Munya and John's friendship is the highlight of every episode for me; reminiscent of Mark and Nish. Something about having no chance at winning the series brings people closer together
Obviously, Alex deserves all the praise he gets as the creator and mastermind behind the show, and Greg and the contestants also deserve all the praise they get. But I feel like we don't give nearly enough credit to the editors. Foleying in the snooker/billiard sound effects on every hit, the split-screen matching of Fern and Sarah kicking the ball, all great stuff.
My absolute favourite bit of Taskmaster editing is from one of the Season 11 team tasks, where Charlotte is being directed aimlessly by Sarah, and they intersperse the madness with shots of a blind Jamali, unaware of the chaos in the background. 😂
This is straight out of the Dave Gorman playbook. A bit more obvious than his predecessor, but immaculately executed in its dishonesty, if I might say so.

what i love about this is Munya is so happy to see John succeed. he shakes his head when he hears he got 0 points. but lights up with a big smile and hearty applause when he then hears john get 5 points. i love their friendship in this series
I can't remember any other instances, but if you're talking about the bathtub incident, this is way worse. There, he was just ashamed and trying to cover up something he did by accident, while this is brazen.

I watched this the first time while falling asleep and was 100% with Fern. No clue what the task was by the end of it. Forgot John's result, my heart almost broke when it looked like he wasn't going to score.
I knew as soon as they showed munya's first run that he had cheated, simply because the ball was going one direction, they showed a very convenient angle (7:22) where you can't see him, then the ball was going a different direction. I knew that editing choice couldn't be a mistake!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if he could cheat though? Sort of in that bumbling, hopeless, inept way, similar to when he had to sabotage his team. And it turns out that it works like a bomb.
I only just realized that's a different Bernard. He used to have a face. He certainly had a face in series 10 when Johnny et al beat the hell out of him trying to hang up his clothes.
Learnings from this task and the "get the potato into the hole without touching the red green" task: If Alex says "would you want to see it again?", it means there's some shady business in the attempt.
Dara is a great comedian and one of the ones I wanted to see on the show the most, but I've been completely blindsided by Munya. He was such a fantastic contestant, by far my favourite this series. Would have loved to be able to see him on the next CoC.
They definitely should run a viewer's choice version of CoC or some other format that isn't focused on just the comedians who won. I'd love to see Munya on a team with someone like Nish.

I just noticed that at 4:01, Dara is hit by a ball before the other ball touches Bernard. He did his best to avoid them before that, but he technically did touch a ball during the run. I'm glad they didn't penalize him for it, especially in light of what Munya did, but what is this show if not a place for pedantry?
You got it almost right. It is a place for pedantry - selectively. What it actually is is a place for the whims of the Tastmaster, which change moment by moment. (Well, more honestly, by the editors and "what makes for good entertainment"… but let's go with Greg as his whims do largely make the show as well… lol)
It looks like there are eight balls moving at the end, but at 3:46 - 3:51, we see that the silver ball hit a dark blue ball that stayed at the upper portion of the ramp at 3:58. It seems like they just didn't count the one that touched Dara. (That or I misunderstood the rules.)
No if you watch carefully, I think it is as he is shouting finished. But more than that it is a ball that is already out of play, so not influencing the ball hitting the mannequin at that moment in time.

I think the most outrageous cheat was when tim key picked up the plug from the bath and then fetched out the towel to conceal him putting it back in. he clearly planned it in advance and made sure he angled away from Alex and the camera. the only camera evidence they had of it was the water physically draining under the tub

Yes, I immediatly understood it as "just move Bernard closer to the balls". As I would be moving Bernad (as in fact he cannot move himself, he's just a pretend man) it would be within the rules. I think if I suddendly became famous and would be on Taskmaster, I would be the contestant with the most disqualifications of any contestant. :)
I think the evidence is inconclusive. When moving that slowly, the ridges on the exercise ball will have an effect which could cause that motion. Additionally, walking past would disturb the air, pulling the ball in that direction (faster moving air -> lower pressure). The combined effect at low speed may be the explanation rather than touching the ball
He does walk close to it, but I do not see the ball move at all. And his leg, which is the closest thing to it, doesn't seem to touch it. But let's suppose he touches it, right there. In that case, it would be self-sabotage, since if it would have collided with him, it would have stopped the ball, not propel it. While on the other case, the kick he gave to the ball actually propelled it.
