Hi Vanessa silent watcher here. I love what you're doing shining a spotlight on young movers and shakers in Ghana. Can i suggest you get Leroy Wadie on your channel for your next batch of interviews . He is doing great things with his Mhossenu arthouse as well as Danny Wonders and Dentaa. I would like to see some techpreneurs in Ghana who I feel like are sometimes overlooked. I hope I'm not asking for too much. Thanks
Caribbean Family in the house.... out of all your videos I really like this one, those pieces are beautifulllllll...omggggg. My family & I will be coming home as soon as this pandemic is over... Peace & Prosperity to you all... Love in the house!!!!!
VANESSA the dollar fluctuations too. Ask any one into forex. Using the dollar may be good for businesses to price products easily and budget for the future with less variance in actuals but it does not negate the fact that it contributes to the devaluation of the Ghanaia Cedis.
Yes we need to show our Kings and Queens. We have great history of great men who haven't been represented enough. I hope Ghana gets better with their history documentations
OMG, Jewel is amazing ! I love her designs and would love a few of her pieces when I get my home. I will be in Ghana in September to start the process of repatriation. I am so proud of all the Africans coming home to make the continent SHINE! I am so proud to be of African descent and I think many African Americans are coming into knowledge of self and the need to connect with the continent from which we were violently snatched from our Families, land, homes, & culture. Thanks Vanessa, this has been a great video and learning experience!
I love love loveeee this! I also love how you keep interviewing fellow fashion folks! ☺️ very comforting to see fellow creatives executing their visions in Ghana
That's an Amazing Space & Concept! I love promoting the Narrative that counterbalances Tadgedy, Trauma & Victimization. The Thrones & Crowns & Kente are Real. I would have advised developing it while lecturing.
Beautiful space. Ivy Prosper featured this space on her channel. There is a dining table there, that I absolutely love. Will check this store out when I reach Ghana, God's willing.
I live in Ghana, I moved from the UK. I refuse to buy anything in dollars as I think its just absurd in terms of value for your money in-comparison to the Ghana Cedi , granted if you want to live in certain areas they only accept dollars. But I live in one of the best neighbourhoods here in Ghana and I pay cedis. Lol maybe im just stubborn, but I will hunt and find exactly what I want and pay in cedis. Great interview nice to see the Diaspora living here, definitely easier than done but its definitely a rush! and a exciting time to be in Africa.
That was an awesome interview. She was very open and honest. I wish her much success and the same for you too Vanessa. I love watching your videos. Keep up the good work. 👍🏾🙏🏽🧡
Nice video and informative. I will be going there soon. I am engaged to a Ghanian and found your Chanel! Just subscribed! Just trying to learn more about Ghana. My ancestors are from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Kenya according to my DNA tests.
Wow, this interview was great. I really enjoyed it. I loved her creative energy and vision. I loved all the natural resources used to create furniture, that is amazing. She made some excellent points about who we are as Africans and our history. It made me really want to visit Ghana.

Lovely interview. Thanks to you both. Vanessa, could you try to do some videos on schools in Accra. I.e. to help returnees get an idea of pros and cons of different primary and secondary school options?
It's true in Africa they legitimise you thru physical shop. I try hard to do online business but most people prefer to come to your shop first then they do business with you.
Love the channel and the interviews you conduct. I am Nigerian living in the U.K., but would like to debunk the notion that quoting in Cedis is an issue, ummmm. Would not want to make a comparison, but they quote in Naira, I mean millions of Naira at that. You could quite in Cedis, and in brackets insert the dollar equivalent. I would hope your channel is catering for the diaspora and as well the locals. Just a thought Again, it’s a well put up channel, thank you.
You have some amazing friends. You need to get back to Ghana ASAP and make that black girl magic happen. ❤️.. I’m in Love with many of her designs. Are any for sale? Great content sista.
Vanessa, I want to see a video on education in Ghana. The quality and foundations of education in primary or elementary schools vs American Schools. I would like to stay for at least a year. I am also a teacher with a 5year and 7year. Will I need to consider homeschooling vs public schooling?
Greetings Vanessa Kanbi, first question. Are you still vegetarian, I just wanted to know? Great interview, we are truly a talented people when not oppressed or enslaved by other cultures..
Larry Wilson How can a person with Ghanaian blood in her be a vegetarian, we Ghanaians, we love meat. They will practice it for a while and when they get tired they will stop and there is nothing wrong with that people can always change their minds. 😂
I enjoyed this interview very much. Keep highlighting the realities that of Ghana to help the Diaspora make informed decisions to relocate to the Continent. Where can we find this shop online? Thank you expatise.blog/
