening ) and for this reason im keeping playing crossout even i want to cut it Secondly : Are u not affraid about deck who dont die on board breaker or heavy combo for no HT ? Keep it up personaly i like this type of video for learn more about branded
Hey Galzo, Ive tested your deck on edo pro but I’m wondering why there is no Branded Banishment. I mean it works without but it could work with it too.
You're better off playing Branded in Red. Branded Banishment is great but it's a trap and requires waiting for your opponent's turn, which could possibly negating that Branded trap.
Tbf thrust could probably be substituted for Crossout Designator because the purpose of thrust in the deck is recovery off of interruption. Crossout just ensures the effect goes through. You could probably swap out the talents for a called by the grave for the same sorta results, or you could just cut that slot out and cut the deck down.
Why druidsworm don’t see as much play on main deck as the other bystials lately? It’s literally the one bystial I hate the most with its broken: “send” it’s more threatening to me than any other bystial
I see people run thrust but like never explain what to do Example: BF gets ash, use thrust get f dupe, op turn use dupe= mirrorjade at best and nothing at worst? I need someone to explain why fusion dupe for at best a mirror mirrorjade is better than just crossout? (Thrust its self is amazing tho, just confused why people keep saying dupe is you're ash out)
I’ve tried Crossout and Thrust (2 copies), and I settled on Thrust as the better option from my experience. If you just focus on getting BF through, the end result is the same (maybe a bit worse with Thrust), but Thrust is much more versatile. Thrust was a better draw going second. Seeing Thrust didn’t feel dead if I drew Dupe, but Crossout felt dead if I drew Ash (on games I had to cut to 1 copy in deck). Crossout also gave me a lot less flexibility (you have to keep Ash and the other cards you might worry about in your deck). Finally, Dupe can also copy Super Poly, so it’s not just used as a BF re-roll.
I play this as budget as possible because I’m not dropping $40+ on a single card and want to it to be competitive but also wallet friendly lol any tips?
In my case I don't play thrust and droplets because their price, what I do is that I play 2 trap tricks and 2 duplication along side with 3 imperms. With that you are able to see some interesting interactions like using fusion deployment effect's on your opponent's turn with albaz as an interaction, or, setting an imperm and negating a column
Wish to know is it Alright that someone can copy the Deck build you have used..what really sucks is Brandee Fusion is HEAVILY nerfed to 1 Copy Now. Idk what to do

Play 2x crossout, 1x infinit imp and 2x ash. This works really great for me.
Really hoping Thrusts go down a lot in prices soon with reprinting
Quaeritis is summed off the grave effect of Dusk Dragon. It let's you loop from nothing into another Jade since Quaeritis SS Albaz
Wouldn't titaniklad go off before your opponent brings littleknight back? making you miss timing with albaz?
Hey @galzo what would you replace if you can’t get trust?
I really want to listen to you, but every time i see the price of Thrust, my wallet starts crying.
I only have 2 thrust, any recommendations to replace the third thrust?
Good luck on your upcoming events. I hope you don’t get anti spelled or dimensional barriered sir.
A-frickin-men
Question : is Blazing Branded King good? I think this one is like a double edged sword (i mean a literal double edged sword not the equip spell one)
maybe i need more flight time with this one
I’m only a casual player but it’s very very good in my opinion. Honestly the double edged sword keeps the card from being too broken and it’s a limitation that yugioh needs at this point. The amount of negation this card can do, along with its recyclability just cannot be beat. If this card resolves, you should still pretty much be able to break through your opponents board even though only one of ur monsters isn’t negated. Give it a try!
is branded banishment not better than branded in red?
Am I insane or did you just forget to mention why you didn’t play Beast or Regained? I’d love to know your reasoning, I’m toying around with my build again after watching this.
I previously ran a 45 card build with no magna, no gold sarc, 2 Quem, side decked super poly, and crossout + ash + Imperm and Talents (no $$ for thrust), and while I had great success with it at locals, it always felt like something was missing
Hi!
i have a question : How do u play throught shifter ? its my big problemes every time i want to build a differents branded list where i say to me " fuck this package die on shifter"
i know if i can resolve brafu its not a big deal but sometimes we have some hands with no brafu or easy acces ( like aluber/opening ) and for this reason im keeping playing crossout even i want to cut it
Secondly : Are u not affraid about deck who dont die on board breaker or heavy combo for no HT ?
Keep it up personaly i like this type of video for learn more about branded
Hey Galzo,
Ive tested your deck on edo pro but I’m wondering why there is no Branded Banishment. I mean it works without but it could work with it too.
You're better off playing Branded in Red. Branded Banishment is great but it's a trap and requires waiting for your opponent's turn, which could possibly negating that Branded trap.
Will never understand why people sleep on nadir servant
If i dont have thrust can i still play the nadir package, is it good enough?
Are there substitutes for tactics talent snd thrusts?
Tbf thrust could probably be substituted for Crossout Designator because the purpose of thrust in the deck is recovery off of interruption. Crossout just ensures the effect goes through. You could probably swap out the talents for a called by the grave for the same sorta results, or you could just cut that slot out and cut the deck down.
Nadir is the best substitute IMO
Why can't you activate Granguignol after a bystial hits you? Does the bystial effect not activate in the hand?
He is talking about LULU because cards like Fusion Deployment or others Lock you into Fusion monsters
Great video my G
Really no “ theater “ field spell ? Like not at all ?
Thoughts on adding DPE engine?
how do you summon the guardian chimera ? cant use branded dragon or super poly
Not an expert, but I believe you use Branded in Red to bring out Chimera
Why druidsworm don’t see as much play on main deck as the other bystials lately? It’s literally the one bystial I hate the most with its broken: “send” it’s more threatening to me than any other bystial
Probably just because there aren’t many decks that need it recently
I see people run thrust but like never explain what to do
Example: BF gets ash, use thrust get f dupe, op turn use dupe= mirrorjade at best and nothing at worst?
Finally, Dupe can also copy Super Poly, so it’s not just used as a BF re-roll.
would it be worth playing 2 thrust and playing 44?
Loved all of it.
I feel like deployment at 3 is kinda bricky i would rather play another high spirits
I play this as budget as possible because I’m not dropping $40+ on a single card and want to it to be competitive but also wallet friendly lol any tips?
galzo need a vid that shows off how to play under branded lost
In my case I don't play thrust and droplets because their price, what I do is that I play 2 trap tricks and 2 duplication along side with 3 imperms. With that you are able to see some interesting interactions like using fusion deployment effect's on your opponent's turn with albaz as an interaction, or, setting an imperm and negating a column
Loved the vid. Subbed
Thank you!
In my heart branded is always BEST DECK
I'm probably late but any reason you're not running ash blossom and infinite impermanence
Wish to know is it Alright that someone can copy the Deck build you have used..what really sucks is Brandee Fusion is HEAVILY nerfed to 1 Copy Now. Idk what to do
