Hey, just upgraded my l5p ecm using this kit, got engine light with no communication to ecm error code, truck runs fine though, exhaust brake won’t turn on any ideas?

Say you put an exhaust on after unlocking ecm and wanted to put stock back on what would you do

No, it has to be sent in to HPTuners
so the box is just a relay that can switch on/off the ecu since you're feeding power through it? wasnt it easier to ask the user to key on/key off ?
Depends if you want to be turning the ignition on an off every 5 seconds for 20 minutes...

Please don't ask questions like this in public that's how we got into this mess of HAVING to unlock ECMs TH-cam and social media broadcast to the world that people were deleting trucks in mass an the EPA came knocking
So is there a list of what you can and can't do when tuning the new diesels? I was under the impression you can't do much of anything with HPtuners on diesels.
HPtuners is the only way to do the l5p’s. No efi live.
Can do anything as long as it isn't emissions related.
@@GoatRopeGarage I feel like adding power to a diesel will always run the risk of changing emissions. Don't get me wrong, Gale Banks can cleanly add power to a diesel, so I know it's a thing, but guessing with parameters isn't always going to improve things.
@Goat Rope Garage I want to remove all emissions components....will hp tune achieve this? Update ecm, load a downloaded tune, physically remove emissions?
Can anyone help, I've gone through the process for the parameter access but am still unable to access the emissions for the L5P. Is there another course to take or something? Received a tune from a "tuner" that deleted, so they got access some how! The truck is running without codes and full delete, but I'd like the ability to tune myself.

Hp tuners is just the communication gateway to the ecm, the tuner just uses their software to send his tunes he made on his software to the ecm. Hp tuners doesn’t support emissions tuning which is why you can’t access it.
